Thank you Trustpilot
Thank you Trustpilot! I have to say Sapphire had a great presentation and I didn’t feel pressured to buy. Everything they presented sounded fantastic and a real opportunity to enjoy vacations not just for me but for my entire family. When the wife and I left we had lunch. I got home and decided to see what Sapphire locations were available. Lucky for me the first thing I read were these reviews. My heart sank past my nether regions. I was in a panic and looked up my contract and found a cancellation page! It stated we had 5 calendar days to submit a cancellation form in person or my certified mail with proof of delivery. We decided to do both. We rushed to the post office and mailed off the form and followed up two days later with an in person visit. We got our cancellation form stamped! Thank you all for the reviews. If not for my curiosity and this website I’d be stuck!
Avoid This Scam!
Avoid This Scam!
My wife and I were suckered into signing up for what turned out to be a total scam. The salesperson grossly misled us regarding how the membership actually works; the reality is nothing like what we were promised during the pitch. It's a worthless "product". We have been fighting to close our account, but Sapphire just gives us the runaround. We are tired of this company and its awful service. Stay far away, it's nothing but a headache.
I would advise everyone to stay away…
I would advise everyone to stay away from Sapphire Resorts! This timeshare company promises nothing but lies and then forces you to purchase! They made everything sound good, but everything was a lie. I have never even used this, but I am continually pressured to upgrade. I was told that the cost would be only $20 to upgrade, but I was charged $2,000! They know how to make everything sound good and then force you to purchase, but it is all lies! Do not fall for it! If I could give negative stars. I would!
Sapphire Is a Scam
I have felt nothing but lied to by Sapphire Resorts. They presented to me something that has not at all been reality. Nothing was disclosed to me accurately. Their sales representatives were persistent and not at all transparent about the terms of agreement, the cost, and the future obligations. I have been billed multiple times for the maintenance fees when I was told those were annual. This has presented a significant amount of stress due to the unexpected charges and higher-than-promised maintenance fees. I was led to believe that I was purchasing an investment and that I could rent it out to cover the expenses. That is not at all true. I have never even used this to vacation, and I just want to be let out of this timeshare lie that I was sold. Sapphire has been of zero help to me in coming to a resolution regarding this. Take it from me, DO NOT sign up for anything Sapphire tries to sell you! They are a scam!

I was initially shown a high-quality property during the presentation, but I quickly discovered that the actual inventory available through this company is significantly subpar, comparable to budget motels rather than premium resorts. It is misleading to showcase top-tier locations when the actual accessible properties do not meet those standards; in my experience, the quality I was looking for is only found through RCI. I am very disappointed in the disparity between the initial pitch and the reality of the accommodations provided.
Sapphire Resorts Scam
I have tried to resolve my frustrations with Sapphire in good-faith discussions, but they are exhausting. From the very beginning, they misled me–all the way back to the initial presentation. I was told at least three separate times that the membership fees at the end of the year would be a static $499. I was told the timeshare would be easy to use and understand, and that if need be, it could be resold without issue. None of this was true. They fed me lie after lie to convince me to sign on the dotted line.
After my initial purchase and rescission period expired, I received a service call at which time it was confirmed that the membership fee would continually increase. I immediately took exception to that; it was further explained to me that the package I had purchased was limited in points and how those points could be utilized. This added to my already frustration in trying to use the timeshare. I indicated a desire to sell and the service representative indicated that "in their experience, it would be much easier to sell my timeshare if I upgraded it." He misled me into thinking I could easily sell the timeshare, which gave me the peace of mind to upgrade, and that Sapphire would assist me in doing so. He preyed upon my reservations and my desire to exit the timeshare, and proceeded to up-sell me on the premise that the upgraded package would sell more quickly. This assertion was not fact, and was a disservice to me. The misinformation provided by Sapphire and its representatives is inconceivably unprofessional.
I have requested that they cancel my contract for their lies on multiple occasions. They continue to assert that I’m to be a lifetime member of a club I want no part of. Sapphire Resorts is not just a timeshare–it appears to be a ring of elaborate scammers who will say and do anything they can to trick people into signing contracts for a product that has proven frustratingly difficult to utilize or book. I would like them to cancel my timeshare and refund their scam.
I am writing this to warn others about…
I am writing this to warn others about the predatory sales tactics I experienced with Sapphire Resorts. During the sales presentation, we were completely transparent about the fragile state our family was in, explaining that our 18-year-old daughter had been murdered only months prior. We made it clear we could not afford a timeshare. Instead of showing professional boundaries, the manager used our loss as a sales tool. He told us he had lost his own son to suicide to build a sense of sympathy, telling us he’d reduce the price so we wouldn't "miss out on making the most of the time with our children here on earth." Under this intense emotional pressure, we were given several pieces of false information. We were told we could access discounted hotel rates ($150 or less for $400 rooms) even during years we didn't have points. We later found out this was untrue unless we "upgraded." We were never told about a 60-day window for "full ownership" until months later, when it was too late. We were promised annual maintenance fees of $511. Instead, they withdrew $607.08 without warning. We were emotionally targeted during our most vulnerable moment. This was not just a "bad deal"; it was deliberate misinformation and emotional manipulation. We are currently fighting to be released from this contract that was signed under false pretenses. Do everything you can to avoid this company at all costs!
