I would strongly advise against using this removal company.
Alfie initially presented himself well and carried out a consultation beforehand, which gave me confidence in his ability to handle the move. However, on the day itself it became clear he was completely unprepared for the scale of the job. Despite spending an hour assessing the property in advance, he arrived without sufficient staff or the necessary equipment.
The move quickly descended into chaos. Several pieces of furniture were damaged due to poor dismantling and reassembly, including a shelving unit and a bed. Our belongings were handled carelessly throughout—my jewellery box was not properly secured, resulting in items falling out and being lost, and irreplaceable family photographs were packed alongside liquids and consequently ruined. Drawer contents were simply emptied into boxes without any organisation or care.
To make matters worse, the job was not even completed. A number of items were left behind, and basic tasks—such as removing curtains—were not done.
While Alfie is clearly confident in how he presents himself, the service did not match what was promised. His management of the move was disorganised and ultimately made an already stressful situation far more difficult than it needed to be. It was also apparent that his staff were working hard under poor direction, which contributed to the overall lack of structure on the day.
I would strongly caution others to think carefully before booking. Promises made at the start did not reflect the reality of the service delivered. Based on my experience, this company is not equipped to handle anything beyond very small, straightforward moves.
In the end, using this company cost far more in time, stress, and damage than expected. If you value your belongings and want a smooth moving experience, I recommend looking elsewhere.
