1 STAR and if I could give zero stars

1 STAR and if I could give zero stars I would. One star is the minimum I am allowed to select.
I placed an order on March 31 for two bottles of injectable vitamins. Nearly two weeks later, on April 11, I received a horse halter. I did not order a horse halter. I have livestock and I know what I ordered and a horse halter was not it.
I sent three emails to customer service asking for help. Not one was answered.
I called on April 14 and spoke with a representative named Samantha. She admitted the warehouse made a mistake. She asked me to send a photo of the incorrect item I received, which I did immediately while we were still on the phone. She promised to speak with her manager, told me she would do something special for me, and assured me my correct items would be sent. I heard absolutely nothing after that call.
I called back on April 15 and was told by a different representative that in order to receive the two items I already paid for, I would need to pay again and wait for a refund on my original order. I refused. I was then promised a supervisor would call me by end of day. No one called. When I called back I was sent to a voicemail box instead of a supervisor. I left a detailed message and called again. At that point Samantha told me to just go ahead and file a chargeback with my credit card company.
Let that sink in. Their own customer service representative told me to file a chargeback rather than simply resolving the issue.
This company has my money. They have the vitamins and minerals I ordered. They sent me a horse halter by mistake, ignored three emails, made promises they did not keep, asked me to pay twice for the same order, pretended a supervisor was going to call me, sent me to a voicemail box when I asked to speak to one, and then threw their hands up and told me to dispute the charge with my bank.
I am now in the process of filing a formal chargeback with my Visa credit card company and will be submitting complaints to the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Attorney General’s consumer protection office.
Do not order from this company. They will take your money, send you the wrong item, ignore your emails, and leave you to fight for your own refund.

Rip off company

I purchased a saddle pad for $38.99 and. paid shipping, totaling over $50 for the saddle pad and it got it here and it was actually bigger than it said when I ordered it. I sent it back and they only refunded me $26! This company is ridiculous. I even paid the extra $2.99 when I ordered it to be able to return it!

Every time I try to add items to my cart at a discounted price, the item reverts to full price for no apparent reason. The shipping charges are ridiculous and the returns process is onerous. I see things all the time on their website that I want and that seem like a good deal and then the issue with pricing and crazy shipping costs steers me away.

Thieves

Purchased a solar battery from this place, accidently ordered wrong size and requested to return it. They emailed me a return label and item was returned to them..This was in January..it's now March 24th and still no refund! Thieves! Don't ever buy anything from these scammers!

Horrible return experience

Zero stars would be my recommendation. They’re awful - shipping takes a long time, and when the product arrives, if it does not fit, returns are extremely complicated. And, you don’t get your full refund. On top of it takes them many days to even issue a refund, assuming they deem it necessary. Overall a terrible experience. I got $27 back of $40, and have reached out several times inquiring about the difference and details. It’s Feb 24th and the refund was issued on Feb 19th. Please, save yourself the hassle and headache. So many other tack stores deserve my money and business. This is not one of them.

Poor relationship with customers..

There is a $1.99 charge for Checkout+ that is automatically charged , they say it’s optional at Checkout but there is no way to delete it, that’s on top of your shipping fee . They say it’s supposed to cover return shipping and insurance if you needed to return an item. Also they charge you the 3% credit card fee that the credit card company charges them.. passing it on to there customers.. Also customer service is rude and unprofessional.. Every time I order from Stateline Tack I regret it and say I will never order from them again.

Absolutely horrible

They are the worst I ordered coats for my horses all showing in stock only to have some arrive when called the lady about it told me the 15th was when next order was comming and was rude the manager just called now they are completely out of stock for the season??? Was super rude as well dont waste your money with these people at all!!!!! Will leave tons of reviews on this as she told me if I'd let her talk well im a customer that spent over 500 in one order and part of my order is missing no u listen to the customer she should be fired!!!

No customer service on defective item

I bought an expensive bareback pad. First, it shipped without a girth. The girth they sent was for another pad. The buckle ripped off the third t I me.
I called their and sent photos, was promised a new correct girth. After three calls, no girth and no return allowed despite more promises.

I would also give them ZERO stars if I could! Unfortunately my item has never shipped and I cannot reach a human via phone, chat bot and the four emails I have sent have not warranted a response apparently. DO NOT order from STATE LINE TACK.

Zero stars for this company. They do not respond to emails and so far have not shipped the product I purchased two weeks ago. Beginning to think this website it just a big scam. Steer clear.

I wish I could give this company zero…

I wish I could give this company zero stars. Their customer service is unhelpful and disorganized. I have been trying to receive a refund for 3 months and each email I receive from them lists another excuse as to why they haven't refunded my money. They are dishonest and basically stealing from their customers. I encourage everyone to NOT support this business.

Great service for 25+years

I've shopped Stateline tack for MANY years. I used to shop at the original Plaistow, NH store and still shop them online, over 25yrs later. They will price match if you CALL and provide the online reference for the lower price. There was only one instance where the product I ordered was not what I received and Stateline refunded the cost and told me to keep the item. I highly recommend this company.

would not do an exchange for the correct size

I've been a customer for years. They sent the wrong product, and asked me to email them photos of my order and the product. I did, but they said they didn't get them. They also told me they would not do an exchange for the correct size. The whole order was delayed for over a week, as well. No longer ordering from them, they are very snippy on the phone. I am done with them.

