EXCELLENCE AT SOUTHFACE
I arrived 30 minutes later than my appointment time (the train was late!), but I was warmly welcomed at Reception, and was seen almost straight away by Dr Julia Martin.
Dr Martin quickly assessed my skin condition and explained clearly her suggestion for a procedure to rectify this long-standing problem.
Excellent!
On the appointed day, the procedure was carried out by Dr Lilliana Luna. After explaining the procedure and likely outcome, she got to work on the problem area on my face. A certain amount of mild discomfort during the administration of the local anaesthic, the operation proceeded according to plan and I was able to relax, with confidence.
I could not have asked for more care and consideration, Thank you Dr Luna - and everyone at Southface.

Have been visiting Nurse Amanda for some years for IPL/Laser for damage caused by rosacea, burst vessels etc.
Cannot recommend Amanda enough. Really thorough and she is ultra careful for people like me with reactive skin.
Very pleased with results, excellent care.
Dr Robertshaw has been hugely helpful when visiting with various derm issues.

Excellent clinic with first class staff
Although I went to the clinic for a general skin check up and suggestions on what could be done to freshen up my appearance, the Consultant was quick to spot I had a Basel Cell Carcinoma and I was booked in to have it removed with a few days.
The Consultant I saw (Dr Helen Robertshaw) is professional, at the top of her field but very personable and you feel completely confident in her knowledge.
I can’t thank the Clinic enough and will be back for that “freshen up” advice.

Great friendly team from Reception to treatment.
Recommended by a friend. Called in a week ago to book a full body skin check. Having had skin cancer 10 years ago I wasn't overly impressed with a check I had at my surgery. Appointment for Monday. Saw Dr Luna. After a thorough check and discussion the freeze method was used to clear some annoying tags etc. Dr Luna was friendly and profesional throughout, clear explanations were great.
She also referred me for a second appointment with Dr Julia Martin which was made for the following day. This was to remove a wart like lesion from my face. Dr Martin was assisted by a nurse, sorry forgotten her name. Again discussion and explanation on procedure was clear and easily understood. Using local anesthetic the proceedure was carried out with no pain. The nurse dressed the site and explained about the dressing. Do's & don'ts.
If you are at all worried about any mole or mark, or bothered with skin tags visit the team at Southface Dermatology.

Excellent responsiveness. I contacted Southface Dermatology for cryotherapy on some moles and they fitted me in really quickly. In a 20-minute appointment, so much got done and I look forward to going back to finish things off in April.

I was impressed the moment I walked through the door & spoke to the smiley Receptionist. I then saw Dr Andrew Hodder, whom I found to b very easy to explain the reason I decided to seek professional help. Dr Hodder did what he had to do to achieve a diagnosis, he was both friendly & professional & explained everything which I fully understood. I couldn’t recommend the whole experience any higher. I left the Clinic feeling totally reassured. EXCELLENT !!!

Going to Southface was an experience that seems almost impossible to receive at my local GP.
I asked for an appointment and got one that fitted my work schedule immediately,so much easier than GP.
Whilst being seen I felt that I was the only person in the world that mattered at that precise moment, my worries were quickly laid to rest with a swift diagnosis and treated on the spot.
Any skin worries I have in the future Southface will be receiving a call.

What a fantastic find!
What a fantastic find! From the booking experience with the lovely lady on reception to my appointment with the dermatologist I had a fantastic experience. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and put you at your ease. The price was exceptionally reasonable. My sister is a private secretary for a dermatologist in Dorset and couldn’t believe the competitive pricing! Overall a fantastic experience and will definitely use Southface if needed in the future.

I was skeptical to go and see a…
I was skeptical to go and see a dermatologist after a past experience years ago where i felt totally dismissed by the consultant, paid huge sum of money for it and my skin got worse.
This time after trying many holistic ways I decided to go to Southface clinic after long research to find the best doctor, and everyone experience was so positive.
I was so desperate as my skin was getting worse and worse with rosacea, i called the reception and felt instantly welcomed and got a speedy appointment the next day with Dr Julia Martin. When i went to my appointment everyone was so welcoming, nice, the place was so fresh and clean. I felt at ease.
The appointment with Dr Julia Martin was fantastic. She made me feel seen, heard and took time to listen to my needs and recommended me products to use that would help.
She took time to educate me on what was happening with my skin and i felt relieved to finally have a clear diagnostic. Now one week after the consultation my skin has improved so much, it’s clearing and the huge red pustules on my chin, cheeks are almost gone.
I’m so grateful for Dr Julia guidance and kindness and attention to details. I feel so much more confident to go out now and feel better in my skin.
Booking the consultation was a big expense, but totally worth it.
