I am very sorry to hear that you are not happy with you purchase of RoadBlockR.
Our records show you called on 11.22.22 called and spoke with Ryan Y. for roughly 10 minutes, we believe it was regarding the uses below, since your order was purchased online via our shopping cart, we have no notes linked.
Ryan Y and I discussed your call, he stated that you had a vent issue, more specifically a popping noise in the vent that you were trying to eliminate. Silent Running is typically suggested for vents under certain scenarios. you told him you could only access the interior of the vent but still wanted to eliminate the popping noise. If the entire appropriate area (meaning the source of the noise) is not completely treated leaving no unexposed areas, then the application will not be successful. Ryan and I discussed that when metal heats and cools, it expands and contracts, which can cause that "popping" noise. If the affected area is not completed treated so that the dampening product, in this case the RoadBlockR, will strengthen the metal to reduce the expanding / contracting, hence stopping that popping noise in that area. However, even if that area treated is successful, the problem may then move to another area, as Ryan discussed with you. If that is the case, then spot treating another area would have to be done.
Therefore, treating the outside of the entire vent is the most recommended.
We would be happy to discuss this with you further and see if we can better the noise issue, we never make guarantees, but we would be happy to try to try helping you with this continued issue by discussing further.

It is thick and very heavy
It is thick and very heavy. I use it over my Ruff Tuff crate to muffle the barking from my dog during 7 to 9 am in the morning. I also use a ryobi fan to keep my dog cool in the crate. To hang on a wall requires long nails to hold in place. I am very happy with it.

#36 Drill bit??!!?
Updated... It is all fine, I was able to attach it using my own screws l, just very frustrating in the moment

They sent a fixture with screws that need a #36 drill bit. Who the hell has one of those? Why on Earth would they not use a more standard size? Needless to say, the installation into my metal door frame is going haltingly since home depot does not have this drill bit. I expect I will need to find different size screws.

We would also like to apologize for delaying your installation and any confusion caused by the Instructions. A drill bit up to 28 or 9/64” can be used to start the pilot hole for the TEK screws provided. The 36 bit specified in the Instructions was suggested by manufacturing, but we have had Installers use various size bits to drill the pilot holes in the field. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

We bought the soundproofing batting to dampen the high pitched noise of our new fridge. It worked like a charm and we are ver pleased. The only problem was in the shipping as a glitch charged us $405 for shipping when it should only have been $85 which is on the invoice. I look forward to a refund.

When purchasing online there are only two options for shipping, UPS and Fed Ex, however, we can try to find other options for lower rates, while online is limited to what the Fed Ex and UPS software will display. We always encourage customers to call or reach out with any questions, concerns or issues. I show you made your online purchase on 10/4/22 at 11:57 am, you were charged a product total of $179.96, shipping via your chosen carrier of UPS Ground, UPS calculated based off weight (16lbs) and product dimensions (1" x4' x 4') and being delivered to residential, which is always higher cost than delivering to a business, that the shipping charge was $194.52. Your original total order charge for product, shipping and NY state sales tax was $405.84. The four foot square product immediately sent you into an oversized package category which also has additional fees charged by UPS. You called and spoke with Ryan on our sales team regarding the shipping cost. It looks as if Ryan was able to ship your package with Fed Ex for a significantly lower rate of $84.00, due Fed Ex charging much less is fees. The difference of $110.52 being refunded to you, bringing your new total for product, NY state tax and shipping to $295.32.
I will be sending you the receipt for the original online transaction, the updated sales order, invoice and the refund receipt (which posted on 10.7.22) to your email address on file, please review and let me know if you have any questions.

Measure Your Product!
The product's material is great; Really fantastic quality. 5 stars on that. However, the actual length of the amount I purchased was incorrect!! The site states Quiet Batt 30 comes in 24 inches on center and "covers 48 sqft." meaning I'd get three, 2ft x 8ft, sheets.
Instead, I got something like 2ft x ~7.6ft in each sheet and didn't cover my entire project! I was short ~5-6 inches on every sheet. Add that up, and I'm missing over a foot of insulation, which completely threw off my measurements, costing me more money to repair, and restructure.
Could be a warehouse issue. I don't know. But someone is selling people short to save some dough. I get that times are hard, but at least update the site to reflect what you actually get.

Where you are located is a 1 to 2 day max ship and we could have easily rectified this situation so that your project could have been successfully completed, however, you did not so we were not able to find out how this could have happened to ensure it does not happen again and for us to make it right.
We pride ourselves in our customer service, communication and honesty in all that we do, this was NOT intentional. The dimensions that are listed are true and actual within any listed tolerance (if there is one).
We are truly saddened that you did not allow us to investigate and correct this issue.

The product details could use some polish
The soundproofcow website was fairly well designed and easy to use. The main problem I saw was that the product did not have clear descriptions or detailed enough descriptions and could use more info. Also a better video for installation of the product would really help customers and potential customers. The quantity too for the pipe wrap product was very confusing - 1 roll, or 1 box with 3 rolls needs to be clearly explained. Then I received 1 box with 6 rolls in it! Unit of measure should be consistent.
