After dealing with more than a couple domain hosts, Squarespace was like an oasis, to be sure. Everything was super simple, and I had rebuilt my whole blog on a new host with an annual subscription. T... See more

I had a good experience with Squarespace for the duration of our business relationship, and I will use their services again if needed.

The absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered. The fact that you can't talk to a real person to get business done is unprofessional. We will be moving our business away from Squarespace ASAP

I wasn't able to get access to a domain that my company owns... too many hoops to jump through for a purely technical issue that I should never need to ID verify a second person in my organization for. The domain already is set to forward to our corporate account... not like we're trying to steal it :(

Had me confirm a million different names because I did not have a saved password. Upon using the email address that the original message was sent to it wasn't the same email used to login. After verifying my identity with a third party, even then they needed more info to make sure it is me, even though I asked them mentioning the specific email address that was my actual login email. It's weird it sends the notification emails to a separate email address, that's all I had to know. I feel like that's something your support reps should be able to explain without deep diving into my personal identity so I can access my account to pay for a domain.

I've always been happy with Squarespace for my website but when I decided to host a membership and course on my site (paying the upgrade to host more video instead of moving to another course platform e.g. Teachable, because i thought i trusted Squarespace) I quickly became VERY disappointed. I had never used Squarespace to take payments for my business before. I encountered two worrying problems within the first week of doing so - the system mysteriously creating two order numbers for one payment (which made it appear to clients that they might have been charged twice - they weren't, but it didn't look good - support explained this was a problem they were looking into across multiple sites that they didn't yet have a solution for) and then the systme refusing to take payment from another client across a number of cards. This was in the middle of a super important sales period for my business so after two unresolved errors in two days I just could NOT trust the payment system and had to rebuild my sales page and switch my payment processing back to Acuity overnight which was hugely stressful in the middle of an already exhausting time. Of course because I was still hosting the membership on my site and was now receiving payments via another processor this also made getting clients set up with logins on the back end way more complex than it needed to be. In short, a very stressful and disappointing experience that has eroded my trust in Squarespace considerably.

Awful. It was basically an act of congress to cancel. I thought I cancelled years ago but realized recently they’ve been charging me this entire time. Then the hoops I had to jump through to finally cancel my account was legendary. Zero stars.

At inception square space was good to set up. However the reseller billing became a nightmare soon after. I was unable to change pricing plans and was restricted. The annual contracts are a forced issue. Cant terminate or change.
Recently I was notified that square space had decided to terminate my website and Google space email.
There was no billing credit card on account by now. There were no subscriptions as well. However I noticed two separate charges in my credit card statement for the email and website charges for this month. Now it’s a run around with emails and agents each time with constant email exchanges.
It’s frustrating very much.

The poor rep could only advise what was told him. But the fact that I can not cancel my subscription now and just allow it to run out is aweful. Now I have watch and be on guard to get it cancelled inside a window. Comeon, you are not a 2 bit group company and this is not acceptable that I can not pull the plug now that i am done with it and just want to bring it to an end. Very unacceptable.
Not happy customer

I reached out to Squarespace because my private domain, the one I wish to use on my blog, is inaccessible to me.
It was originally assigned to Weebly: and now is owned by TwoCows … or whatever they call themselves.
I want it back.
I went to Squarespace’s customer service page and ‘chatted’ over an hour with a SquareSpace staff person - who was perfectly useless.
S/he led me to believe s/he could recover my domain and help me install it on my new blog.
After eighty three frustrating minutes I pleaded with her/him to either help me or let me go.
S/he vanished.
I then sent an email to your website, asking for help.
That was three days ago - no one has reached out or replied to my request for help.
I have no idea what to do next.
My domain - kristineholmgren.com was my property for over 12 years on the site - Weebly.
Weebly apparently sold its site and content to Square - and Square sold my domain to TwoCow.
I know, I know, I know.
Square and Squarespace are separate businesses… but my blog is on Squarespace and I want Squarespace to help me get my domain back.
A few other things I know: I know how to organize and publish my work. I know how to design a page, an essay. I know how to format and design my blog,
But when it comes to coding and online technicalities, there are many, many things I do NOT know.
Recovering my lost domain? Forget about it!!!
I cannot do that by myself, all alone, without guidance, wisdom.
I need help.
And so - I ask this company to please help me retrieve my domain name, attach it to my Squarespace blog, and grow my audience.
Please help.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the online support I am currently receiving regarding a severe technical vulnerability on my site. Your representative, Violetta G, completely disregarded a legitimate system defect I brought forward. She refused to provide a valid technical explanation for how a customer bypassed my settings, and she has attempted to close out my claim without my consent and without resolving the issue. As a loyal Squarespace customer of over 10 years, receiving such incompetent, dismissive assistance is wildly upsetting. I demand this issue I'm experiencing to be resolved by a top tier manager and site engineer as this is completely unacceptable.
