Unprofessional and Disrespectful Recruitment Process

One of the worst recruitment experiences I’ve had. The recruiter was rude, dismissive, and made the entire process feel like an inconvenience to him. There was a complete lack of transparency—my location was never asked about, and I was only told after receiving the offer that the role might require quarterly travel to an office over four hours away. That kind of critical information should be disclosed before interviews, not after.

It felt careless and disorganised, and the communication style was unprofessional at best. This experience seriously damaged my impression of the company and suggests a lack of respect for candidates’ time and circumstances.

Would not recommend engaging with this recruitment team.

Made up with SRG

Made up with SRG, in-particular Loz himself. Had a really hard time at the start of September, my old company going into administration and only just moving into my house

Loz did everything, in a very timely manner to ensure I had every opportunity for interviews and job security. I’ve landed a brilliant job on more money I’ve ever been on. The communication was second to none and I would fully recommend his services, and those of SRG

To be honest

To be honest. They really have no reason to be this radio silent, if people are looking for job it is their duty to be responsive. Really bad agency to be honest doesn't even have a contact number and I have contacted them multiple times.

I took them to Court

I took them to Court
Over a period of three years they would contact me with e mails with jobs and never once sent my CV to the client
Their defence was so scandalous I filed a further application to the Court for being scandalous

Do not use SRG recruitment

Do not use SRG recruitment! I found a job through SRG and was on their payroll for over 12 months. There were mistakes with every single aspect of my employment. Sent to the wrong address on the first day, contractual holidays were wrong for 6 months, after signing the contract they never contacted me again, I was paid incorrectly more times than not depsite completing timesheets myself and on time. My contract was also ended without asking if my employer wanted to extend (they did) and I was sent my P45 at 6.30pm on a Friday. Office staff were unable to help me calculate holidays, but insisted I would lose them if I didn't take them before a 2 week deadline. Marcus Jolly and Philippa Clark were assigned to look after me during my employment and were uncaring and unknowledgable.

Worst recruitment agency I came across

Firstly they didn't send me a contract until the second day of my employment. I had to call and email them a number of times for them to finally send it. And secondly, they would not pay for my holidays that I submitted and emailed them about in advance. They are very unprofessional and in general don't seem to know what they're doing. Their approach is appalling, and I am already looking for a new job just so I don't have to deal with them anymore. If you want anything done you have to chase them up over a period of days for them to get something done.

Poor communication

Got through to an interview via SRG but unfortunately didn’t get the job. The company made their decision quickly, but SRG didn’t have the decency to let me know. Had to chase them up several times, with my messages being ignored, before I finally had confirmation. I would have appreciated it if they had just let me know right away so that I could move on.

Rejection without explanation

I applied for a job for which I was a good match. Without any explanation my application was rejected, which I think is a poor attitude to take.

Inexperienced and arrogant kids

A bunch of inexperienced and arrogant kids lacking professionalism.
They messed up with me and my fiance. After a rejection, with no care of my situation, they asked me to pass their details on to any other potential candidate for a specific role. That is your job, not mine!
With my fiance the situation was even worse. They spent time with inconclusive calls which brought nowhere and, after a while, they disappeared. Funny enough, she got hired by a prestigious pharmaceutical multinational company.
Recruiting talents or picking mushrooms?
I would say the second scenario is more likely.

Initially had a good experience with…

Initially had a good experience with SRG and they got me through to interview, however important information was left out about the role so I had to turn down the offer. What has really left a bad impression was the lack of response after writing them to turn down the role, not even a short email. I feel that they tried to shuttle me into a job that needed filling very quickly, but after establishing that I could not help them their initial politeness disappeared. Was really hoping to maintain a positive relationship with the agency but will have to think about going through them again in the future.
