I hate that there are so many sites, and even banks, that refuse to allow you to create and register an account unless you have a paid cellular phone number. This is unfortunate for the many people who still have only a home phone number or if you decide to save money by utilizing one of the many VOIP apps that provide free phone service. Why should we be punished for not having enough money, or even a high credit rating, to afford those luxury cellular plans. But I discovered SMSPool when I was searching for a way to get my bank account finished setting up. This site had a actual phone number that thankfully passed the stupid screening scrutiny of my bank's app and website. Just make sure that you don't set one of their numbers in whatever app/website profile you are needing verified. These are shared numbers, so there are lots of other people using it also. Just use it for site testing or text verification purposes.
