Oily over roasted coffee that clogged up my grinder!
I ordered 1k of their signature blend coffee beans, when it arrived there was no roasted date, just a use by daet of 2027, this was a red flag for me. I contacted the roasters and was advised that it was fresh and they don't provide a roasted date! It took a. few iterations to get the grind right which was expected. However, on the fourth grind my DF64 coffee grinder completely blocked up. This has never happened to me before. These beans are highly roasted and very oily and smell like burnt wood. This is the worst coffee I've ever tasted or ground and I've no idea how old it was. I provided the batch date to the roaster and they couldn't confirm the roast date. I threw it away today and learnt a lesson, that you get what you pay for.

Disappointing customer service
I placed an order over 3 weeks ago with a 2-3 day delivery window. I’ve still not received any coffee. Nobody contacted me and I had to reach out to Spiller and Tait to ask what was going on. They told me the coffee I ordered was out of stock. They asked if I wanted a refund or any other coffee. I requested they send me what they have in stock; still nothing. Really disappointed. Cancelled a long-term subscription, as the service has been awful. Would not recommend.

Very old stale coffee
Spiller and Tait send very old stale coffee despite promising delivery within 7 days of roasting.
I ordered 5 bags of different coffee types but they were 2 months old and part of the order incorrect.
When the company sent the correct order, the roast date was 6 months ago.
If one batch was old I could write it off as a mistake but 9 different types of coffee with roast dates between 2 and six months ago.
All orders were from the official company website.
To be fair, they returned part of my money but Spiller and Tait shouldn't promise delivery within 7 days of roasting if this can't be honoured.
