No billing document

It works fine for our needs. But I never received a billing document. Not receiving a billing document seems very unprofessionel, and the fact that there is no customer service/mail/number to contact is weird. So, here I am on Trustpilot to ask Speechelo to send me a billing document - can you please do that?

Warning!!

Update 2022-12-05 : it's been 7 days and 5 banking days and I still have not received my refund yet. I wrote to them but they still haven't replied yet.

Warning!!! Do not purchase any of their products. I went ahead and wanted to try out Speechelo since there was a 47 dollar discount. I filled in the details on my credit card and got overwhelmed with several popups and videos offering me the pro version. I look at it but decided to decline the offer on the pro version. During checkout I noticed that they went ahead and charged me for both versions so I checked my bank account and it was true. They went ahead and stole money without my consent.Not only that, after the purchase I found out that it was a subscription which was not stated anywhere before the purchase was made- I tried to contact customer service and the link was broken, after several attempts i got hold of "clickbanks" Chat support and got help from "Lourdes". I explained the whole deal and wanted a full refund. I was offered to try the package and get a partial refund but I got even more annoyed after being scammed twice so I asked for a full refund. "Lourdes" said that she was gonna process the refunds and I truly hope that I will get it in full the following days to come... A very poor and desperate sale tactic that just ticked me off... Oh almost forgot. " Lourdes" added the text saying:"The cumstomer can't afford the products and wants a refund" Way to go to not tell it the way it is!! So aggrevating....

Beta software for full price // No response from support

1/10 user experience. To get to the actual software you paid for ($US53) you have to navigate numerous upsells and promotions. I bought the standard package (which I was not able to preview beforehand) and was surprised to find out there's only one female voice... and that voice is unusable. It sounds like a robot. The other male voice samples are a little better. You get only 4 voices to choose from. Yet the company boasts that there are 72!! I have contacted support twice and have yet to hear back. Buyer beware, this is one shady company. PRO TIP- spend your money on Synthesia.. it is a far more legitimate product.

WARNING - Subscription needed to make it useful

Sold as a one time purchase on massive discount for full access. Upsell to pro to make it useful is actually a subscription. Even if you spot this on the page it is too late as you have already bought a product that wont do what you want. The product works ok but the sales model is misleading and unethical. I have asked them to modify it to make it clearer and look forward to their response.

Positive experience.

Positive experience.
I use the software only in Italian and I must say that the result is very performing. Its use is very interesting and intuitive, easy and above all the results and the realism of the voice are truly exceptional. Great for online presentations, reading audio books or when needing to speak over images or videos. To be recommended absolutely.

BEWARE!

I did a "trial" and was charged multiple times. Read ALL the "fine print" & DON'T use a bank card!! I tried reaching the "company" multiple times with no success. Lost hundreds of $ until I threatened my bank. Great concept, but a #moneysuckingscam!

I am so impressed with speechelo

I am so impressed with speechelo. The voices are great and it’s easy to use. The app could use a little work and therefore the 4/5 stars. I had trouble downloading on to my machine a couple times.

Speechlo is the best TTS tool

Speechlo is the best TTS tool. But needs improvement. Some of the voices are awesome, You could not hear any trembling or some ticking sound when the voice character's speech, unlike other TTS tools. That is why I am impressed with this tool.

The developer is great, unless when you use the other voice character that is not yet developed.

But I know maybe in the future they will improve the other character so that to have a lot of different unique voices and characters that are perfectly performing like BILLY JOEL Character and other Pro characters that the voices are quite performing perfectly amazing.

In order for you to hear the voice perfectly performing, you need to add some punctuation marks according to the situation of the paragraph.

Always remember this friends.

Quality services or products will last longer and will give you a very outstanding dignity from the present and in the future to come.

Not worth even half the price!

They don't tell you about the Pro version that you need to pay extra for. The standard version is useless and pro version isn't much better. Very basic with a small selection of voices. You can't make many adjustments to the speed, tone or pronouncation. Murf.ai is far superior to this

Good product but terrible customer relationship management.

I was (past tense) quite impressed with Speechelo's product. It produced excellent renderings of the text I fed it and it did so with amazing speed.
But when I tried to upload the resulting MP3 file to my WordPress site, there was a problem. I reported the problem to them and they essentially blew me off. "Not our problem" was the essence of their reply.
Then I ran into another problem logging in. They use a Captcha with numbers to validate my email and password. Now I don't mind this to make sure they have validated my email and password, but when they do it every time I login, I have a problem. I am legally blind (Macular Degeneration) and cannot see long strings of number. I reported this to them and suggested an alternate means of validation (send me a email),and here was their complete reply: "Sorry but this is the best we can do at the moment".

