I brought a star for my granddaughter but I didn't add a star map , when I released I contacted them . Was very helpful and sorted me out with one . Carnt wait to give it too her on birthday

I thought the certificate came in a frame and also a star map showing where our star is that’s why I picked
The more expensive package .

The process was easy and I had my products in a few days, quicker than expected and in time to be given as a gift. I loved the map showing the star and the consideration taken when finding the right star. It was the perfect gift for a sad occasion to honour the memory of a little sole that will never been forgotten.

The app doesn’t have a star map to show in the sky. They give you outdated info on using google sky maps which no longer exist and when contacted. Said they are working on an app soon. So much $$$ wasted when so many other companies have the app already

Everything was great except for the edges of the star map and welcome paper and things printed on paper. Everything that is printed is ok and informative but the edges look almost ripped off of a larger sheet of paper rather than precision cuts. The foam on the I side of the box could have been placed and glued straight and even rather than crooked enough to notice as soon as opening. For 70 plus dollars these things should be done correctly. The overall idea and set up is neat though. Thank you.

The star doesn't exist and even if it did you there is no way to locate it.

The website says you can use their app to locate the star using Google Star Map which has been discontinued, they say they are developing a new app but have no timeline for it. Its a great scam selling fresh air as long as you don't check. Used the live chat and asked how to locate the star and even the member of staff couldn't locate star.

I found Name a Star easy to use. I was extremely happy with the package I bought it and it arrived within the postage time I selected.
It is very good quality and informative with a beautiful certificate. The app is also excellent as it allows you to see your star on the NASA star map. I would recommend anyone to use the Star Name Registry very happy.

This was so easy and pain-free. It was shipped so fast I thought it was a scam. I bought 2 stars and was worried it would be for nothing. But nope. It is the real deal. The star map is so beautiful and the certificate is stamped and sealed. It's the best. I am so glad I did it. I would recommend them again and again.

I purchased a star name last year for my daughters 21st birthday but through no fault of her control this was damaged and thrown away. I approached the company and asked if I could get a reprint of the original certificate and map and they where happy to do this for me.
I am so grateful, my daughter will be so happy too as she loves astronomy.
These do make amazing gifts!

I bought this for my son for his birthday on November 19th. It is really nice. I would recommend one change and that is to mark the star that was named on the map so it is easier to find.

I needed a way to memorialize my wife, Ginny Messec, who died of leukemia in November 2019. Star Name Registry provided the exact thing I needed. Our sons, their wives and family friends found this a beautiful way to remember a special woman. Ginny's star is found in the Gemini Galaxy deep in the heavens. Star Name provided me the astronomical address so when I get out of the city, I can find it easier. Only thing I wish was that they had furnished a star map to locate Ginny's star.

The package is beautiful and well done. Identification and map are clear. The app helps to find our star. Maybe the name should appear when we share the link for others to see.

Receiving a star in memory of a loved one is the greatest gift I have ever received and why I have sent others the same gift. The map and certificate is something to keep and really make you feel like your loved one is always looking down on you. I don’t know how you do it but the delivery always comes at the most perfect moment.

I was a bit disappointed that I paid double the initial price (which pulled me in) for added extras to make the purchase special. Ie for a brighter star and map.
Excellent- the person I named the star for was absolutely delighted.

So after the first time around when they hit you with all the secret add ons for the extras I was left disappointed and customer service sent me a generous 50% off. So I purchased a basic option the second time around for Mother’s Day. Now whilst the gift is a great idea I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for anything unless you own a telescope or a keen astronomer they don’t offer a way to actually find the star they just direct you to 4 options to view a sky photo of a star. They offer at time of purchase a map that is £9.99 which once you down load the app you can get this for £1.99. In review I would say if your doing this get the basic cheapest one and just point to a star if they don’t own a telescope and save yourself from further robbery

I could only give 4 stars as I thought the bright star would be one of the yellow ones I can see on the map. The process was straight forward , the postage perfect and the time from payment to delivery was great, just disappointed my darling granddaughter’s star doesn’t shine as bright as she always did and still does.🌟💫✨

I was looking for something special to have in memory of my mum who recently passed away and I came across the name a star gift. This gift is an amazing way to honour my mum,there was various options to choose from,all with the certificate and location of my mums star, even included was a map and the co-ordinates for mums star so we can find the named star. The location and certificate was available for download once payment had been made. Very easy to understand and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for that special gift or personal gift to honour/remember a loved one who has passed
