I ordered a Nagaoka JNP-110 record…
I ordered a Nagaoka JNP-110 record player stylus (MP11 - MP110) for £GBP 63.47 (about the going price at the time).
Paid for by the deadline (!) 28 Dec 2020. It is now 16 Feb 2021. A person at SNVINYL responded to my email dated 13 Jan to say the shop was out of stock for this stylus, and awaiting fresh deliveries from Japan, but held up by C19 (Covid). I think there is a genuine problem getting stuff into Britain for this person as a business, at the cost required. It all seems a solo run operation.
I have still not received the purchased item.
I think whoever is running the show is maybe a bit nerdy? I have to say this person seems genuine. As a professional business that is able to deliver he/it is very poor though. There has been no response to my request for a refund, and SNVINYL is no longer replying to my emails. I think I do still have faith I will receive the stylus, but when that will be I do not know.
I have researched and found out that other suppliers in the UK are having the same difficulties with this stylus re. importing it.

I getting very worried as I ordered an expensive cartridge two weeks ago and I am unable to contact the supposed seller by phone or e mail to find out anything!
I will be trying my bank but I wish I had read the reviews as it looks like this company doesn't exist and I have lost my money!
If I do not receive any communication in the next 5 days I will be reporting the business as fraudulent.

It has been two months now since i ordered a stylus from this site and despite many emails in an attempt to reach out and inquire about my order I am still waiting. There seems to be a complete disconnect between the author of my replies and truth. Buyer beware!!
PS this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I guess sooner or later it was inevitable.
Definitely a real site! My experience was great
Ordered 5 records on Sunday 7th February 2021, they arrived very safely packed on Tuesday 9th. No other UK retailer stocked all these records and the prices I found elsewhere were higher. Only Amazon could have delivered faster and they had precisely none of these records listed. The order was a mixed bag of Sam Records limited runs through to Speakers Corner and a pretty standard Music on Vinyl. I've bought hundreds of records over past couple of years - this is the best service I've received.
Is SNVINYL a fraudulent "Ghost" Website?
I ordered two stylii on 13 Jan 2021. I wish I had read the reviews here as I am now (09 Feb 2021) assuming I am not going to receive anything in return for my £58. As the package was supposed to be sent from within the UK by tracked mail I thought a polite email to the support email address for snvinyl quoted on the receipt to ask if they would check the tracking was permissible. Turns out that the email could not be delivered because the email address doesn't exist! I tried the phone number given and that doesn't exist either. I had had an unusual ordering experience where I followed the order procedure to conclusion on the website - everything went through but I wasn't asked for any money. The next morning I found an invoice in my email, which I then paid. For some reason PayPal was not allowed and I had to use a credit card. I was emailed a receipt. Apparently this originated from a company which is called Stripe which partners snvinyl to provide invoicing and payment services. It seems to me that snvinyl has a "ghost" website and the business is likely defunct. I will wait 28 days before I call "fraud". I hope I am wrong but this seems no way to run a business. I will be glad to print a retraction if it turns out snvinyl is simply negligent in keeping their contact details current.
Placed an order on 29/12/2000
Placed an order on 29/12/2000. Received only a confirmation of receipt of payment and nothing since (it's now 30/01/2021). Tried to reply to that email, and contact them at their support email address and both are coming back undeliverable.
Not amused. Shall be putting in claim.
Avoid like the plague, seller does not respond to emails or refund requests, and delivery is unbelievably slow
Avoid like the plague. Placed an order for 4 records for a friend's birthday. After 4 days none had been dispatched and wouldn't have arrived on time, so I tried to cancel the order. No response. I sent a follow up email, but still absolutely no response. Ended up having to get the records from Amazon for his birthday, which arrived on time. THEN TWO WEEKS LATER, what happened? 2 of the records from the order I tried to cancel turned up on my doorstep. At this point I just sold them on eBay since I knew asking for a return would just be ignored, but now it's been a whole month since I originally ordered the 4 and the other two still have not arrived. Awful experience, and to think I originally placed the order to support a smaller business during COVID.
