SCAM do not give them your money

SCAM do not give them your money! I booked Paris Staycity via booking months ago and I checked in online the day before we arrived. When we got there we discovered our reservation had been cancelled due to them over booking. They probably do this all the time. The guy on the reception basically told us it wasn’t his problem and we needed to find somewhere else to stay. It’s also located down a grotty smelly alleyway. Just find somewhere better to stay!

Stayed at Staycity Birmingham for 1…

Stayed at Staycity Birmingham for 1 night,,,What can I say, A Really Fabulous experience in terms of Customer service from 2 outstanding Reception staff members, notably the bubbly lady Celia at Reception was Excellent, very Professional and extremely knowledgeable yet friendly and very welcoming !
The second was Yasmine who checked us in , a very close second to Celia..
I was very impressed by the quality of service received and useful advice given by both...They definitely deserve recognition and a pay raise!!!
Will be returning in the future when visiting Birmingham again, a much better experience than staying at Travelodge Bhx..

Amazing service

I recently stayed at Staycity in Birmingham for my birthday, and I had a really great experience.

Yasmin at reception was absolutely amazing—she was so kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She kindly allowed us to check in early, which was such a lovely gesture and really made my day, especially as she didn’t have to do that.

She explained everything clearly and made sure we were comfortable and had all the information we needed. Her friendly attitude and excellent service really stood out and made our stay even more special.

Thank you, Yasmin, for making my birthday stay so memorable and giving us a late checkout! Appreciate it, God bless Yasmin! X

Paid for breakfast that was not received or refunded

I made the booking with staycity months before our stay and paid for 2 breakfasts when i booked the room. When we arrived at staycity for check-in i had forgotten about the breakfast (and it wasn’t mentioned during the check-in process).

We never received the breakfast and checked-out none the wiser.

The day after our stay i received a confirmation receipt via email which listed the breakfast which jogged my memory. I called Dalston staycity to ask for a refund and was told to send an email. I sent an email - no reply. I called again 4 days later and was told to send another email which i did. The following day i was finally told that the breakfast WAS delivered and that they can’t give me a refund.

So apparently i was lying about the whole breakfast thing just to get a £13 refund…

Overall really poor experience all round. Won’t be using staycity again or recommending them…

Staff ruined this stay especially Jamie

I recently stayed at Staycity Aparthotels Manchester Piccadilly and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing overall. The apartment itself was acceptable and reasonably comfortable, although it did feel quite cheap in places and not as high quality as expected. However, the main issue was the conduct and professionalism of the staff, which completely ruined our stay.

We had paid for and confirmed a late checkout in advance, yet a member of staff named Jamie entered our room and asked if we were checking out. This was both intrusive and unacceptable, especially as we were fully entitled to remain in the apartment. There was no proper respect for our booking, privacy or basic customer care.

When I challenged this at reception, Jamie’s attitude was completely unprofessional. He was smiling and appeared smug, responding with “Well, I knocked so,” before looking back at the computer and continuing to smile. This dismissive and arrogant behaviour only escalated the situation. Two other staff members present — a man with glasses and frizzy black hair and a female colleague — appeared to find the situation amusing, which was deeply disrespectful and reflected very poorly on the team.

What made this even more concerning was that Jamie appeared to be in a managerial or senior role. If this is the level of professionalism expected from management, it raises serious concerns about training, leadership and customer service standards at this location.

The accommodation itself was passable, but the staff attitude and lack of professionalism were unacceptable. Because of this, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this hotel to others unless there are significant improvements in staff conduct and customer service. This situation needs to be addressed urgently.

They didnt clean the room.

I had a company book a room for me thats fine, but then i decided to stay longer and booked it with my own money totally separate thing. I went down and said hey no need to change my room just clean it, in their policy they state if you stay less than 6 -7 days they dont clean it. But imagine i literally booked something different ,differnt id etc ts supposed to be new and clean room. Staff they re-assured that they will clean it i just need to tell them that i booked. Room never got cleaned, i went down and the only thing they gave me was towels. I left a bad survey and the admin came with the usual company fluff we are sorry but we remind you that the policy says if you stay less we dont clean the room. Wake up ! its a new booking! I should just have went to another hotel. Also this place is overpriced for that they offer. I used the Dublin market street hotel.

Bad service

Bad service, unfriendly staff. Booked a room with 2 separate beds, the gave us a room with 1 small bed. People that just walk in can get one. Seems to be the policy first come first get… not helpful finding a solution. Wanted to pay for an upgrade not possible! Maybe next the morning… they don’t know how is checking out yet maybe some people want extend their stay was the answer! Never again!!!

