Unacceptable racist behavior from staff – no response from company

On December 5th, 2025, my husband and I visited Spekestua’s stand at Bergen Storsenter. While I was browsing the products and my husband checked his phone, the female staff member suddenly asked us:
“Are you trying to hack money?”

We were completely shocked and confused. After leaving the stand, we realized how deeply inappropriate and offensive this comment was. When we returned to ask what she meant, instead of apologizing or explaining, she spoke arrogantly and dismissed us rudely, she reacted aggressively and told us to leave, threatening to call security if we stayed.

We have written directly to Spekestua but we received no response at all.

We were honest customers, there to shop. But we were treated with suspicion, hostility, and what felt like racist contempt, simply because we’re Asian.

The company’s silence speaks volumes. This is not just about one employee’s behavior, but about a company’s responsibility to respond when racism occurs under their name.
