Don’t book early bird!

Don’t book early bird in advance. its cheaper booking a month or 2 out. They promise that youl get the ‘best price’ if you’re early bird. But tickets are actually £100 cheaper now than when I paid. They also give free VIP upgrades. And they refuse to apply £100 discount to previous bookings. So it’s literally £100+ more expensive if you buy early bird tickets.

Early purchases got us penalised

We bought our airline transfer tickets early to be prepared. Snowbombing released a discount code where it's £20 off. They refused to apply the discount to our already bought tickets.

Penalising us for giving you money in advance to organise your event and pay your staff?!?!?? So bs. Fix your service. You should be grateful to customers who pay early!!! Why are you rewarding those who pay later?? Ever heard of first release tickets, clearly not.

Disgusting rip off

Absolutely joke of a so called “organisation” is an understatement. I paid IN FULL right away as soon as the payment request was requested. I had then asked what the possibility of cancelled was closer to the festival as i had to undergo a last minute surgery and they told me the cancellation policy was a 100%. I said fair enough ill keep the booking as is. Our group lead confirmed to leave our booking as is just in case we find a replacement. Without authorisation or confirmation they went ahead and cancelled my booking and refuse to pay. They even sent us the telephone conversation where we clearly state not to cancel my booking and they keep saying we cancelled just not to release the funds. Pathetic.

Kaboodle don’t care about your safety…

Snowbombing don’t care about your safety or wellbeing. Booked snowboarding which is through them and they didn’t give me my transportation ticket until 1 day before the event. I was travelling in the Manchester in order to get the coach and despite emailing I was given no information so I didn’t know what time to set off etc. When we got on the coach to Austria we again were given no information as to how long we were going to be travelling for or how many stops we’ll have etc. you couldn’t even write this but the coach ended up breaking down for 6 hours. Again no information as to what was going on or if they were seeking help. Turns out nobody was coming to help us so all passengers we’d sat outside in the blistering heat in France with no food or water no toilet (because that broke) no air con. Thankfully a truck driver had stopped and managed to fix the problem! We’d probably still be there now if this knight in shining armour hadn’t stopped to help. After arriving in Austria (36 hours later) me and my partner wasn’t told that our festival package started the next day, this meant we had no accommodation for that night! So we were left stranded and had to source our own accommodation that night somewhere miles away from where we were staying and had to arrange transport for that because we were left stranded. Anything could have happened to us (two girls travelling on our own) the snowbombing festival itself was poor. Some dj’s just disappeared from the schedule/didn’t show up and kanoodle/snowbombing didn’t bother notifying you about it. Bit out of order if the main people you were paying to see don’t play when you pay £1k+ for this festival. Places/stages were hard to find. Me and my friend paid for the brunch and they ran out of food and gave us a canteen meal which cost a LOT less then what we paid for the brunch 🥲 honestly they are a mess. Don’t waste your precious money on kaboodle/snowbombing they DO NOT care about you, your safety or wellbeing. They only care about your money! (Btw we didn’t get any sort of apology or contact in general or refund about our experience? There was so much more that happened but it’s too much to write

Save your money

I don’t even know where to start! Was told when booking a coach the drive would be 26 hours. It took over 30. There was over 70 people cramped onto a half hearted bus that had no air con that worked and the toilet stopped working after the first 10/12 hours of travel. We was told as a group to hold our urine in or go in a cup on the coach stairs for everyone to see. The reps were extremely rude and offered no help. I got told it was my fault and I had to hold it in for 3 hours because the driver refused to stop. We got about 4 hours away from our final destination and broke down. Again the reps offered little help, didn’t let anyone know what was happening and had to wait for 5 hours before the issue was fixed.
You will get charged per person for a cleaning fee yet at our hotel room as a group of 4 we never had our room cleaned once! no clean towels or toilet paper for 7 days. So I’d love to know what my £100 for cleaning was for because on arrival we got made to pay £200 as a damage deposit (which I completely understand) but if we wanted our money back we got told we had to clean the hotel room. So again I’d love to know what we paid £100 for if we got made to vacuum and strip beds!
The event it’s self needs to be advertised more as drum and base and hard tec. Was gutted when acts I love were playing hard tec sets as this isn’t what they are known for. Feel like there was only 2 places you could go at night for either pop or house everywhere else was hard tec or dum.
When arriving in the resort you can get your ski hire and ski pass for 1/3 of the price snowbombing is charging (again think this is a joke they can charge so much) so save your money and get everything in resort.
Drinks and food are a little on expensive side with a meal coasting €12-25 depending on what you get. A basic drink can start from €4.50-6 again depending what you get.
I think the cashless idea is good and did save a lot of time at the bar! Although never once got a reminder on my phone like I was told I would when my band ran out of money which was embarrassing because I then had to top it up to pay.
Overall the event it’s self is a good event just a lot of work needs to be put into it to stop either ripping people off or starting a trip off to a horrible start. A lot more advertising needs to be spent on saying what the event is and what sort of music you can expect. On the snowbombing map you should put what genre of music each venue plays so people have an idea as if you don’t want to walk a taxi can set you back €20-30 depending on group size so it’s not cheap to waste a trip to find out you don’t like the music.
For the overall experience (I get the coach breaking down was no one’s fault but the lack of communication was a joke!) I don’t think I’ll be returning and think I’ll try rise festival (you get a festival pass, accommodation and ski pass and hire for £600) or snowbox next time.