Couldn't ask for more

We've just stayed in the Luverpool Waterfront hotel apartments. On arrival the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. We was given a complimentary drinks voucher as it was our Wedding Anniversary. Rooms have got everything you need fridge, dishwasher, hob, toaster, iron & ironing board. We also used the on-site parking which was reasonably priced. The bed was lovely and high up. And if you read my review Stay City Liverpool, can you please tell me where I can purchase one of these beds. Lovely design. The Robot cleaner was boss as well.

Staycity Birmingham

Staycity Birmingham
Needs lots of improvement, the team need better leadership and expectation setting.
On the second night, I was awoken to banging on the door from a male employee demanding I open the door to discuss a "finance issue". When I calmly informed him that 11:30pm was not the time or place for a male employee (which at the time was unverified) to be harassing a female customer, he ignored me shouting through the door. This was deeply distressing and completely unacceptable (also, there was no finance issue).
The room was not cleaned on the day it should have been and the team seemed to spend most of their time socialising together at the reception desk.
Room was very noisy with thin walls - constant banging from doors and cupboards slamming late at night/early and sound of feet running up and down corridors and rooms.
I tried to call the central customer service line, but there was no answer - I left a message and no one has called me back.
To top it off, I've just received a feedback survey on my stay and the first page has a spelling mistake.
StayCity, you need to do much, much better

Staycity Birmingham

Staycity Birmingham. On arrival I asked about parking and was told I had to pay as wasn't covered when booking. Asked them to double check as booking is a corporate account and parking charges are included, but still wouldn't accept. Had to contact booking firm who had to speak with hotel staff who then agreed. 2nd day asked if car park was available and entered vehicle details in the reception and was given the code to park vehicle. During the week ordered a pizza and sat in seating area 15 mins thinking pizza was coming but then got told they run out and no pizza available. Beware of parking in their carpark as parking fines coming through after 1.5 weeks. According to hotel this is a glitch in the system. Even when hotel has charged for the parking. I'd not recommend this hotel and I'm certainly never booking this hotel again.

Hidden gem near Liverpool Street — loved it!

Stayed at Wilde by Staycity for a weekend trip and honestly, I was super impressed. The location is perfect — right near Liverpool Street Station, so getting around London was a breeze.
The room was spotless, modern, and had everything I needed — a comfy bed, great shower, even a little kitchenette which was a nice surprise. It’s clear they’ve put thought into the details — things like proper blackout curtains, plenty of plug sockets, and really cozy lighting.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which makes a huge difference when you’ve been traveling all day. I also loved the vibe of the place — stylish without trying too hard.
Only minor downside: the room’s not massive, but it’s London, so that’s expected. Everything else made up for it.
Would 100% stay again. Perfect mix of comfort, location, and value. 👏

Don’t bother with their B/fast Bag !/Staycity Dalston, LONDON

Staycity Dalston, LONDON

Don’t bother with their B/fast Bag !
1. Their B/fast Bag is expensive and the contents is insufficient to feed a sparrow!
I also experienced INITIAL problems when I complained about the B/fast menu etc.
Please don’t expect a cheap full English Breakfast – even a small one.

2. If you scan the QR code in the room – the reply comes from AI. Hopeless!
The only way to contact the reception desk is to use +44 7562617592 (UK 07562617592)

3. The room was clean. It’s a very low bed – almost on the floor. There should be additional information about using the stove/cooker – especially for safety reasons. Scanning the QR code produced no result.

4. I talked to the friendly person on the reception desk about the above issues - which might now have been referred to the manager, however I suspect that the practical suggestions given - will not be followed up.

Only closed windows

The staff at Staycity City Centre Dublin are incredibly friendly and kind, which made my stay pleasant in that regard.

A big downside was that the room had no window that could be opened. I really missed having fresh air from outside. Additionally, there was a constant humming or buzzing noise—kind of like a zoom sound—that was quite stressful to hear throughout my stay. I reported this issue multiple times via the hotel chat, and they directed me to a control panel to try and fix it, but unfortunately the noise sometimes stopped and started again very soon. I think it's terrible to hear this all the time.

I stayed in Staycity Birmingham on 8th/9th March '25

I stayed in Staycity Birmingham on the 8th/ 9th March '25. Booked parking with my stay as advertised by the Hotel. Two weeks after my stay I received a parking ticket. £90 all in. To start with the hotel said they would deal with it. As it stands they have now washed their hands of it as its a private parking company. Its basically a scam. Don't bother with this lot plenty of other hotels in Birmingham that you will much better customer services and some after care!
