Pricing on the ads is a gimmick
Pricing on the ads is a gimmick. Had to replace my kid's scratched glasses so decided to go there after seeing an ad. It was supposed that everything had 50% off according to web page (Frames and lenses) but when in there, was told the ONLY promotion in store was BOGO.
OK, that doesn't sound that bad I thought... Saw some decent glasses for $150.
Then learned that lenses prices was not included... then they wanted to add the extra test for glaucoma to a 10 years old, go figure...
While waiting in there, saw they had COMPLETE glasses for $75!! where the hell are those?
Long story short, I paid almost $700 for my kid's glasses... at least we got two as they promise, just not happy with their fake advertising.

My time at Stanton Optical as very positive! The optometrist (Noor I believe?) was very kind and informative through the process, and the sales associates were thorough, knowledgeable, and personable (specifically John). It made the process so smooth in getting my new glasses, which came a week early! I even took my mom in recently to get her some new glasses and her process was smooth too! In and out in like 20 minutes and she got 2 new pairs for over half the prices she would have paid otherwise. They did great, I’d definitely recommend for a no-hassle experience.

Good customer service
Good customer service. Very attentive. However the add on that were "recommendations " like wetting drops, compress, and other were automatically tacked on to my bill without an agreement on weather I wanted them or not was not preferred. But the overall experience, ease, and speed was lovely. Still 5 stars.

I’ve used Stanton Optical in the past…
I’ve used Stanton Optical in the past so I’m familiar with their services. I’m not sure if the glasses that I ordered is a no line bifocal…I called to ask & was told that they are but the guys kept saying that bifocal is progressive but it’s not. Progressive is when the lenses change from clear to sun glasses.

Hello Madeline, Thank you for sharing your concern! Just to clarify: bifocals have a visible line with two sections, while progressives (no-line bifocals) have a smooth transition. Lenses that switch from clear to sunglasses are called photochromic lenses, which are separate. If you’re unsure about your order, we recommend contacting the store so they can double-check your prescription and lens type for you.

Everyone at the La Mesa branch, especially Noor and the manager were absolutely amazing. This is my second time using Stanton and the staff here is great- i love this place!

Customer Service was Great!
Customer service was great! It was awesome to be able to get the glasses same day. I was happy with the selection of frames within the price range for the $79 deal. I was able to get one pair for distance and another for reading, which I wasn't sure that would be an option. So, something to consider if trying to stay in the $79 deal.
