I had an excellent experience with Alex Flory

I had an excellent experience with SoCode throughout the recruitment process, and I would like to highlight the outstanding work of Alex Flory, who served as the bridge between myself and the company.

What set this experience apart was the quality of communication from start to finish. Alex demonstrated a level of transparency that is rarely seen in recruitment. I was always kept informed, never left guessing about next steps, and felt that the information shared with me was honest and straightforward.

Cowboys my husband worked for them

Cowboys my husband worked for them , they still owe him over 2000 pounds in wages. Terrible customer services they left old people in winter with no heating. Rubbish cheap products have no clue how to run an effective company with good customer service and quality of work they are happy to pass off is shocking.
Both owners are cowboys and have numerous companies that have folded or they have different address for. Do not know how they sleep at night let’s hope Karma catches up on them

MINUS 1000000! ABSOLUTE SCUM DO NOT WORK OR USE THIS COMPANY. NO INSURANCE, USE COWBOY BUILDERS AND DO NOT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT ECO.
OLIVER GILLIBRAND IS A COWBOY, DOES NOT PAY WAGES, GOES ON HOLIDAYS AND SPENDS EVERYONES WAGES THEN PAYS THEM 2 WEEKS LATE AND NOT PAID IN TO ANY PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS.
ABSOLUTE SCUM AND COWBOYS. USE ANOTHER COMPANY IS YOU HAVE ANY SENSE. STILL WAITING FOR 2 GRAND TO COME INTO MY ACCOUNT AND OLIVER IS SETTING UP A BUSINESS IN ANOTHER NAME AND DEPARTMENT. DISGUSTING MAN!!!!!!!!

Not even one star

Thieving scum scamming vulnerable people leaving every job half finished, as soon as they get their government funding they leave the job and never go back to finish work then tell the customer to sort it out themselves as its a free scheme. Leaving loads of old people with no hot water for weeks or months, disgusting attitude from stupid scumbags, I'm still owed over £1300 for wages and expenses from these absolute scum. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! LYING SCUM!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a great experience with So Eco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a great experience with So Eco. I applied online at the beginning of November and everything was completed within 3 weeks. The surveyor came round the week after I applied and I then had a free boiler and loft insulation installed.

Mark and David who came to do the work were very polite and the staff in the office gave me lots of information.

Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sadly i'am a victim of there scam there…

Sadly i'am a victim of there scam there have damaged my property 5 bedroom property there's damp and mould coming through the walls, there's to person who work for them under the name of Luke and he gone missing there insurance company a fake the company is under investigation by the government department, it's going to cost me 7.000 pounds to get back the way it was, please avoid at any cost don't trust them there telephone don't work there's a gang of them working together Blackburn and Burnley.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company , they do not complete work , they cause damage. They do not respond to phone calls or emails and if you manage to speak to them they say they will call back and don’t. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Left with a cold , damp house after 4 months engineer do not show when they say they will now no response. The last excuse was the van broke down. They still advertise they do eco 4 government grants please avoid I’d hate anyone to have to deal with what we have😡

Avoid at all costs - Nightmare experience with So-Eco

If could give this company zero stars, I would. So-Eco began work on my property on 10th April 2024, with a 10-day completion estimate, yet six months later, my project is still unfinished. This has been an absolute nightmare from start to (still not) finish.
Communication with So-Eco was appalling. Contractors showed up unannounced or didn’t come when scheduled, making planning impossible. My emails went largely unanswered, and I felt completely abandoned as a customer.
Their work left my property uninhabitable for 14 weeks. They ordered the wrong part for the heat source pump—twice—leaving me without hot water. Damage to my home and personal belongings was severe: soft furnishings ruined, my new shutters broken, clothing left uncovered and covered in dust, and sludgy radiator water was spilled across my furniture, floor, and even my bedside lamp. They even used my lasagne dish to catch radiator water! Rubbish, including old radiators, plasterboard, and other debris, was left strewn around my home and garden.
It was a heartbreaking experience. I’m grateful that Cornwall Council responded to my complaint by removing So-Eco from their preferred supplier list, but I hope others avoid the distress I endured. Be very careful and do thorough research when selecting a company for grant-funded installations. This was the worst customer experience of my life.
UPDATE - So-Eco are currently in a state of suspension by NAPIT. They have also been suspended by The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

My overall experience with So Eco isn't…

My overall experience with So Eco isn't good. My EPC isn't accurate at all. As far as I'm concerned. They contacted me saying they couldn't do anything for my property as my EPC is rated as a D. Yet the Department For Energy Security and Net Zero claim they want more properties to be in C EPC ratings.

