WARNING: Unusable Broken Platform and Unresponsive Support

Impossible to get in touch with customer service. I paid a full year upfront and the platform has never worked properly. It takes over 3 weeks just to get a response, and every reply is “we are working on it” with no real resolution or only temporary fixes. Automations, formulas, and filtering do not work, making the system unusable. When I asked to cancel, I was not asking for a refund, I simply wanted to leave because the product does not deliver what was promised, and they refused. Preventing customers from canceling while failing to provide a functional product is unacceptable. There are better platforms available, and I regret paying upfront.

Stackby has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience

Stackby has been a very disappointing experience for me.

I bought Stackby originally on a lifetime deal from AppSumo some years ago as I was looking for an Airtable-type product.

I've tried using it over the years but I always run into issues.

A lot of software has bugs to be fair, but the main issue has been that even basic functionality is withheld unless you pay for a "power up". Unfortunately these can cost $150 or more per year, certainly more than the original lifetime deal!

In my case I wanted to be able to redirect a URL after a form submission. Fairly basic functionality I woukd have thought, but just to do this was going to cost more than the entire lifetime deal!

Unfortunately when I started using my AppSumo deal the return period had ended so I've basically been stuck with a product that has become an expensive annual cost.

Later I found Boost.Space on AppSumo which has so much more functionality built in, including full Make integration.

On top of that, the support from Stackby has been terrible. If good customer service is about under-promiising and over-delivering and listening to customers then Stackby are the complete opposite!

I always wonder about apps that keep coming back to AppSumo and recently I saw Stackby on there again.

I think the whole business model is to get people in on lifetime deals and then overcharge for even basic functionality going forward!

In this case, you're better paying monthly for something like Airtable or Boost.Space that is completely integrated with Make.

This is one to avoid.

Hello there, we take care of all the customer issues immediately and are known for our customer support. Please let me know what issues you have faced and leave us your email so we can review on your bug reports one more time.

We don't overcharge on any basic functionality. Similar apps charge a minimum $25/user/month for those functionalities which we offer for 3-4x less price.

We are also integrated with Make.com.

Would appreciate it if you can revisit this review again.

Thanks!

Love Stackby

Love Stackby
Great customer service, Airtable told us just to look at their resources; where as Stackby set up 1-1 personal virtual meeting
Many more features compared to Airtable, Google sheets
Some features are not as well developed as Airtable but they are constantly improving.

At first use I was too quick to judge

At first use I was too quick to judge. On my recent use and looking further into the available tools etc I am a big fan and for my non profit charity use the price is great and the tools are exactly what I need. Support staff are all so nice and very keen to help. Would certainly recommend.

Terrible experience!

At first it looked really good and I'd even paid for the annual subscription, but after some time had passed I started noticing alot of lags with it... both for me and my team which just made it unbearable to keep on using

Would definitely not recommend!

Hi Manuel, I'm not sure what prompted you to leave such a review. It would be have been better if you reached out to us on support and we would have helped solved your issues.

We're not expensive than Airtable, in fact the most cost effective.

If there's anything we can help with, please let us know. Sorry for your experience!

Spreadsheet on steroids....

Stackby is a really good alternative to Airtable. It comes with API so you can pull out any data you need. It's a very promising tool. If they create more onboarding videos on how to actually create a template for your Biz then I would highly recommend it.

Useful and easy.

I have tried a number of similar software, without being particularly happy. There have been big holes missing, whether it's UI, database referencing, integrations or things such as the powerups. I keep trying the other software for a database and moving it half way through, back to Stackby. That's how useful this software is. It's quick, easy to understand, you can move around it with your keyboard, has the integrations I need etc.

The main frustration is that I find the limit on the number of tables and rows per table frustrating and that's why I try another software first as I don't want to reach that limit and have to delete a table.

If you're new to databases take a look at this.

What I love most is the database of templates databases.
I still have a lot to learn to use it to the fullest, but it is solving so many of my data organization problems, Stackby will give you a ton of your time back.
Google sheets are great but fall short when you want to integrate data from 3rd parties. With Stackby, I can have prospects in a spreadsheet and update their data based on 3rd party api's without any programming skills; it's like magic.

The ability to. create ad hoc solutions for my company is the reason why I chose it

Love it. Extremely versatile tool for any business.

Stackby has helped us to fill in software gaps that our other SAAS tools leave behind, as well as discover new stack setups to improve current tasks and procedures. It also solves the problem of uniformity on our speadsheets and data entries with the use of predefined dropdown selections. This has allowed better organization and has reduced human error. The development team also seems to be passionate and continuously improving the tool which is very important for any SAAS. All-around, Stackby is definitely a great choice and we have no regrets choosing this tool.
