Interacting with this company's website…

Interacting with this company's website was unsatisfactory right from the beginning, as it appeared misleading and unreliable. Missing stock confirmations, outdated information, and various mistakes all fueled my doubts. Placeholder text lingering in the FAQ and a lack of Trustpilot reviews suggested they were trying to separate themselves from past negative critiques (which are still visible for stage-gear.co.uk on Trustpilot). The real problems surfaced once I placed an order. Despite the site stating that standard shipping was £10, I was billed £12. It also claimed orders before 2 pm would be dispatched the same day, but my item was sent three business days later, only after I called to inquire. Additionally, the item was shipped by a third party without any prior notice on the website. The absence of order tracking and parcel notifications was annoying, particularly given the cost. To add to the frustration, the wrong item was delivered due to incorrect SKUs, leading to more inconvenience and wasted time. Attempts to resolve the issue were unsuccessful. My email got no response, and my calls went to voicemail. When I finally reached someone, they promised to call back but never did. On another call, an employee couldn't find my email and blamed their supplier, merely offering a return and refund. Ironically, I found the same item on Amazon quickly. The lack of effort put into their website mirrored their poor customer service, making it a disappointing experience. In short, this sham of an online store should be avoided to save time and money.

The experience with this company's…

The experience with this company's website was disappointing from the start, as the site seemed deceptive and untrustworthy. The absence of stock confirmations, out-of-date content, and numerous errors all contributed to a feeling of skepticism. With placeholder text still visible in the FAQ and no Trustpilot reviews, it seemed like an attempt to distance themselves from their previous negative feedback (which can still be seen on Trustpilot for stage-gear.co.uk).The real issues became apparent after placing an order. The website claimed standard postage costs £10, but I was charged £12. It also promised same-day dispatch for orders before 2 pm, but my item was sent three business days later, only after I followed up with a call. Furthermore, the item was shipped by a third party, not the company itself, a fact not disclosed on the site. The site's lack of order tracking and notification of parcel tracking was frustrating, especially considering the cost. To make matters worse, the incorrect item was sent, showing a lack of attention to detail as incorrect SKUs were passed on. This led to further hassle and wasted time.Attempts to resolve the issue were futile. My email went unanswered, and phone calls ended in voicemail. Eventually reaching someone, they promised a callback, which never happened. Upon another call, a staff member couldn't find my email and blamed their supplier, offering only a return and refund. Ironically, I quickly located the same item on Amazon. The minimal effort put into their website reflected their poor customer service, resulting in a frustrating experience. Overall, this façade of an online store should be avoided to prevent needless loss of time and money.

Buy from anyone else. Anyone.

Nothing about this company's website is accurate. You get 'scam' vibes from almost every part of it - no stock confirmation, no recent news or blog posts, and frequent layout and spelling mistakes. The FAQ section still has the CMS placeholder text FFS. They have no reviews on Trustpilot, and it looks like they're trying to avoid the dismal reputation they've left on their previous website (by removing a singular hyphen, no less - see the accurate 1-stars on for Trustpilot's stage-gear.co.uk, same brand). More fool me for trying to use them.

Since nothing is accurate, you only learn the truth once you've ordered:
-Website says standard postage is £10. LIE: they charged £12 for postage.
-Website says item will be dispatched same-day if before 2pm, else next business day. LIE: item was dispatched three business days later, and only after I chased it with a phone call.
-When your item arrives, it's not even dispatched by this company. LIE: They don't stock their own products, and outsource orders without making this clear on the website.

The website is so basic it doesn't offer order tracking, and they don't bother to send you the parcel tracking number that you've paid a non-significant amount for.

The item that arrived was the wrong item, and bore little resemblance to what I had ordered. They had clearly put just passed an incorrect SKU to a third party without checking whether it was what was ordered. Minimal effort, maximum waste of everybody's time.

The email I sent them to let them know went unanswered. I then tried calling within opening hours, but all options went to voicemail. I tried again at the end of the day, got through to someone who promised to call me back, then didn't.

Calling again the next day, I got through to a woman who couldn't find my email, despite the previous staff member having read it. They blamed their 3rd party supplier, and could only offer a return and refund as "We can't find any other suppliers for this item". When I put the phone down I found the same item on Amazon within 30 seconds.

It is a shame that the level of effort invested in their website was mirrored in how they treat actual customers. In short, an amateur pack of lies disguised as an online shop front, and will only lead to you wasting your time and money. Avoid at all costs.

Thank you for your negative message, I am very sorry you felt this way on this occasion. I do not know which order this refers to, however I can assure you that this is not the normal level of service we deliver.
Our terms and conditions do advise that carriage is normally £ 8.33 + VAT, however there are many variants depending on Brand / Weight of the item. 99% of our customers understand that carriage can vary and make their decisions as they see fit. Our courier service is always a "Signed For" DPD or similar service, we do not currently use 'Postage'
As the owner of the business I take it very personally what you haved to say pubicly without making an enquiry to me first, I may have been able to resolve your issue in a much better manner.
I am also sorry to hear you perfer to use Amazon in place of supporting the smaller dealer network that actually have knowledge that you can never get from that particular retailer.

Again many apologies my company was not up to scratch on this occassion.