So my bottom line is that they have a good product but they upsell to quickly (like before I have even logged in for the first time), AND their customer service sucks.

SUBSCRIPTION - NOT a One off PAYMENT!

I got Speechelo on impulse around Black Friday hoping that it was just a good BF offer.

first payent of $32.40 only one British English male and female voices, both only AI-enabled, which sounded nothing like the main AI guy from the ad. The American English voices, both male and female one sounded OK, it seemed more of them were available, too, but can't be sure.

I emailed S. for a refund got offered all the tea in China FOR LIFE if I paid them another $47 ( another cat in the bag what you getting then )

IMPORTANT they actually mentioned that what I paid was NOT A ONE-OFF PAYMENT which is what I believed on sign up, but that it actually was a recurring subscription, I checked and there it was, easy to cancel, they didn't have to mention it strictly speaking

I requested a chargeback via Paypal, and by reply and got it the same day.

Very oddly, their how-to tutorial, not a bad one, was voiced over in a thick East European accent, which seemed very strange indeed under the circumstances, I can only assume that the guy, perhaps the owner, just couldn't resist the sound of his own voice!

So not an outright scum probably, but lads of headache to get any value

Paid but no product was delivered. Refund still not acknowledged

BUYERS BEWARE

- I paid, yet the access wasn't delivered.
- You are forced to watch these "premiums" before moving on to the next. I don't even know if this is the norm.
- To this hour, I still have no access. It's been almost a day now. Just, wow.
- I already requested a refund, still waiting for a response. UPDATE: Luckily, I paid through Paypal. It appears, I might have a chance of a refund initiated by Paypal and not by this company.

I still have not gotten a refund, speechelo is disgusting

I still have not gotten a refund; the product was not delivered. I never agreed to buy a subscription, I simply want my money refunded for a product that was not delivered. I hate everything about the way speechelo does business. It is disgusting and not an honorable, above-board business.

They are a scam.

They are a scam, but as I paid with Paypal they gave me a full refund (as it's worst for them if I comply to Paypal).
You can't work with your paid product without CONSTANT ADS to upgrade. They misleadingly sell all the features for 27 usd, but in fact you get very limited options.
You need to buy 3 more products for all the features they promise.
This is not serious.

Was about to write a 5 star review

I sat down this morning to write a glowing 4/5 star review of Speechelo and the Pro upgrade that I recently purchased. I paid $27 for the basic app and was immediately presented with the "PRO" version upgrade option for $127. After playing around with the basic package for a day or two I realized it was not going to offer the voice options I needed for my videos. So I bought the Pro upgrade even though it seemed a bit expensive. So far I have been reasonably happy with the results. But, and there always seems to be a "But" in these stories, I was reading some reviews here and it seems that some versions of the Pro plan are only for three months.... What the heck? Was my Pro package a one-time purchase or a subscription for three months or perhaps one year? What did I buy with my hard earned money? So I tried to contact the good folks via their comments and help page. And here is my complaint with the system. I gave up after being re-directed to a couple of different places. They do not make it easy to get a simple answer to a simple question. Also my account page does not define what I actually have and for how long.

Most of the voices are not usable as they tend to sound very robotic but several are really quite good. They sound much better if you use lots of punctuations and spend a little time learning to help the AI. They also sound much better if laid down with a music backing track.

Thus far I do not have a complaint with the actual app but that's only two thirds of the package. Customer support is often critical for users and I found the process of asking for a simple answer about my purchase was not "User Friendly" even though I get lots of follow up stuff from the developers wanting to sell me more goodies. It's 3 stars for now. I'll upgrade if I ever get an answer to my question, did a get a one time "Pro" upgrade for my $127?

I purchased PRO to have more voices

I purchased PRO to have more voices, but portuguese voices from Portugal are only 4, three standard and 1 AI. Voices are not natural enough, specially if you have to pronnounce names it sounds fake and strange.
To read a ebook to voice, in order to listen, it gives you a limit of 20000 caracters is short to that purpose.

I am sorry that you find the character limit to be too short. However, this limit is in place because the voices are generated by a text-to-speech engine. The character limit is necessary to ensure that the voices are not cut off in the middle of a sentence. I hope you understand.

Sadly Speechelo is pretty much rubbish…

Sadly Speechelo is pretty much rubbish and I feel I've been scammed. I checked their emails and was shocked to see how I was spammed once or twice a day with so much hype making out it was such a fantastic product but the fact is when you get to use it, it isn't and it simply isn't worth the trouble. I paid by Paypal and will be applying for a refund. Better to pay someone on Fiverr to read it for you.
