Sports Lawyer is a boutique sports law firm that provides legal advice and representation to clients within the sporting industry and for any other sports related matters. We pride ourselves on providing prompt, accessible and personal services for our clients. We have received many awards including the Paul Trisley ANZSLA Award for excellence in publication of a sports law paper. Work we have done has included disciplinary tribunal work (including seeking injunctive relief before the courts where necessary); reviewing or drawing up constitutions of sporting organisations; advising on all aspects of anti-doping laws for commercial events or for individual clients; advising on employment contracts from an employer or employee perspective; and representing clients before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. With over 18 years of experience and practice we have taken on not only national cases but also international challenges within the sporting industry.

Outstanding Service

Paul and his team delivered excellent service for a complex and urgent legal matter, which was dealt with in a very confidential and efficient manner.
Paul has a very supportive approach, and we always felt confident that he was going to deliver the best possible outcome for the matter. I recommend that any sports organisation consider Paul and his team to assist, as they are excellent at what they do. We are very grateful that Paul was able to support us throughout this matter.

Confidential, professional support for all

Paul and his administrative assistant made working with them easy, even though I live interstate. They were attentive to detail, gave comprehensive, knowledgeable legal advice and listened to my every concern. Anyone in a sporting environment not knowing where to go or what to do next should make contact - you can be assured of prompt, professional and excellent assistance. Sporting organization administrations do not always get it right for all players or officiators so when help is needed this is the place to turn.

Paul is amazing

Paul is amazing, sensitive, very responsive and responsible for his clients. We felt in good hands and felt our interests were represented to the best possible way. We were very stressed during our case but Paul made us feel protected.
