Literally don’t even bother looking on…

Literally don’t even bother looking on their website. As when you purchase items from there the age verification fails even though I’m over the age of 18 so it’s impossible for the software to fail age verification and since I’ve looked through the reviews and a lot of people have had the same issues where they keep asking you some absolutely BS questions about why you want them. And then say we have refused your purchase and banned you from buying again. Which is absolutely fine, because I don’t want to purchase from them again anyway, but I’m still waiting for my refund. I also purchased the exact same knives on a different website for a cheaper price. So this shocking business does not care about their customers at all; I have also requested they delete a picture of my ID as I don’t want them having it anymore because they don’t need it, and haven’t got a reply for that. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!

Sent the wrong item but went above and beyond to fix it.

Ordered a mora 120 and some blanks to try out woodcarving. They sent a mora companion instead.

I got in touch and they quickly sent a replacement and have let me keep the one they mistakenly sent me originally.

Despite the initial mix-up, I will certainly order from them again.

Great stuff bad customer service

These guys have a great site but the people them selves do not care about helping people or trying to send things. I have ordered and had to wait a week when the item did not arrive I message them as the gifts are for Christmas and I ordered in well more then 2 weeks so they had enough time. They did not try to contact me. And when I contacted them they made up reasons for why they didn’t send it. All lies and then when I had sent them proof of id they have now waited another week and still no contact my mother in law has now contacted them through Facebook and been told they will not accept the id and won’t be posting out my item 2 days before Christmas Eve for a Christmas gift for my son. They have now ruined my son’s Christmas which he won’t know until Christmas because they have lacked the ability to read emails and contact me

Also they had said once I had sent them my driving license for Id that they couldn’t accept it but trust pilot can accept it which shows again they are just not willing to help

They are dishonest and no help and…

They are dishonest and no help and won't deal with customers problems / avoid this dreadful family business who ,are driven by money .They have no returns so once you buy ..!!!!!! you have no refunds
When you ask to speak to a manager ,the nasty sales man makes up a excuse ????

To break down the points in your latest review:

1) We have no quibble returns policy for 60 days for new and unused goods. Your crossbow was returned used, with marks and ripped/damaged packaging.

2) We have tried to resolve this with you on multiple occasions.

3) We gave you a full refund for all accessories and an 80% refund for the damaged crossbow, which you agreed to at the time.

I'm the director of Bushcraftlab.co.uk (the site in which you ordered from - not Springfields.co.uk) and I have emailed you and tried to call and had no answer nor reply.

I am in the office Monday - Friday 9:30 - 5:30 and would still like to speak with you.

Easily the best site..

I don’t usually write reviews but this site is my go to when it comes to buying any crossbow or bolts, age verification was done very quickly, delivery is fast and reliable, customer support Is quick, never had any problems with this site, I tried other sites like preppers shop and it was awful as their customer support was full of lies and now springfields has become my favourite!

Returning customer of past years

I'm a returning customer of past years. Nice to order here again as I know it is a good outstanding family owned traditional company. One where I even recall I enjoyed years ago speaking to their CEO in the phone call one day. We had a great chat I fondly remember, about their key business generally around selling Bushcraft Outdoors studies related kit and equipment.

Update.

My most recent shop to date with them was early January 2025. I purchased two nice walking sticks. Two outdoors waterproof pads in different sizes, and a scrim scarf.

I have had some difficulty navigating the website however, as there doesn't appear to be interoperability to allow one to search out things on the onboard search engine. It brings up only partial or disorganised results in many search terms I had tried. I persevered but for instance there's seemingly no way to merely just search out the items all in the January Sale there on. But things in last Summer sale come up instead oddly. It would be helpful if one could conveniently just access the Sale items listing as before one could. That I used to check out the sale listing offers on every so often.

They want to keep asking stupid…

They want to keep asking stupid question after stupid question when there suppose to just check your over 18, ID you or ship your item and delivery ID you, instead your order don't turn up and you get some stupid questions, they don't like the answer and want you to answer more silly questions.

