Ping 800 - 1500. Horrible wifi very inconsistent I got 10000 ping on a game once not even exaggerating as this wifi averages 300 - 600 ping but I normally get 800 - 1500 as it is horrible for games

Spark Bayfair in Mount…
Went to Spark Bayfair in Mount Maunganui. Was served by Ronan. He did an excellent job of finding the best plan for our needs, explaining it to us, offering the latest deals and getting data transferred from mybold phone to the new one within the time he said he would. Ronan obviously had indepth knowledge on everything they had to offer and I feel confident the other staff would be just as good.

I recently had an upsetting experience with a customer service representative who used inappropriate language in different languages during our conversation. The fillipino girl said swear word,as my girlfriend is Filipino too, she understood everything, which was unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected. I had expected a helpful and respectful interaction but instead encountered rude behavior that seemed to dismiss my concerns.
Customer service should prioritize respectful communication and support, and this incident shows a need for better training in professionalism and etiquette. I hope the company addresses this matter to ensure future interactions are positive and respectful for all customers.

I changed from One to Spark thinking I will get service. I have been totally disappointed. I pay monthly bill of $280 but can’t get any tech support from them.
So difficult to get hold of a human being who can help. From the time I got my connection, the lan is not working for my living room Tv. Whenever I message them I get stereotyped answers which are of no help whatsoever .if I call I ll be put on hold for more than 15 mins only to be told they can’t help.

Increase your fees without any notification, and when you bring the issue up with their team, it will just be an endless ball kicking game. Word of advice: if you ever encounter problems with Spark, don't bother using the spark support, just use TDR, file a report and Spark will reach out to you

Horrible reception, slow data or none at all and I am in a good area.
Their app is poorly designed and full of flaws,requested a password change as it wouldnt recognize my password (google stored) , sent me an email, changed password.entered new password then wouldnt recognize my email address which it just sent me reset code to.
Cant talk to a real person easily, finally navigated to a contact number page then 53 minutes onhold.
Just bad all round.

Terrible customer service!
Terrible customer service and communication, probably the worst that I have experienced and that’s saying something. If you have an issue, good luck, you will end up speaking to someone in a far away call centre that has no idea and can’t help you. Purchased a new phone, paid the deposit and heard nothing. When I mentioned that I had been told that my order had been prioritised the week prior, I was told that is what they tell all customers, great job. Still waiting for my phone after two weeks and customer services can’t help, appalling.

I purchased a new phone via online and an email confirming the order was received.....then nothing. I contacted Spark via the WhatsApp chat service and was told that the order was on hold until I paid the $99 deposit! At no time did Spark contact me to arrange this. I did pay the deposit and then again.....no communication. I had been told that I would be sent the tracking details but that did not happen. The phone did arrive safely but the process of getting it was ridiculously slow for a communications company.

Got fibre installed after being with spark for 10 years, got told the modem would be 5 bucks then had to pay $165.00 for it.

They took payment from me and it wasn't used to pay for my plan. Then the customer service was disgusting, asking me for my credit card details to be sent to his email. Tried to say I hadn't paid even after I provided bank statement. My bank is now thankfully investigating. Go 2degrees, you don't get scammed with them.
Barely adequate but expensive service
Barely adequate but expensive service. I recently transferred to another service who was offering the same price for like 4x as much internet data in the package.
Organized the transfer of service and was then told that they required a 28 day (their billing period) end of service extra charge on my bill. with the phone number already transferred to another service, and that month not started, so I can pay for a completely unused service.

Quite possibly the worst company in New Zealand to deal with! They increase their prices all the time and don't even bother trying to communicate with them - you have to do everything via the app chat option and even when you get through to them on the chat they either don't respond or don't bother actioning your request. Cancelled our broadband with them in July 2024 and am still receiving monthly invoices. This is just incompetence!!! I refuse to pay the bills but missing a bill will effect my credit rating so just stay away from Spark - they are HOPELESSS!!!!!!

Unprofessional, internet cuts out randomly, applied for an account credit refund when I switched to one nz from spark like 3 months ago and they are still holding the money hostage.
Please stay away from this stupid f****** provider. (One nz is cheaper and has the workers actually care about what your issue is and get back to you)
Brought a tablet on a fixed term…
Brought a tablet on a fixed term contract. Added a data only plan to it (not part of the fixed term contract) which I was told in store I could cancel at any time. Now I'm being told I can't cancel the data plan. Spark and One have both gone to the dogs. Wait at least one hour to speak to someone in another country with terrible customer service where you can hardly understand each other.

All of the phone company’s in nz are trash but spark and one are next level bad, you get a voicemail they tell you to top up to listen to it and then after you top up you still have insufficient funds to make the call lol. You can’t talk to anyone real all phone numbers other than to a store are robots that just tell you to top up pretty much. Worst company to go with other than one