Happy with my order!
Ordered an LP on the 17th Jan (Sunday) and it was packed ready for shipping that day. Arrived 21st Jan on a 3 day delivery service. 1 day extra is fine by me in the current times. Came in perfect condition, well wrapped with an additional complimentary gatefold protective sleeve. I have nothing to complain about with this order.
I have ordered from Snvinyl before and had slight issues with communication etc as others are saying and it can leave you feeling a bit uneasy. I also spoke to Scott on the phone once and felt the same way as others express.
But I've come to the conclusion that Snvinyl aren't going to rip you off and are completely legit but they are just a little behind on what everyone expects these days from a supplier of goods which is basically based on impatience. Everyone wants something instantly and if they can't, they kick off. As long as I'm informed exactly what's going on and I receive what I ordered then I'm happy.
I also think folks should give the guy a break with the bad reviews. He stocks great stuff and at very good prices! (plus most LP's are coming from the states which can obviously cause delays). I'm pretty sure this is just a one man operation so I imagine he just gets swamped with orders often.
A message to Snvinyl - If you haven't got the stock or there's an issue with an order just be straight and inform the customer straight away. People are usually fine with that. Peace.
Business?
Without question, the worst 'business' i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. There is no point me ranting on about how bad they are, just read the negative feedback, it is an honest reflection. Dont deal with them, if you do, or have, then i suggest a refund from the bank at the earliest opportunity and a trip anywhere else for your purchase
Took time
I can see why people leave bad reviews. Took forever to receive my order, ordered 3rd of December and it rocked up on 6th of January. However it did arrive as described, well packaged and half way through did email and enquire about it and received prompt reply saying stock had been delayed and would get roughly when I did.

A total scam and arrogant person to deal with. Does not pick up the phone, send nonsense responses to my e-mail. Took my money and have not been able to contact or get any of my purchased goods.
I filed a legal follow up but I guess that will render useless if this scam shop has gone bust. Anyway DO NOT SHOP there!
5-Stars for the worst experience ever.
With so many really good UK hi-fi dealers around, you really want to torture yourself to buy here. I ordered a GEM Dandy Polytable turntable from them. They had it in stock according to their website, so that would save me a lot of them against ordering one in the US. I got a pro-forma invoice instead of a real invoice, and I wondered if they really had one in stock. Well, they had not. Probably I asked them a very difficult question, since there came no straight answer to my question. I cancelled my order. A few years (!) later, I again wanted to order from them. Another turntable and they had it in stock. Cool. Then I received a strange invoice. The amount did not quite match what the turntable should cost according to the SN Vinyl website. Another email. Now things got 'interesting' at least. They did NOT want to sell me the ordered product, but they DID want me to pay for that first turntable. To make it clear: the same turntable I had never received, and the same one that they have never ordered from Mr. Merrill, the supplier. I did not quite get the logic and was sure this was a mistake. So I took my phone to simply call them... The conversation derailed quickly. Both father and son had something to say...they were very angry and verbally aggressive. I am still wondering how such a business can possibly excist. This whole thing happened a few years ago, and is still beyond belief to me. All my contacts with other UK hi-fi traders have been very positive. Hopefully I managed to keep this review constructive. Don't even try to buy here is my advise.
beyond a bit dodgy
i was a bit put off originally by the what can only be described as a web site that looked like it was built in 1998.
but that aside i put on my order in, bit of an odd payment system to, again that side after a week of no email or info about my order but the payment made i email them and was told yeah we have it will ship it soon, waited another week emailed again yeah we ship it soon by week three i got a sh1tty email from them and they said they are refunded my money, have yet to get my money back but would warn any one off using this dodgy looking site terrible customer service will never buy from them again
WARNING: Avoid snvinyl !!!