Discounts So Exclusive, They Don’t Exist

State Line Tack advertises flashy promotions (30% off orders over $129, 25% off codes, etc.), but good luck actually getting any of them to work. I placed a $163 order—no discount applied. Tried other promo codes; they said “applied” but nothing changed. Turns out the item I wanted was mysteriously excluded from every deal.

Customer service told me it was already “the cheapest price anywhere,” so no discounts apply. Then why offer them at all? Feels like bait-and-switch tactics hidden behind fine print. If your promos only apply to random, overpriced items, just be upfront about it. I won’t be shopping here again.

I ended up purchasing the exact same product from Cavallo directly… for $127 + free shipping. Also looked at purchasing through Chewy, where the total came out to $149 + free shipping. So “the cheapest price anywhere” was also a straight lie.

The shipping costs are outrageous

The shipping costs are outrageous. The shipping time is so slow. I used to like Stateline but I am done. A horrible experience. The sizing to purchase the fly mask I bought was totally inadequate, so I have to return the mask. I will wind up paying more in shipping costs than the mask. What happened to you Stateline? I may have to keep this horse size mask that is really sized for a Draft Horse.

Shipping/Misleading Website

VERY slow shipping. Website is misleading!

Placed order 5/2/2025, order shipped 5/6/2025, last tracking update was 5/10/2025 and says USPS still awaiting item. It's now 5/15/2025 and have yet to receive item.

Under the item we ordered it says item usually ships (key word usually) in 1 business day.

I selected economy shipping, which simply says 2-5 Business Days.

Other options were:
Ground (2-3 Business Days)
3 Day Select (3 Business Days)
2nd Day Air (2 Business Days)
Next Day (1 Business Day)

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STATE LINE TACK! For 35+ year's I ordered bulk pet food from a business that recently closed. Ordered from SLT in distant past with no issues & saw an online ad from them for Triumph cat food for $15.49/case. Cases of cat food can range from $15-50. Lower prices are possible for low to mid quality cat foods especially if near or at expiration date or firm has a going out of business sale. I bought cases in past for $15 from other sellers. Had trouble on SLT website menu to purchase the cat food, so I called, left message for order/amount of cases on answering machine & to please call me back. No return call. Thought I figured out their confusing menu, so I ordered 10 cases on 3/19/25. Shipping cost was excessive-but for the weight of 10 cases/added to low purchase price, it was acceptable. I did not receive 10 cases, but only 10 single cans for $217.19! No sales receipt was in box. Though I didn't get receipt in box, my online purchase order literally says "cases" on my account receipt! Upset & confused, I called them. They told me the web info was a mistake & they're not selling cat food anymore. Asked to speak manager Kerry. She was busy & would call me back. No call. I called repeatedly, left messages, no response. I waited a few weeks to give a busy business the time & courtesy to respond! No call & no email from SLT or Manager Kerry! They literally ghosted me! Tried to email them to discuss the problem & they have no Customer Service email. If any customer has an issue, they can just ignore your calls! Shocked to discover they have terrible reviews w/similar behaviors! Contacted credit card to dispute. Dispute still pending. Held off doing a SLT business review as I hoped this would be resolved amicably, but it's not looking good! I am a senior who does without in order to save & get a little price break on pet food bulk orders--so this has hit me hard! SLT was once an excellent seller but now employs deceptive advertising practices & cheats their customers. Even high end canned cat food doesn't sell for $15.49/can! In my wildest dreams I would never pay for, or even think such an outrageous price could be charged or sold for one can of cat food! This is a word of caution to everyone that even if you've used a long established business in the past like SLT, you must double check complaints, reviews, customer service availability & do not order if their web menus are unclear, problematic or you have questions that can't be answered immediately! I'm nothing but shocked by their deception, dishonesty & disservice to customers! Business integrity & good faith practices are a thing of the past & let the buyer beware! A one star rating is way too high for them! SLT ripped me off but good! DO NOT ORDER FROM STATE LINE TACK or they will play you for a sucker as they me!

NOTE: I will update regarding final outcome of this dispute, but as stated earlier, this seems to be their current modus operandi & business as usual pattern! I held SLT in high regard & trust! Silly me! Avoid them like the plague!

I ordered a pair of Justin boots…

I ordered a pair of Justin boots because they had a good price.
When they arrived, the boots were definitely seconds.
The left boot was smaller than the right boot.
I notified them immediately to start a return.
They are charging 10% restocking fee, plus I had to pay the shipping on the return. It has been 30 days and they will not issue a refund and will not reply to emails. They are not a good company.

Bad Customer Service I only left one star because zero stars…

I only left one star because zero stars was not an option. I ordered two horse blankets and then received a promotion email three hours later. I immediately called and talked to an associate who told me that I qualified for the promotion, and she would ship it out to me, (it was a small farrier kit). I received the blankets, but not the kit, so after another week I called back and inquired. I was then told that they still had the notes to ship the kit out and they would have someone call to confirm the shipping within 3 hours. Three days later, still no call. Finally I called back and was told since I ordered the blankets three hours before receiving the offer, that I could not receive the promotion. Is State Line Tack this hard up? Apparently so. Needless to say, I am returning the blankets and will buy from a company that honors great customer service. These people seriously need to go to business school.
