Serious problems with battery supply and warranty replacements

Avoid at all costs. There seem to be serious problems with the company’s battery supply. We struggled to get our first set of batteries about four years ago, and now, with two out of three batteries needing to be replaced, the company has simply disappeared. I have been trying to contact them for over three months, but they completely ignore my emails and I cannot get any response.
I’m sure their customer service team will post a nice reply to this negative review, as they always do, but I would much rather they actually replied to my emails, provided an update, and gave me a clear timeframe for when my replacement batteries will be installed

Slow progress

Excellent support and service

I had my solar system and batteries fitted over 2 years ago by SolarFast, which was done quickly and efficiently in one day.
Fast forward 22 months and the app settings had a mind of their own, with any changes made forgotten within 10 minutes. A timely visit from Tyson to replace the storage batteries did not fully cure the problem. However a further visit from Tyson to replace the Inverter cured all issues.
Here at 6 months after the last call-out, the App lost communication with the inverter, in that no real time data was available. A quick call to the Technical Support Team and a short discussion resulted in an email on how to reconnect the Dongle to the App. Clear instructions and a promised call in 3 days to confirm the system was performing correctly closed the Job.
The Technical Support Team and Engineer on the ground have always be first class in their support, knowledge and skills. Response to issues has always been positive and timely.
Excellent service.

The fitters (Johnny and Neil) were…

The fitters (Johnny and Neil) were excellent. turned up on time, Really friendly, efficient, got the battery installed in no time at all. Absolutely perfect. This was an addition of a second battery to an existing solar install I had a year ago.

I just wish the company’s organisation and communication were as good. Sadly not.

Really clear and helpful

Really clear and helpful meeting to discuss everything at the start, and very straightforward installation. We were also very glad to have the option of paying via credit for the solar panels to limit the upfront cost, One minor issue with emails not being received after setup, but a quick call to Scott got it sorted v quickly. No waiting on hold either!

fantastic experience, very helpful

first call I received I did not speak to anyone, as it cut off, I emailed straight back to say please call again, which he did in less than a minute. He was brilliant talked me through each query I had. Getting me back on to the maintenance - old setting page, as the updated version you can't set discharge. all sorted now. very happy. thank you

Our system stopped accepting battery…

Our system stopped accepting battery charging schedules back May and despite repeated requests to SolarFast the technical team have failed to find a solution that restores control.

To be fair they have tried a lot of things but can't seem to get to the bottom of the issue. Our inverter is a duracell 6k and the battery control settings page has disappeared off the dura-1 app so we can't
Set or adjust the battery charging and the Energy app also does not allow us to switch the battery charge system on or off as the instructions don't seem to communicate with the inverter.

Whilst this seems to suggest a duracell fault contact with them gets referred back to SolarFast and they have been unable to change the settings either.

It feels like we are having to fight just to get someone to sort this out.

This rubbish customer service and makes me think poorly of both companies.

My advice is don't use Wickes/Solarfast or Duracell systems.

Rather disgruntled customer.
