Here's the Stauer difference: We don't have wholesalers. We don't pay rent for expensive shops or hire expensive celebrity spokespeople. We go directly to the source and make the product ourselves. Last year we bought 2 million carats of emeralds and 9 million carats of amethyst. The local store might buy 20 or 30 carats a year from wholesalers who mark up their product by about 50%. We’re getting the better deal and we pass the savings on to you. Because at the end of the day, true value comes from leaving $1,600 in your bank account and still being able to own one of nature’s most fascinating gems. Stauer is where you go to honor the triumphs of living. Honoring milestones or celebrating the joy and beauty of the love of your life. It’s the story of history, art, science, of man’s fascination with the beauty of nature. We don’t overcharge you for a little blue box; instead we will take you on the romantic journey of a lifetime.

Ordered the Lincoln poket watch
Ordered the Lincoln poket watch. Paid 200.00 Now you would think a 200 watch could at least keep time as a 30 Timex. No way. Watch looses 2 minutes every 4 hours and will stop for no apparent reason. Stauer does not want to repair ignored by customer service.
50 beads!
Fast shipping! Just as advertised! Beautiful necklace! Well made! Secure clasp! Great length! Gorgeous beads! Awesome price! Why are you waiting to purchase??
I bought the copilot watch
I bought the copilot watch. And I’m actually over the moon with it. To me, the design is timeless. And this is not the only watch I will buy from Stauer. I’ve only got my eye on the 1930 And another one.
The best company ever!
We have been buying from Stauer for years, and their quality has remained true. I had been eyeing the Murano Cornaro necklace, and when it came back in stock, I jumped at the chance to buy it! It is even more beautiful than pictures can capture. Then my hubby bought me the Mitsuko organic pearl necklace for Valentine's day. It positively glows. I have also been searching for the ultimate pair of penny loafers. Again, Stauer did not disappoint. They are Italian leather, made in Italy, and perfectly fabulous!

Most poorly constructed and worst quality I have ever seen or worn, fell apart.
My elderly uncle has gifted me several pieces of jewelry from Stauer. It is some of the worst quality I have ever had. What is worse the produce has broken, ($1000) gold bracelet and they would not repair unless I purchased a warranty. My uncle is in cognitive decline and would not understand if I tried to explain to him not to ever order from this company again. Wish there was a way to let more people know how poorly made and flimsy all the products I have recieved have been.
Purchased a centurion hybrid watch in…
Purchased a centurion hybrid watch in July 2021 which just stopped working was replaced in April this year now this one has stopped working customer service said this is not covered for a year surely it's a brand new watch and should be covered by a years warranty customer service were rubbish do not buy one of these watches
Strap is not fully adjustable
Lovely looking watch but strap is not fully adjustable unless you bend the links if you buy the watch especially the bluestone really
Nice looking watch but if you need to take any links out good luck you will need pliers ,hammer,at least two screw drivers to pry the links appart
Jewelry very disappointing!
I purchased a meteorite bracelet. It fell apart. They did replace it. The second one fell apart too.
Purchased a Man of Steel bracelet. The flimsy lobster clasp bent to the point that I was able to catch it just before to fell off.
Jury is still out on my watches. Fine so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Christmas orders (early) not filled
Christmas orders (early) not filled. when I complained they sent one small tiny item they had in stock (money clip), charged me $29 shipping. Merchandise is often very cheesy. Iam lobbying NRA to stop selling them advertising space. STAY AWAY FROM STAUER.
Two Watches, Dial hands died after two years.
I've had the 2 Stauer watches I bought, have the analog dial hands die, just as the two year warrantee expired...2 years, 4 months. Replaced the batteries, the digital readouts still work, but no dial hands. Stauer won't replace them. The Timex watches I've had for 15 years still work!!....So far Stauer is striking out!!
I have never ordered from this company…
I have never ordered from this company and despite emailing dozens of times and telephoned them they insist on inundating me with their rubbish brochures. I wish they would stop
Purchased the Jetsetter
Purchased the Jetsetter
chronograph for $29.95, added up to $49 with S&H. Poor quality and quality control. Chronograph minute hand won't zero and clock second hand misses the marks. Chronograph numerals on bezel are wearing off on my shirt cuffs after two weeks of wear. Warranty return costs $29, payable upon return for repair. The watch is probably a $9.95 value.
I knew about Stauer going in
I knew about Stauer going in. So, I went ahead and got the "$300" watch for $30 (+ $15 S&H). So far, it has kept very good time, even though watch geeks call it bottom-of-the-barrel bad Chinaesium.
I don't expect it to be durable and long-lasting, but for $30, it has performed well and looks more $$$$ than it is.
If it lasts a year or two, I'm not going to be upset over a $30 expenditure.

