Gretsch 6120 Hot Rod Lime Gold
A nice guitar, it wasn't set up at all and had a motley collection of strings on and the bridge had become dislodged in transit, but it was a good price so leave it there.
I have set the guitar up properly and fitted new strings and all is ok with it, but this isn't really good enough when you pay nearly 2K for a guitar. It now plays like it should or should have when received.
(This situation seems to be the norm these days, I purchased a guitar off another high street seller recently and it wasn't set up either. They managed to put it in the wrong case too.)
Fortunately I have 40 years of experience in doing setting up work on guitars so I am able to do this sort of repair but this sort of thing should not be happening at this level.
DPD were supposed to hand over the parcel to a person and photograph it in an open house doorway, but the parcel was left outside next to the gate inside the property, they have a 'we can't leave your parcel' instruction - well they did just that and the driver signed for it themselves.
At least I saw it and brought it in before it was nicked or got wet, as it was starting to rain.
The seller was nice to deal with otherwise and included Saturday delivery without charge.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We have a tech on site and would have happily setup the guitar with your choice of strings before dispatch.
This can delay the dispatch by a day or two however.
All of our guitars are checked over by our tech on arrival, maintained whilst on the shop floor and given a once over before dispatch. If the strings were a little dull we should have included a new set in the case. Happy to send some out if you make contact and let us know what you want.
We detune all guitars when shipping to relieve tension. Sounds as though the bridge moved during transit.
Thank you for the evidence provided in regards to DPD.
They should never leave a parcel without handing it over to a customer. We have a complaint open with them.

Bought a previously-owned BOSS Volume pedal. It was exactly as described, in excellent condition and came in the original box - "He has the box!".
I ordered in the evening and it was posted out the next day and arrived quickly.

Used Harmonious Monk pedal
Used boutique pedal in box sent in plastic envelope. No outer box or packing material. Condition of pedal finish was not as good as advertised. Pedal functions as expected. Had similar disappointing packaging with a new Strymon pedal from same retailer previously.
