Overall, we had a good experience with South East Solar & Electrical and would be happy to recommend them.
The pre-sales team were very helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. Everything was organised smoothly, and they promptly arranged an installation date. The installation itself was also excellent – the installers clearly knew what they were doing, were professional, and we were very happy with the finished installation. There was a small issue with the scaffolding being taken down, but that wasn't South East Solar's fault.
The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is mainly down to the aftercare. It took over two weeks for us to receive all of the paperwork, which was a little frustrating. We also unfortunately had a fault with the solar system, which meant we had no solar generation for around a month. Once someone responded and the issue was looked into, it was fixed quickly, but it was disappointing to miss out on essentially the whole of a very sunny July.
Overall though, our experience was positive. The sales process and installation were both very good, and the main issues were the paperwork and the time it took to respond to the fault, rather than the quality of the installation itself.

We’re sorry to hear that you found the aftercare frustrating, particularly with the issue you experienced with the system. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to miss out on solar generation during such a sunny period. We’re pleased that once the issue was identified, it was resolved quickly, although we appreciate that the initial response time was longer than you would have liked.
In relation to the paperwork, we do advise customers that the full handover pack is provided approximately two weeks after final payment. There is a fair amount of information that needs to be collated following installation, along with the application and processing of the necessary certificates, warranties and other documentation, we do aim to get this done as quickly as possible.
That said, we appreciate your feedback regarding communication and response times, and we’re continually looking at ways to improve our aftercare process and ensure customers receive the support they need as quickly as possible.

Solar battery installation
We had a solar battery installed by South East Solar through the Switch Together scheme. Very happy with the service we received - good price, good communications by email and phone, and a neat and efficient installation by Brad.

A professional installation
The installation was carried out in a very professional manner. Care was taken in positioning the various components associated with the batteries and the wiring was neatly laid out.
An initial problem with a circuit breaker was quickly rectified.
All in All a very satisfactory experience.

The whole experience has been really stress free. They answer the phone promptly, are friendly and professional. The survey was efficiently done. A scaffolding company was booked and chased up so it was completed in time. The guys who turned up today to install the solar dealt with rain and thunder with no worries. They were brilliant. Would highly recommend.

The process was made exceptionally easy by the company. There were dates that were upheld and if there was any or additional instructions they were answered promptly from a position of expertise and knowledge. The after-care has been superb and every single query all question has been answered within 24 hours. Exceptional customer service by the account handler Stephanie Bardsley.

My SESE experience during the survey, install and commissioning of my solar and battery system has been excellent. Clear communications with them at all times. Everything done on time with minimal effort from my side. Installers were very friendly and guided me along the way of what they was doing and give me lots of opportunity to ask questions. There is always concern when spending a fair amount of money, but dealing with South East Solar could not have been better. From start to finish they have made the process clear at every stage. No upfront payment is always a good sign. From the initial quote, through the detailed survey to the final installation, there were no issues and the system appears to be working as expected.

Recently had solar panel, inverter, batteries and EV point installed. Communications before and after were very efficient. Survey guy was thorough and helpful. The install guys were great, got the job done in less than a day, explained everything, helped activate the monitoring App and everything has been fine since. Couldn't fault it. Took a while to get the final handover pack with the paperwork etc but I guess that's normal.

Everything went smoothly
Everything went smoothly, the quote was quick and adjustments to explore other possibilities were provided promptly. The installation of the system was great, the electrician especially did a great job and explained what they were doing throughout the process and handed-over well. Only slight downside was the scaffolding was installed over where the batteries were going which made the installation more tricky. The system has been working as expected for 3 months now.

The process was reasonably simple and always kept informed on the progress. Do your homework before so you know what you want and go for. The only real pain and not something that is under the control of the PV supplier, thats getting the system linked on to the grid. Be prepared to wait a while................

I thoroughly enjoyed communicating with Billie-Jane to pull together a number of different options for solar and battery storage at my residential property. She was quick to respond, open and honest, and I know she was going to get the best price for me. In the end, I did end up going with another local installer, however the experience was just so positive, I had to leave a review!

Neat, efficient, helpful and quick
The whole process from the beginning was an example of great customer service. Jade was very helpful, very prompt with replies and very patient as we kept changing our minds!
The installation process occurred exactly as set out in the proposal: scaffolders came 2 days before and did a good job. Electrician (Nick) and panel installers all arrived together on the day and work was finished in 5 hours.
Nick was very helpful in explaining the installation (very neat work!) and helped install the app and explain it. Ronnie and crew were great installing the panels and explained anything we needed.

Fantastic service, quick and fair. Brad the electrician was really nice and explained everything well, his work is neat and clean and he came back the next day to finish off an tidy up as it was a complex job.
