suggest corrupt rules to suit on fine line
put in a claim which was dealt with by a consultant but you still refused to pay had to go to a doctor to get a refer or start point to get an appointment but at the end of the treatment is was a consultant who dealt with the medical issues and paid for by me, you expect me to go to private hospital see a consultant and pay then again pay for treatment, when at hospital i saw a consultant first time just beacause my doctor gave me the contact seem a bit of a cop out

After reviewing the claim, we can see that the referring practitioner listed is registered as a GP. When you contacted our office, we advised that if you could provide further details of the consultant you saw as part of your appointment, we would be happy to reassess your claim. However, we haven't yet received this information.
Under the consultation benefit, claims are payable when you are seen by a specialist hospital consultant registered with the General Medical Council. Once we receive the consultant's details, we'll be happy to review your claim again.
Full details of what is and isn't covered under your policy can be found in your policy terms and conditions, which are available in the online customer area.

Rejected claim
Never had a problem when claiming before but this time my claim was rejected because the receipt I sent was produced by a till. I use Costco opticians and the only receipt they give is a till roll. It had all the information required by Sovereign but it was still rejected. The issue was resolved after a phone call to Sovereign but it's a shame that I had to do this. Just wonder what will happen with future claims?

Always a reliable service
Always a reliable service from this local company. I’ve been a member for over 30 years and feel myself and my family are well protected . Suggest even better if …. 1) the on line claim form allowed customers to enter free text rather than follow up with an e mail. Sometimes the e mail info is not available to the claims handler which can result in time consuming double handling and 2) appointments for X Rays and treatment in Fracture Clinics (eg casts) are included in the Day Hospital provision.

The website was easy to access and use. My claims were dealt with very quickly and effectively. Initially i received an email to confirm my claims had been received and would be accessed. This was done very quickly and in no time the money i was due was paid into my bank. I also received an email informing me of the payment. Very impressed with the whole process
