We bought my amazing father his own star. We lost my bonus mom (30+ years married) in 2019 to stage 4 lung cancer. In January of 2020, our family was delivered another blow when my dad (my mentor, best friend and hero) was diagnosed with the IDENTICAL cancer. Today, he's losing the battle. He's raised 7 kids and him and my momma have 18 grandkids and 7 great grandchildren! We celebrated his 67th birthday on September 4th. He cried (as did a lot of us)... the gift was delivered in a timely manner. The packaging didn't even require wrapping. The box everything comes in is beautiful and durable. The certificate is framed nicely and we have a map to help us find "him" whenever we want to. I haven't used it yet, so I can't really describe the app... but the app is supposed to help you locate your star. I opted for a bright star because I live in the city and I still want to be able to see it (with binoculars) and that's possible... this gift is/was a great, heartwarming and as sentimental as I could possibly think of. I would recommend this as a gift for ANYONE that you want to tell how much you love and care about them.

Fantastic customer service, I hadn't ordered the star map but decided I wanted it, rang them up and was sorted straight away. Recieved it all and so pleased with it all. This is the third one I have ordered and all excellent and arrived very quickly. Would certainly recommend for that something special or different gift.

Named this star after my son. Thought the star map with named star would be in color. For the money spent it seems like it should be more. only got one blank card and it was not the one advertised. It's just ok. Trying to actually find the star is not easy and I'm wondering if it is actually a legit star.

Naming a star is a lot of fun, then you can share the search in the night sky for it with friends and family.
The star registry was really cool and the packet received looks great with plenty of information on the constellations and different types of stars and such along with a certificate and a "star map" which that was the only thing that seemed a bit weak. I wish there was a star chart app that I could pull up and find it on the app with orientation to the night sky like a few other star gazing apps have but their numbers/star ID are completely different so there is no way to definitively find your exact star easily.

Completely awesome customer service and product! The representative with whom I spoke on the phone cleared up a point of confusion; he was patient and knowledgeable and walked me through the process. Delivery was within 2 days and carefully packaged for safe delivery. The product is exactly as described, and it is worth ordering the optional map. It is a terrific gift for someone who enjoys looking at the stars, and a point of pride to have his own named star.

Amazing gift idea and the quality of the boxed package was lovely. Worth getting the star map at an additional cost as this totally sets off the gift. If there was one area of improvement that I would recommend it would be that the app is updated so that it is virtual at present it is just a picture of the star and registration no - some apps allow you to find the star virtually this would be ideal you could then find your star by using your phone

What a great company. I messed up the naming of my star and when I emailed them I was very surprised at how fast they got back to me. They didn't just offer to fix the stars name they also sent me a new map and certificate. Couldn't be happier with the service they provide, highly suggest it to everyone!

App needs improving, otherwise a good product.
Product arrived quickly and discretely, perfect as was a gift. The only downside is the app isn’t as good as hoped. The app just allows you to open a map of the stars, it doesn’t locate your star for you. I have other stargazing apps that allow you to search a constellation or planet and it will guide you to it via your phone camera. It would be very handy to have a feature like this in which we can input the stars location and have the app show you where it is in the sky at that point. Paid for extra bright and still haven’t seen it due to having difficulties finding it. Other than this it’s a nice sentiment, it would just be nice to know it’s actually there 😂