There is a conflict for a start. They kept insisting that my property is in a conversation area despite telling them several times that it's not.

Had to send a screenshot of the local area showing where the conversation areas are. My whole experience with the ECO4 scheme is it's not fit for purpose as are the EPC's that go with them.

They fail to recognise and identify fuel poor properties. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't help with the carbon footprint if I leave mine as it is.

I'm still in the same place as far as I'm aware it's supposed to help reduce the carbon footprint but clearly its not the case. ECO4 installers can do as they please and no one is regulating them. It's a complete farce.

Terrible customer service

I have tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt because I had a mixed experience initially, but have had so many issues now that I can't justify more than one star. The original installation was booked in to take three days, communication about when the installers would come was terrible, and in the end installation took two weeks stop-start. I had agreed with the surveyor and the operations manager that the heat pump would be raised up so it wouldn't get in the way of our neighbours in a narrow alley - the installers didn't know a thing about this, but eventually the company did manage to reinstall it in the right place after chasing them weekly, 2 months later. Not long after it became apparent that my roof was leaking as a result of the solar installation, and there were some other more minor problems as well. It is now nine months later and it is still not addressed despite all sorts of promises. Phone calls rarely get returned and I have to continuously chase them. They have such a high staff turnover that I've had to explain the same problems again and again. Everyone is very friendly and the heat pump and solar itself work well but their internal communication is so terrible that in the end just nothing happens to address issues. Extremely frustrated and considering complaining to MCS or legal action to get my remaining issue sorted.

No solarSince the installation by So Eco NW the…

Since the installation by So Eco NW the solar system has never worked properly.
They have been out twice to uprate the MCB cos it kept tripping which was only masking a problem.
When the electrician took off the cover it was sooted up with black because the wiring wasn't nipped up properly so a gap was created hence the jump of the electric to the terminals which started burning creating the soot.
He rewired the box then put a higher powered MCB tripswitch in and said it was now correct.
This was in wintertime with a weak Sun.....2 weeks later it was back to the solar inverter switching off again but also reading OTHER DEVICE FAULT it only comes on after 6pm now when the sun is. Very Weak.
I took photos of the display panel reading and emailed them 5 times and their reply was it was getting passed on to the Remedials team who would treat it as A PRIORITY CASE!.
This was 15/1/24 and after countless attempts to ring them....all I get is an automated message and nobody ever gets back to me.
I've also left voicemail messages and again.. nobody gets back.
This is isn't the way to run a big company... where's the customer service? It's non existent.
That's where it is.. Don't bother with this company.

Don't Waste Your Time

My elderly mother applied for a Eco4 grant for a new boiler. The installers turned up at her property early on a cold February morning without giving any advance notice. After sending them away we tried to re-arrange another appointment, on three occasions they failed to arrive without any explanation. Their communication is not poor, it's non-existent!

Hi Andee Thank you for your review however this is not correct, in the first instance when you say we turned up unannounced we had in fact arranged to attend your mothers property on the specified day, you turned us away as you didn't understand the process. On the second and final occasion our installers was ill and rang in sick that morning, as soon as we had the information we advised you of this and attempted to re arrange however you wouldn't. This was in fact the only time when arranged to visit that we didn't turn up (not 3 times) and we informed you as soon as we possibly could.

Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere!!!

I was eager to enhance the energy efficiency of my property, so I recently engaged with So Eco for their services. However, my experience with them left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment.

Firstly, communication with So Eco was abysmal from the outset. It seemed like pulling teeth to get a response from them, whether via phone calls or emails. Their lack of responsiveness made the entire process frustrating and drawn-out.

When the work finally began, it quickly became evident that the quality was subpar. The workers seemed inexperienced and rushed, resulting in sloppy installations and shoddy finishes. To add insult to injury, the project ended up being significantly delayed, far beyond the initially promised timeline. This not only inconvenienced me but also disrupted other plans and became quite costly. Furthermore, the pricing structure provided by So Eco was opaque and seemed to constantly fluctuate throughout the project. It felt like they were constantly trying to squeeze more money out of me, which left a sour taste in my mouth.

Overall, my experience with So Eco was thoroughly disappointing. The work has yet to be complete, and from their poor communication and lackluster workmanship to their unreliable timeline and questionable pricing practices, I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to anyone.

Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a company that truly values its customers and delivers on its promises.
