I have used Stanton for several pairs of glasses. My prescription is great. I would like to complement Chelsea on getting the frames adjusted properly.
I was given time to make my selections for regular glasses, as well as sunglasses. Heather was so helpful, I just have to mention her. She took her time to help me make the right selections that were good for me. I am so very happy with all the choices I made.
Personnel were pleasant. I hate the glasses. They gave it w/o properly fitting.
Charged me for the ‘free’ eye exam.
They said they couldn’t use my insurance, came home, called the insurance company and found out they were wrong.

same day service. I went in with broken critical glasses. They repaired what I had. Had me come back later in the day for an eye check. I ordered new glasses that day and for the 1st time in many years, my very special glasses were manufactured and in my hands in a week. It has always taken 4-6 weeks to get them made before. Thanks!
I ordered on March 31st 2025. I received a message saying one of the glasses were ready on April 9th. I came in and the glasses could not be found. They had to order another pair. I have wasted my time and gas plus the cost of the child care for someone to watch my baby while I did this. I waited again and got a text saying the glasses were ready on April 13. Went in to pick up the glasses and It has been 3 weeks since I ordered the glasses and I only received one of the two pairs. I will not be coming back. I can get glasses online for a fraction of the cost I paid and it takes less time then this to get them.
My appointment was at 12:30, got there & they said the Dr had gone to lunch so postponed my appointment to 2:15. Also, I called that AM and the call center said they could fit me with gas perm contacts, but Dr said he couldn’t fit me.z
The overall service was good. The staff was nice. What I didn’t like is that the email said both pairs of my glasses were in and when I drove the 30 mins to get them only one pair was there. Then like 2.5 hours later after I arrived back at home they sent another email stating they were there now.
Well after calling and having two different people tell me both pair of my glasses was in, I drove all the way over there and only received one pair of my glasses. For some reason the other pair never got ordered but they sure took that money out of my debit card!
I ended up paying more because I wasn't made clear on what the costs of things were.
This was my first visit to Stanton Optical in Mishawaka, Indiana and it couldn’t have been a more disappointing experience. While most of the staff were professional and pleasant, Dr. Anthony Gish was the complete opposite. He came across as short-tempered, unprofessional, a man-child who is unable to regulate his emotions.
He expressed irritation about a staff member to me, which was completely inappropriate. When I asked a simple question to clarify my prescription, he responded in a dismissive and irritated tone, as if my question was challenging his expertise.
At one point, while I was being helped by Kristen with ordering my frames, he interrupted and demanded to speak with her immediately, pulling her away mid-conversation. There was no regard for the fact that she was actively assisting a patient.
His behavior created an uncomfortable and tense environment throughout my visit. Quite frankly, his lack of professionalism and inability to maintain his composure makes him ill-suited for a role that requires direct interaction with patients.
I can never get glasses the same day. Branded largely on the building but I've never had it and that bothers me a lot. So much that I won't be coming back. Taking my prescription to a different provider. Thanks for the glasses next week.
The entire experience. Everything seemed to go wrong from the beginning. They called to move our appt to an earlier time. Left work just for them to be running almost an hour behind. Bad exam, employee was clearly in a hurry and flipped through lenses so quick that I could not tell the difference. At times the lens did not even open. Ended up with wrong prescription and couldn’t see. Had to make second appt to have it corrected. When I arrived I was told I shouldn’t have made the appt on line because I needed to see the eye Dr. totally disappointed.