Why should a customer have to go in to detail on why they have placed a order and then the answers are not good enough and want to ask more stupid questions.

Check were over 18 and ask for ID by all means but what is the point in selling items then coming up with silly questions to determine if your going to ship the item or not then making a bs excuse to say, you've failed our security checks pfft, see how long business lasts with that crap, trying to say my area is a high crime area when I live in a posh estate pfft.

Don't bother ordering here unless your willing to explain the ins and outs of a fart, why did you order 2 items, I wanted to get the free delivery, that's not a good enough answer, can you elaborate,pfft.

Use somewhere else and save yourself a headache and a waste of time as it takes about 2 weeks to get your money back to after the week of bs questions.

Occasionally, if an order triggers a risk monitor then we will ask for more information, this isn't the usual case and it would have to have triggered numerous risk monitors, here is an example of some conditions that would need to be matched:

1) Multiple Machetes or lots of knives
2) Next Day Delivery
3) Order placed late at night
4) High knife crime area

The amount of orders which are placed that fit the criteria are small, for example: Order placed at 2am, to an inner city, with 4 machetes and 4 knives. It makes up a low portion of our orders but the risk of not asking is quite high, so as a business we choose to ask.

Great Service

Bought item from Springfields a few weeks ago ! Had an issue with the delivery due to DPD ignoring my request, NOT Springfield ! Had to contact Springfield to get issue sorted ! Dealt with Hayley who was excellent and sorted everything very quickly ! Brilliant service throughout ! Will defo use them again and would highly recommend them ! Great company !

Awful - Avoid

Made an order of Arrows for an event with 3-4 day delivery stated on website.
One week later, still no arrows.
Used website chat only to be told they couldn't guarantee delivery within the time stated on the website, and in fact they had only bothered to pass my goods on to the delivery service 6 days after I placed the order.
Customer service was non existent, abrupt and obviously didn't give a hoot.
Now too late for me to order from another site and (8 days after I placed my order) arrows have not arrived in time for my event, so will be completely useless to me.
Stuck literally driving round archery stores trying to find replacements.

Great experience with Springfields

First found springfields at the Bushcraft show and purchased from their stall. Whilst there they said about setting up an account with Springfields as I'm a leader in a youth group. Ginette helped with this and was a diamond. I have (sofar) ordered twice from them, great turn around on orders and delivery. Website easy to use on a phone, good prices, good equipment supplied cannot fault Springfields in anyway whatsoever. Will definitely buy the equipment that they supply from them.

Trying to buy a sharp knife for the…

Trying to buy a sharp knife for the kitchen, ignoring all the ridiculous Damascus hype etc. for a reasonable price which can be resharpened reasonably easily. Mora Frosts Wide Boning Knife 6" fulfils that role at £16 admirably. This is the second that I have bought and they arrive very sharp. Plasters need to be at the ready. Great sharpness for the money. The handle is plastic and will cope with being chucked in the sink and detergent.

I recommend that under no circumstances should you purchase defective equipment from Springfields and or any other name they may use.

The offer to "collect and replace" in the reply below is the first such offer
Springfields have also blocked / frozen my account disabling communication

So after receiving a broken crossbow from Springfields are requested they replace the product. The reply from them is “ Unfortunately we cannot do that, I would highly advise against using the crossbow as it will not assembled as intended and using it like that would void your warranty.” No replacement and return offered by the supplier

The crossbow has been manufactured not in line with safety Crossbows Act 1987 of the UK

Price comparison help from customer service

I have just made a sizable order with Springfield's and I wondered if there was a coupon I could use.

After trying one from a coupon site, it wouldn't work so I spoke to customer service who told me it was a fake.😕

However the lovely ladies who were ginette and Hayley, helped me to get a price comparison for a couple of my items which helped to reduce the price of my order. They were very helpful and I couldn't fault them with their speed and professionalism while speaking with me.
