I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnoea and mouth guard recommended. I've worn it religiously for 2.5 months and don't feel any different during the day nor has my sleep improved. I snore less so I assume it has made a difference for $2.2k. I must complete the SA test again to understand definitively what if any change has made!

My main reason for getting the Somno Med device was to reduce my snoring. I don't feel it has helped me sleep better however my wife has been able to sleep without me keeping her awake. From that perspective it's been wonderful and am delighted with the result.

My experience with ResMed and a tongue prosthesis was disappointing. My problem was airway obstruction when my tongue fell back onto my airway when I relaxed in sleep. The Somnomed gave immediate relief because it stopped my jaw from slipping backward to allow a clear airway and restful sleep.

It hurts my mouth & teeth, a lot of pressure on my teeth. I have trouble brushing my teeth & eating in the mornings because of the pain in my mouth.
Also have trouble getting the guard into my mouth. My dentist cut down part of the ends to get it to fit in my mouth.

My device has done everything we were told it would by both our normal dentist and the specialist dentist who fitted the device. This has enabled my wife and I to sleep in the same bed and have just returned from 5 weeks overseas and it was perfect.\

Since I started wearing my mouth guard my snoring and sleeping have improved.

Extremely well fitted, causes me no discomfort at night and I sleep soundly with it. My snoring has reduced drastically.

I still feel tired and I find there is to much movement.

The device does not work well. The bands seem to work for a week or two and then the snoring return. I have moved the device 4mm. The bands stretch over a short period of time. I was told a year ago the bands were getting a metal band to stop this problem and it still hasn’t happened. I would not recommend this product.

Around 12 months ago I had an operation to address prostate issues. My anesthetist recommended that I see an ENT specialist to check out mouth breathing and excessive snoring. That resulted in having a deviated septum straightened and a sleep study undertaken. Sleep apnea was confirmed and the ENT surgeon recommended that I should have a mandible splint fitted. It took a month for me to reach the right lower jaw extension and for any snoring to cease. My sleep pattern seems to be changing slower than I expected. By the time of my next sleep study in March 2025, I expect things to be sorted.

I am a dental professional and this company has terrible customer support!! Irresponsible and not dependable!! No one answers the phone and if I have an issue, I get the run around and no one is held accountable.!! I would not recommend this company.

You are 100% right I don’t feel comfortable doing video reviews,
The first time I saw the SomnoMed anti snoring device at my dentist I was intrigued at how it would work, I have a CPAP machine which was expensive to buy and from the start I was very uncomfortable using the machine every night and the mask or nasal probes would end up on the floor.
After talking to my dentist she asked me for my results from the sleep study to see if I was a candidate for the SomnoMed device, she agreed that the device may be a benefit for me instead of the CPAP machine.
So she scanned my mouth and teeth and ordered my new SomnoMed device, a fairly expensive device but one I was prepared to give a go for my long suffering wife who put up with my snoring for years,
I have had my SomnoMed device for over 6 months and it is nothing like the CPAP machine and stays in my mouth until I wake up, my wife has told me that she has not heard me snore since I started using the device.
I am so pleased with the device that I have told all my friends about it,
My dentist makes appointments for me to assess if I need to change the band to a smaller one to keep my device doing its job.
The device is so easy to clean and not a problem to put in or take out and becomes more comfortable every time you wear it.
As the old saying goes happy wife happy life.
I would like to thank my dentist at Smiles HQ (Natalia).
Thank you.

My device was made incorrectly; the brackets for adjusting it are misaligned and the company refuses to talk to me about it. They referred me to my dentist who is treating me like I am crazy because i want a $3500 device remade that was made incorrectly. I dont want a refund i just want a new one. She is treating me like a child and the company does not give a damn.
Update to this. I sent an email to the email address listed in the response so I guess we’ll see if they care or not.
Second update July 4, 2024. This company notified my dentist that I had left a review about them and they felt that they were treated unfairly. I don’t know what they said to her but she asked me to remove the review because it wasn’t fair to the company. She keeps insisting that the device is not made incorrectly but she told me during our last visit “they made it wrong, I don’t know why they made it wrong, we will just have to work with it“. Beware if you get a device that’s not made correctly you will not get any of your money back. Also they make you sign a contract upfront that says You will pay $3500 if they file your insurance and they reject the claim, but if they don’t file your insurance you will pay significantly less(Like more than 50% less; Is that legal? ). They do this because they think that Insurance is not Going to pay a penny, And apparently it cost that much money for them to file the claim? The entire time the dentist acted as if insurance was not gonna pay anything. Every time I asked about my insurance it was like they were rolling their eyes because they were convinced that insurance wasn’t going to pay anything. I had to continuously remind them to update the claim and send all of the information to the company. The insurance company did pay, a lot. I really want to go to a different dentist to get a new one of these, maybe even a different brand but Now I Can’t go to another dentist to get a new one, Because they’ve already paid this one. At this point I can’t go back to this ental Office because it makes me too nervous to even think about it.

I sent a message through the corporate messaging space on their website regarding some questions I had about their Avant dental device. The message was sent on 5/3/24 and I received an automated email response that someone would be contacting me in the next few days. It's now been 3 weeks (5/23) and no one contacted me. I can't recommend this company and will ask my dentist about other options. If they can't respond to a simple product question, I'd hate to see how they handle warranty claims.
Updated per SomnoMed 7/20/24 response:
My SomnoMed referred dentist (in Lake Forest, CA) told me he "was not aware" of the Avant model and couldn't tell me anything about it. This is why I inquired. Why would you send out a response that someone would contact me within the next few days and then never reply? Your only response comes after I posted a negative review on Trustpilot. I have already gotten another device from my own dentist. Sorry, but I can't recommend a company that doesn't care enough about a customer (or potential customer) to reply to a question about their product!

They don’t answer the phone and they don’t return messages. We’ve been trying for weeks to reach anyone. We are going through our medical Kaiser and they won’t even return calls for Kaiser staff.

I had to use a CPAP machine as I have sleep apnoea. When I changed my dentist I found one by sheer chance who was qualified to make those special devices. Life changed. SomnoMed is easy to use at home and also very good when travelling.
For some people price could be difficult and where would I find a suitably trained dentist. Most are not.
