Efficient reliable repairs and maintenance
Efficient, professional, knowledgeable and communicative. Arrived in their time slot as expected. They have the right skills and tools and do things quickly and cleanly. Continuity of staff, the same person came to see the boiler as serviced it the previous year. The person who fixed it was the same as fixed it the previous time so they already know your set up to some extent. Patience and in depth understanding - dealing with 30+ year old CH system, lovely old Glow-worm (now part of Vaillant).

Genuinely great service from a long-standing company
The house I moved into had a system boiler that needed to be replaced due to age. After having a quote that came in "on the high side" from another local firm I contacted Status Heating who had recently done a repair on the old system. Status Heating quoted several hundred pounds cheaper for an equivalent system, but also with new radiator valves and a Hive smart controller.
Top marks to Andy and Billy who fitted the new combi boiler in a 1940s property and worked around the various quirks (rebar in the wall!). They replaced the boiler, removed the old hot and cold water tanks in the loft, fitted the new system and did a heating system flush in just over a day and a half and did a top job of cleaning the inevitable mess.
A colleague arrived shortly after they left to fit the Hive smart controller.
As part of installation I get my first year's service for free and 24x7 gold-cover for a year should I need it.
My family has been using Status Heating for over 20 years, we wouldn't go anywhere else for our heating needs.
Excellent Customer Service from Status Heating
Status were appointed by Corgi to carry out our Annual boiler service - Kirk was very professional and carried out a very comprehensive boiler service, keeping us informed of what he was doing throughout the process.
Secondly we needed additional work required on our three way valve, again Status were appointed by Corgi and Josh diagnosed the problem immediately , ordered , collected and fitted the new part quickly and efficiently.
Contact from the company was very good throughout both processes, keeping us informed of appointment, arrival time with both calls and texts.
Excellent customer service throughout and would highly recommend this company.

Don’t turn up - 4 missed appointments
Waited in for 4 appointments and they’ve not turned up for any of them. No communication, just a letter a few days after each missed appointment with a new appointment. Absolute joke!

Service first time we have used this company
We rang and booked a service for the first time with with this company lovely friendly chat with lady who booked service. Service engineer arrived did service arranged for new part to be fitted but as this didnt cure the problem another part ordered and now fitted with refund for 1st part. Absolutely brilliant service friendly informative and reliable and punctual. Will definitely use again breath of fresh air from previous warm air service engineer with another company who was rude and totally unreliable

I had the first service/inspection of my heating system by Status on 9/10/24 and not only did it seem a very thorough one compared with past ones but I asked the engineer for a little lesson on how I should use all controls. He was excellent and today I feel really confident, for the first time in 9 yrs!!!, as I now know what I am doing. Many thanks Status. (Aged 87).
Do not use!
Unfortunately the heating installed does not heat the house. I was either sold the incorrect heating unit or the unit is not fit for purpose. The instalation team are very friendly. However the customer service individual was extremely condescending, patronising, unhelpful and very rude. At present I have a heating system that does not work and is emitting a strange smell, I hope it is non toxic but who knows. I am being chased for money for a heating system that is not fit for purpose and could potentially be dangerous.
Superb Service
My experience with Status on two occasions has been nothing short of outstanding. My 84 year old father-in-law who lives alone had his boiler break down last year (needed a new heat exchanger) and then a couple of weeks ago (the silencer foam had perished and stopped the fan working). Status did not install the boiler (begins with A…) but they were recommended by the manufacturer. Pam in customer service was wonderful and kept me informed throughout and the engineer Gary was just superb - courteous, professional and efficient. Great service imo!

Everyone who we had contact with was polite and helpful. All appointments were kept on time and within the time slot stated. Very tidy workmanship did a very good job. Would recommend them. Very Pleased.

One off gas boiler repair arranged by…
One off gas boiler repair arranged by boiler manufacturer - job given to status. The engineer (Gary) did everything possible to get us fixed but one of the parts fitted turned out to be faulty (it happens - can’t be helped).
Despite the boiler not being repaired today - the efforts and customer service received from the company was excellent and Gary was OUTSTANDING !!!!

A engineer attended the house this morning and expected a 85 year old woman to go out in the cold to open the back gate and when he was asked to come to the front door he refused and then said he was denied access to the property unprofessional and a liar
Great help and service.
These guys were so great. Needed help and advise for my moms air heating system. They pointed us in the right direction and then came and did a re connect and full service.
Updated mom on having to arrive the afternoon not the morning. Each time I had to ask a question via the phone. Very quick response. Tried British gas first complete waste if time. These guys surpassed in every way. Will 100% use them to service again.
I've had the awful experience with…
I've had the awful experience with Status. I booked an appointment on 21/12/2022 between 8-12 to fix the warm air heating. I took the unpaid half day off from work. I phoned to Status a few times and they confirmed that the engineer would arrive until 12 pm. After 11.15 pm I phoned again and have been told that I need to pay in advance. Otherwise, the engineer wouldn't come. But why they booked the appointment without the advance payment? Why they didn't inform me about that in advance? When only half an hour left prior my working shift Status said that I must pay before the engineer's visit. Why they lied that the engineer was coming to me when he didn't? It's absolutely shocking experience. Shame on Status.

Awful service called them about heating problem with radiators coming on even though they are swiched off refusing to come out.
Very poor service
Interesting to see other people's comments here. I also found Status to be very poor at communication and the job they did, although completed, caused me so much stress that I've written to the MD. The mess they worked in was unbelievable and they never turned up when they were supposed to. A very dissatified customer - and it cost me nearly 7 grand!
