Star Name Registry Reviews

I thought a coloured star map would be provided but it was just a black and white piece of paper. For the price, it should have been a coloured map and a better certificate. When I bought on 5 years ago, it was much better. Quite disappointing,

The star map is a little difficult to read. It would be nice if you provided the true star number/name to help locate it with an app

I think the order was good, but I was dissatisfied with the map where you can view the star because it doesn't show up that great. but other than that is is good! thanks

The package arrived very quickly and in general the website is easy to use.The certificate looks lovely, except for the 'significant date', which stands out and I'm not even sure what the significance is. The website didn't appear to explain. I paid extra for a map of the constellations, but don't think that that was worth the money. All in all, I would buy this as a gift again, but would prefer not to have the date on it as is and certainly wouldn't pay for an extra map.

I'm so very pleased with my star! The web site was easy to use and my package arrived in 3 days! The certificate is beautiful and the sky map and info pamphlets are so cool and informative and the app is easy to use..... I easily found my star on it :)
I cant wait to give this to my family for Christmas. I would highly reccomend this!

Product and delivery were great. Customer service was amateur at best! On my second order I missed clicking on star map. My fault trying to order the map was a act of futility! If you like hearing a phone ring call your 800 number! Emailed and got a prompt response from Josh Allen he would have just sent me a link but something was was wrong with your pay server" so I would have to ring." I believe that's a British term 4 call you but he did not leave a phone number with the email! And like I stated earlier if you like listening to a phone ring call your 800 number! So there is an additional sale you missed

Great gift lovely frame easy to find the star on the map

It came quickly, and the service was easy enough. I wished that as the gift option you could choose your own star and that you could see on the app the location of the star. So I won’t actually be choosing this company for a next time. I’ve used another star registry company in the past where for the same amount of money you got more features as the mentioned above and also a star map.

I started this search because of my Great-Granddaughters love of space and stars. i didn't know what to do or how to order. I managed to get the order done but couldn't figure out how to get the star=map for her. I was contacted by email by Mr. Townsend who was able to help me get what I needed. I would recommend this site to everyone who asks me, and they will, because of the kindness and patience of this young man my great-granddaughter will be able to see her star with her new telescope. Wonderful site with helpful kind staff.

I bought this for my grandson. He was so thrilled with it. He loved the Star Map and the fact that it was just for him. This is such a great gift and the people who put it together did an awesome job. Thank you

Don't fall for this scam. Your star is not legally recognized in any scientific manner. It is just a random selection that gives you a cheap print out of a certificate and star map. On top of that, my papers arrived bent and the seal on the envelope was opened.

Very easy to use, package arrived quickly and is absolutely beautiful and very informative, including a map and photo, and instructions to see the star in the official register ^^ I purchased in the memory of somebody very special to me, so it means a lot that everything went so smoothly, I have a nicely framed certificate in my bedroom and greatly look forward to seeing his star when it shines the brightest in May! ^^
Thank you xxx

This is a gift, that is ultra special, a Gift that is forever. When I was looking for a gift, nothing was right and good enough.
Then I saw, that you could name a Star, I was taken back, that not only you got a star also a map of the star, as well as a Certificate in the constellation of your choice.
It was all done and delivered in such a short time. This is amazing and to me I recommend it too everyone. There is a star waiting for you.

Everything came in the timeframe expected. Everything was packaged well. Liked the dark (sky) blue on the star location map.

I have previously bought 2 stars. This time I bought another. The packages were a bit different this time (it’s been a few years since last purchase) I thought I was ordering the same package. When it arrived I was missing the map that was showing where my star was, I emailed them and I received a quick reply that I missed ordering. The map. The customer service agent helped me and easily orders it for me then sent a request for payment that I was more than happy to do.

The package came in the mail 12/5. When I opened the mail box the cardboard envelope was opened and the documents were partially sticking out!!. Wasn't there supposed to be a star map with the package, showing the location of the star?.This is supposed to be a Christmas gift for our niece!!.

Absolutely over the moon with the certificate and star map. The whole process was quick and easy, even when I needed to add the star map on after completing the order this was done quickly and easily with excellent customer service from Ryan. The quality of what was sent is great. My wife is going to love it! Thank you! Can’t recommend highly enough!

I ordered the info packet to be mailed instead of receiving it online. The printed materials in the packet are professional, although there's not much in it and you need a magnifying glass to read the tiny print on the brochures and the map. I also wasn't happy with way the name appears on the certificate or "Name Deed." The names and date you select are all on one line, which isn't what I hoped for and looks very awkward on paper. The name or "title" of your star should be the centerpiece of the certificate, with other pertinent information centered below it. Apparently, they only use one form of certificate, whether you purchase a single star or a binary star, so keep your ideas for naming star(s) simple. I purchased a "Binary Star" and envisioned the deed certificate to look like this:

The Mother-Daughter Stars
(Names of Mother and Daughter)
(Date of naming)

Instead, it looked like this:
The Mother-Daughter Stars & Name and Name -- 25th December 2020.

A fun gift, but for the money, the packet and the certificate could be improved.

This was better then I expected. The box it came in was perfect. It really looks authentic and beautifully put together. Lots of information showing where the star is with coordinates and a map. It was just perfect!!

I am not impressed with the product, the map is to light, can’t see the star clearly. I filled the birthday info but it was not put on the deed.