Avoid this criminal seller, if you don't lose your money! To much lies, poor service and fake feedbacks.
Ordered some vinyl from Snvinyl
Ordered some vinyl from Snvinyl, very prompt with the delivery and great packaging . Will order again from them.....
Very much a mixed bag with this…
Very much a mixed bag with this supplier, but on balance its a 2-star review... The prices seem fair, the ordering process simple, the payment process, easy to follow and where an item is in-stock, it seems to arrive in a reasonable time... However, lots can and has gone wrong... On two occasions, (the latest still outstanding), payment was taken for an item that was not in stock at point of order or when payment was taken, (I believe this borders on illegal but unsure). The email address and, ( i have been informed telephone no.), on the payment request are not current, the email bouncing back. When I have received a reply to a request for info, the responses are varied in their lucidity. On occasions I have received a reasonable explanation to my query, but mostly, it is a "one line" or worse, one word response... For instance, I sent an email regarding an email I received from what appeared to be an unrelated person to say that a consignment had been posted, (the only clue on that email as to its origin was an order number which I matched to one of mine... I quoted the order no. and simply asked what items were in this consingment, (multiply items were ordered under the order ref.), the response email contained just one word..."Records".... The latest issue is concerning an order placed in July 2020 for an item that was quoted 7-21days at the time. Nothing turned up so I emailed snvinyl, (email address not allowed to be quoted), and received a reasonable and polite reply that pressing of the item had been delayed... However, in September, I received an invoice for the item so I paid it immediately with confidence that the item was now available and would soon be on its way... To date, nothing has arrived... I have now sent 3x emails asking for my order to be cancelled and to refund me... The last one saying that I would be contacting my credit card issuer if no response was received in 24hrs... I'm still waiting.... Just like the poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow... "When she was good, She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid'.
Update: No response to 3x emails now so in addition to my credit card issuer, now contacting South Lanarkshire Trading Standards...
Great service
I ordered a new vinyl record online after seeing SN had it at a good price. I proceeded to checkout then afterwards searched for reviews. I was led to here and immediately panic set in when I read the bad reviews. I needn’t have worried at all. The record turned up within a few working days, extremely well packaged and the record is perfect.
My experience of this seller was very positive.
This seller has a few bad reviews but…
This seller has a few bad reviews but thought I’d write this because this is my 4th purchase with him and I have never had a problem with this seller always delivered quickly I only buy stock records.
All alright with me thanks for great service.
Not to be touched with a bargepole
That man Nangle should not be touched with a bargepole. I ordered a Shibata cartridge on June 18 for £124, received the wrong stylus, sent it back right away and have been trying ever since to be sent the stylus or at least get a refund. I got only one answer ("trying to get the stylus from my suppliers"), since then stony silence. Never, never order from this man.
Don't even think about it!
Don't even think about spending a penny of your money here. My wife ordered a cover for my turntable, intended as a birthday present. The site gave a delivery time of 7-21 days, which was plenty of time for the item to be received ahead of my birthday. Over four weeks later, past my birthday, we had received nothing. No cover, no communication, nothing. So she emailed snvinyl. The email bounced. So she telephoned. Number not in service. She reported the non-arrival of the product, and the impossibility of contacting snvinyl, to her credit card company and, following their investigation, she has now received a refund. Of course, snvinyl are extremely good at taking your money (despite the stupidest payment system on the entire Internet). Once they have your money, that's the last you hear from them. Is it a scam, or are they just totally incompetent? Truth is, it doesn't matter - either way they took our money and sent us nothing. So our advice is look elsewhere. There are thousands of honest, reliable, efficient companies out there who will give you good service, communicate properly with you and actually deliver the product they have charged you for.
Failing to deliver over 4 weeks after having taken the money is bad enough - but the total lack of communication, plus an email and telephone that don't work, is inexcusable and the mark of a company that has no regard whatsoever for its customers.
