On opening the letter sent by Stampback I instinctively went to throw it in the bin. I decided to have a look because it was no-win-no-fee.

I filled in a quick form and within weeks I had over £5,000 in my account. Fuss free and easy.

John advised that we had overpaid SDLT on a mixed-use property and we were due a refund. He handled the whole matter from start to finish and within 3 weeks we received payment ! They also work on a no-win no-fee basis which is great.

When I received the letter from Stamp Bank I left it on the side presuming it was junk mail, for some reason I did not bin it. I returned to it a couple of days later to bin it and curiosity got the better of me!! and I decided to call the number on the letter.

John was very pleasant and explained what the company did, ‘it was a very short call’, and he said he would send me me email with the info they need, which was no more than a couple of questions, not time consuming at all, as I was dreading along email!

I was told what I could expect to recover from the stamp duty I had already paid, I was still very unsure at this stage.

Almost 2-3 weeks later I got a call from John’s PA, she asked me to check my email. It was confirmation that I have received over a £5000 refund.

Like most people I thought this was a scam initially but it is not, if you get a letter from Stamp Back, please do follow it through.