Bogus Gems
I am a (now retired) jeweler and gemologist with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificate. I owned a jewelry store in New Jersey and did free gem identification for my customers. I had gemological equipment: microscope, refractometer, polariscope, dichroscope, spectroscope and more.
I wrote 69 newsletters mailed to my customers over 23 years with a variety of topics, some of which were about gemstones. Stauer runs ads for "Diamondaura" which it touts as "The ultimate Diamond Alternative."
It says that Diamondaura is clean and colorless and "in purely scientific measurement terms, the refractory index of these stones is vey high, and the color dispersion is actually superior to mined diamonds."
First off, the term is refractive index, not "refractory index." The ad foolishly gives the actual measurement of dispersion, the difference in refractive index, how much the gem bends light, between red and violet light, .044 for diamond and .066 for Diamondaura. Bingo! only cubic zirconia has .066 dispersion.
The ad also states the hardness of both diamondaura and diamond as "cuts glass." Just about anything will cut glass, including a tooth, since glass is very soft.
Refractive index determines brilliance. Diamond is 2.417, cubic zirconia is 2.15-2,18
A DiamondAura ad was so irritatingly bogus it inspired a gemologist colleague of mine to call the company. Brandishing her credentials as a Phd scientist and gemologist, she was able to get the company to admit that “DiamondAura” was actually cubic zirconia.
This article about the ad that inspired a gemologist colleague of mine to call the company and get them to admit that “DiamondAura” was actually cubic zirconia had some interesting consequences.
As usual, I posted the newsletter, Holiday ‘05, for download on the web site, and thought nothing more about it.
In November, 2005 I got an email out of the blue from a criminal defense attorney in Texas. He had a client accused of some sort of gemological fraud. He had read the article in the newsletter and wanted some more information on diamonds and diamond imitations.
When I got my web site statistics I noticed that traffic had tripled, due to downloads of the newsletter and 450 people had used “DiamondAura” as the search term that brought them to the site. When I googled DiamondAura, the link to the newsletter was on the first page. So people who searched for DiamondAura were treated to a second opinion.
Then I got three more emails, from a woman in California and two men in Texas, saying they had read the newsletter article and had decided not to purchase DiamondAura.
In January, 2006 I got a phone call from a couple in California. They had bought DiamondAura under the impression that it was actually man-made diamond and had taken it to a number of jewelers who had told them it was cubic zirconia. They were mad. They called the FBI and complained and sent them the newsletter article. Cool!
Then there's "helenite" which Stauer claims is green glass obtained by melting ash from the eruption of Mt. St. Helens in 1980.
The GIA found helenite to be man-made glass, containing little or no volcanic ash. They melted ash from the volcano and it came out black. Especially telling was a huge difference in melting temperature between their ash glass and helenite.
knife is stainless
knife is stainless, damascus blade it pattern welded, easier to go to carazy crow and get your own kinfe making kit
SAD DISAPPOINTMENT
I bought a Chipaway Bowie knife plus a Land of the Free folding knife and am very sadly disappointed in both of them. In checking, could have bought them cheaper (still not worth the price) on eBay.
No more from this company.
Usual Far East rubbish
I bought my watch for £100 through a Newspaper advert 4 months ago but haven’t used it because the strap was way too large. Following COVID lockdown I was finally able to get the strep shortened. Although the watch keeps time the date is not centred so the left digit on dates 10 to 31 cannot be seen. The hand on one of the smaller chronograph dials resets to the right of the 60 dial. Seems all Stauer watches appear fancy in their brochure but are the usual cheap Far East manufacture. My fault for buying on line. Recommend avoiding buying this brand.
I'm pleased with my purchases
I placed an order in December 2020 for several pieces of jewelry consisting of several necklace pendants of diamond aura stones, a diamond aura set consisting of a necklace, bracelet, and earrings,(that came in lovely packaging), and a ring that is silver with moissanite stones.
All the jewelry is beautiful; the stones sparkle and the moissanite in the ring are gorgeous.
I learned of the company because my dad has purchased jewelry from them for years and expressed how much he likes their products and prices.
I did experience some delay in shipping on a few pieces that were on backorder, but when I contacted the company customer service was very helpful, and they even sent me a coupon I intend to use for more moissanite jewelry as I own several pieces that look beautiful after years of wearing.
