Complete trash as a spam filter

Complete trash as a spam filter. My ISP switched to SpamExperts a year ago and it's been nothing but trouble. Its user interface is totally opaque to anyone who hasn't taken advanced computer programming courses. It doesn't block even the most blatantly pornographic spam coming into my business account. I have to keep manually adding (obvious sexual) words to block from the messages and querying my ISP's techs to set the blocking levels because it apparently takes a computer science degree to get the stupid system to do anything. Totally worthless.

Worst support ever..

Worst support ever... We are having an issue that should be resolved within a few days.. The ticket was opened on 07.11.2022 and until today the issue is not resolved. The last answer from them was one month ago... and this is paid service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Worst customer service and Cheaters - Spamexperts Review - Solarwinds

Worst customer service and Cheaters in their billing. Always check your invoice every month and compare number of domains incoming and outgoing in the portal and the invoice. Used to be a nice company before it got sold out. They reply to the complaint for this billing issue after a month gap that too without resolution. If you are existing customers then start transferring your services somewhere else, new customers, don't even bother.

This service is absolute rubbish

This service is absolute rubbish. My ISP used Spam Assassin previously and it worked really well. Without my knowledge they switched to Spam Experts. We noticed some issues with lost emails. The last straw was when it decided internal mail between 2 of our group companies were blocked as SPAM and reported to a SPAM server. We asked why - because the email was re-sent... err yep, that's what you do when someone in your organisation doesn't receive an email. We then checked the logs and found numerous examples of legitimate emails being blocked. Completely useless software/service.

SpamExperts used to be good... Now they are the worst of the worst!

SpamExperts used to be good... Now they are the worst of the worst! [avoid at all costs]

Before SpamExperts got owned by #SolarWinds MSP (end of 2017) everything was pretty good/decent. However after SolarWinds MSP acquired SpamExperts everything went downhill pretty fast and all the horror started!

To be quite honest; everything we experienced in the past +/- 2 years with SpamExperts is way, way to much to post here, but just a few examples.

SpamExperts promised to migrate our two servers as OpenVZ will not be supported anymore. This would be free of charge and wouldn't be any a lot of work.

However after 6 months nothing was migrated at all! After we started creating several support tickets at the same time, finally someone decided to take action. Result? Both servers' setup completely damaged. Our technician needed to re-setup both servers again with Debian.

Then it took (almost) another month before any action was taken by SpamExperts.

When action was finally taken. All servers (the two old ones and the two new ones) went completely down, because #SpamExperts technician's completely misconfigured the network connections (they created a venet or virtual network). As a result both servers were not accessable at all anymore from the outside.

So we had to send a technician to the datacenter to fix these issues. In the meantime a colleague was in contact with this SpamExperts technician (Andrei R.). We explained the issue and that everything was down. And what did this technian say? He laughed (seriously?) and said he was going home....

This is how SpamExperts treats long-standing customer, who have been with them for many, many years. Apparently it's Solarwinds MSP new business approach after taking over SpamExperts.

Also the superiors / management (Ilona R.) at SpamExperts (or SolarWinds) don't care about the situation at all. They only make even more false promises and tell more lies. Nothing has been resolved, nothing has been fixed and we have only more and more issues each time. Support tickets take (sometimes) hours to be answered. Support after hours is almost non-existent.

Avoid #SpamExperts (by #SolarWinds MSP) at all costs! It will ruin your company. Seriously. I would advice to look into alternatives as SpamExperts will ruin your company completely.

Currently we have over 400 support tickets from our customers who are all asking why the spam solution, for which they paid, is not working. And what does SpamExperts do? Nothing, nada, zilch. They simply do not care. Probably they are laughing right now, like their technician (Andrei) did yesterday.

So in short; we setup the new servers 6+ months ago and in the meantime nothing happened. Finally SpamExperts thought they should do something after they received several support tickets at once. As a result they broke the Debian (both) server configurations. They didn't even inform us, but after several new tickets they said the servers should be re-setup *again* by us.

So we did ofcourse (we needed to, it was not like we had a choice). So the both server configurations were re-installed from scratch again. Then it took several weeks once again, before action was taken by SpamExperts.

So when they finally took action and migrated all content from the old servers to the new servers, they changed the network configurations, however instead of doing it correctly, they broke the configuration again (we took screenshots of the incompetence ofcourse, as we did with all the support tickets we submitted for legal actions).

We hired a third party technician to fix the issues with the network configurations. He also stated clearly that SpamExperts completely "goofed" up the configuration. Now the front-end doesn't work at all anymore. I doubt it will ever be fixed, or by the time they "fix" it, we will not have any customers left anymore.

My recommendation?
Avoid, avoid, AVOID SpamExperts (SolarWinds) at any costs if you really value you business and your clients.
