Brilliant, easy, looks good.

BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT CANCELLATION....Payment taken for unwanted services. I used the 14 day trial for one CV. I cancelled so as not to be caught up in paying monthly as I knew I only needed it for one volunteer role job application. I even emailed asking how to cancel as found it difficult. They replied. I clicked the cancel subscription button on their website as advised and thought I had done it. I have had no emails, no invoices, no bills, telling me they are taking £17 every month for the last 7 months. I am fuming and feel completely ripped off. I will ask for a refund, but having seen other's reviews, I am doubtful. I feel exploited and taken for a ride.

A very intuitive website
This website helped me very much in improving my CV, starting from the examples that are given in the different sections, to the streamlined look and feel of the website. I would highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for a good way to improve the look and feel of their CV and are struggling for finding where to begin.

Warning: Horrible subscription trap- beware!

I’m writing this review to warn others about the predatory and misleading subscription practices I experienced with StandOutCV.

I initially signed up for a 14-day trial back in late 2022. After realizing I was charged, I emailed immediately to cancel my subscription. Despite explicitly stating that I wanted to cancel, StandOutCV continued to charge me monthly through 2025.

Adding to the confusion and concern, I only received two email invoices in early 2023 and never again after that. This lack of transparency led me to reasonably believe the subscription had been cancelled. In reality, the charges continued silently in the background.

Their refusal to refund payments, even after I presented this timeline and lack of use, reflects a complete disregard for fair consumer treatment. As someone who never used the service beyond the original trial, I find this inexcusable.

StandOutCV is a company built on exploiting users who forget about their subscriptions. Their model relies on burying cancellation policies in fine print and cutting off billing visibility by hiding invoices. These are not the practices of a transparent or trustworthy business. They are designed to maximize profit by misleading and outlasting consumer awareness.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Sorry... but the "templates" presented are all standard business style NOT for any creative production use of filmmakers or Talent with the ridiculous Chronological format puhleese. Hard pass

Fraudulent company, they unlawfully keep your bank cards details that you never agreed to and put you on an expensive "subscription" that you didn't agree to and they debit your account through stripe. They could be using this tactic against vulnerable or elderly persons and it's sneaky. Their company details (including address) are widely and easily available online for anyone to view and it's everyone's right to report fraudent online activity. Thanks for refunding my money that you took without my permission

This is a very clear template setup, with easy access to edit and modify. You can adjust priorities of skills and any other stand out features you want a prospective employer to notice, or change the entire look of a CV to match a different type of employer...within seconds!

I found the templates and pre-written examples very helpful in producing a successful cv. 6 months after being made redundant from a long term employer I had lost confidence in my ability to get an interview. However, the day after I submitted a cv made with the Stand out cv builder I progressed to next level of recruitment screening. Highly recommend this company and their products.

Scam website, unclear pricing information. Suddenly you have a subscription which you did not want to have, no billing information.
