Haven't had as much time as I would have liked to use discover yet, but when I first got it opened up it blew my mind. The cello is haunting and gave me shivers as to how real it was. The string section is outstanding. The capture of the instruments and work that went it to the recording is nothing short of sublime. Thank u.

Brilliant, took a while before I got how I can use it
Very nice and useful collection of orchestral patches
Although many things of course are missing compared to the paid version of this library, this is insanely good for a free product!
Such a pity it relies on Kontakt player. Many composers like me rely on older machines that cannot run newer versions of Kontakt. Please, please, please - a Spitfire version, like you did with BSO Discover so creativity is accessible to all - not just the wealthy elite.
I couldn't even try it because NI has an unresolved bug on macOS Sequoia. My poor rating is because Spitfire shouldn't rely on another company to provide a player they should be building themselves.
does not work. (re-downloaded multiple times)
Recently, I had some free time between jobs, so I decided to get serious about DTM (desktop music production). I have owned the NI Collector's Edition and used it in combination with the Synthesizer V2, but I was looking for a sound library that wouldn't compete with the vocals or be too overpowering. I often use "Gemini Pro AI" for DTP consultations (of course for work), and the AI rates your company's products very highly. When I actually used it, your product was exactly what I expected. The beautiful legato line does not interfere with the vocals at all. Next I plan to purchase "BBCSO Core" and "BBCSO Piano".
I really enjoy Spitfire Symphony Orchestra: Discover. The instruments sound warm and expressive, and the interface is very easy to use. It’s a perfect tool for creating orchestral ideas and exploring new musical moods. Amazing work from Spitfire Audio.
Totally honest!
I truly like this plugin and ease of use. Sonic quality is incredible! Very versatile and I highly recommend it.
A consistently excellent orchestral sound with a great range of effects and sophisticated interface. This is my go-to for all orchestral scores.
Awesome sound quality! Super smooth to work with, no matter what DAW you use.
For a product that is free the sounds are first class although a bit limited on articulation but then again it is free what more is there to say it's brilliant.
Amazing that this is free. Definitely makes me want to purchase the source libraries.
I just love the quality of all instruments and i'm very happy to get this plugin!
It will not load onto my logic pro.
Outstanding audio and ease of use.
The Spitfire Symphony Orchestra is a real treasure trove of wonderful instruments. Purchasing this was a great investment, because the sounds of the instruments never change over time and so unlike modern synthetic sounds, this sample library will never be obsolete. Another good point is that any upgrades are free. This particular sample library was highly recommended by users online and after listening to Paul Thompson's walkthrough over the speakers I use in my home studio, it was apparent that the sounds and articulations were true to life. To me the realistic natural sounds of each instrument inspires me to compose. I like the many different combinations of microphone mixes too. This orchestra is really good value for money especially when you realise how much you're getting. I was very fortunate to purchase it in the August sale. I don't think you could find a modern workstation that could produce such good quality samples as these. The way forward is through the use of computers and sample libraries and a good home studio set up. The sound engineers must have a lot of patience to take so many samples of each individual instrument, this must have been a mammoth task, but it was well worth it for us composers. Well done to all at Spitfire Audio.
I think the SSO discover sounds good but for its size (5gb), the BBC orchestra sounds way better with way less space consumed. But I can't complain, the product is really beautiful.