Stay Away
I am writing this review to hopefully warn others to stay away from Sapphire Resorts! Doing business with Sapphire was a mistake. Please don’t fall for it! I made this purchase with Sapphire Resorts over 10 years ago and have not once been able to use what they sold me. I have been in touch with Sapphire multiple times about these issues and have gotten absolutely nowhere with them. They continue to try to tell me how to use the timeshare when, at this point, after 10 years and not being able to use it, all I want is to be done with it and Sapphire completely. Along with being told the lie about the ease of using it, I was also told the maintenance fees would not increase that much over time, but they have. All of these lies and deceptions really show the true colors of Sapphire. Stay away and do not do business with this company.
Don’t Fall For It
Take our advice and stay away from Sapphire Resorts! This company is an absolute fraud and will scam you out of your money! We were told nothing but lies from the beginning of signing up. We were told we could rent and make a profit from this ownership, and we can’t. We were also told that our maintenance fees would not go up, which was a lie because they have. Why are we being forced to maintain ownership of something that has turned out to be a complete lie? We have tried repeatedly to come to a resolution by contacting Sapphire directly and have had zero success. We are done making payments to a company that does business this way. They have not provided us with the service they sold us and what was promised to us. Stay away and don’t fall for their scheme.
Let this be a warning to you
Let this be a warning to you: do NOT do business with Sapphire Resorts. This company is a complete and total scam! I have been misled and lied to by Sapphire. I was told everything was easy to book, and that I could book anywhere, anytime. That has not been the case at all! I have reached out to Sapphire to try to cancel my membership. One of the representatives there gave me hope that the company would take the timeshare back. Once I started asking specific questions on how to go about doing this, all communication from Sapphire abruptly stopped. I have been left with no answers or resolution. Stay as far away from Sapphire as possible!
We have been ignored by Member Services…
We have been ignored by Member Services for over 5 month now since sending an email requesting to close our account. It's frustrating that they are quick to contact us for payment but completely ignore us when we reach out with a serious account issue.
Sapphire Resorts has been a horrible…
Sapphire Resorts has been a horrible experience! My family and I have never been able to use this at all. What we thought would be easy to use turned out to be all lies. We were misinformed about the costs and limitations of the timeshare and felt nothing but pressure from the salespeople. Even after I said no, they continued to push. The destinations they offered to us were undesirable, and then once COVID hit, we couldn’t use it, but they still collected money from us. This entire thing feels like a fraud. Then they tried to get us to upgrade. Why would we upgrade something that we’ve never used? To make all of this even worse, my wife was diagnosed with cancer, which has made paying for this even more challenging. I have reached out to Sapphire directly, trying to cancel my membership, and I continue to get denied. Do not do business with Sapphire Resorts
I have paid for this membership in…
I have paid for this membership in full, and I simply want to close the account. I sent an email to Member Services, but it has been completely ignored. We do not want to be perpetually burdened with fees, especially considering this membership is absolutely not worth the high cost.

Bob and Bernadette Sullivent
We’re writing to expose Sapphire…
We’re writing to expose Sapphire Resorts for their shady business practices. We have yet to be able to use their supposed “vacation club,” even once, because it is purposefully designed to be complicated and impossible. When we were sold on this, we were informed once the loan was paid in full, we’d owe nothing–come to find out, we have yearly “membership dues” just for being in the timeshare! On top of that, they increase year after year. We asked that we cancel our timeshare and membership, but Sapphire maintains a position of “you signed a lifetime contract,” which is absurd. We signed a contract for a product we thought we would be able to use. It was blatantly and wholly misrepresented to us, and they need to cancel our contract and refund us entirely. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Sapphire Resorts Scam
We have paid our loan balance to Sapphire Resorts in full, and they still insist that we are bound by contract to a lifetime of membership fees. We have requested multiple times to cancel our membership–their solution to this was “pay us another $2,000, and we’ll let you leave.”
That’s a scam fee. They want to extort us to leave their membership. They constantly pester us with requests that we pay their membership fees, but we don’t plan on paying them anytime soon. When you have a membership to a club, usually the membership closes after you cease payments. Sapphire seems to have a different view of this: they think everyone should be a member for LIFE. We don’t plan on ever using our timeshare, but even if we wanted to, it’s convoluted and difficult to use. They need to do the right thing and cancel our membership.
We were unfortunately misled and…
We were unfortunately misled and trapped by misrepresentation into signing a contract with them, which was a significant error. Their customer service is truly appalling, making it impossible to resolve issues and leaving us feeling entirely ignored.
Despicable treatment
Despicable treatment, unethical practices!
They deserve 0 stars. I’m constantly being hounded for payments even though I’ve reached out so many times to ask for help and explained my situation. They lied just to get a signature, promising fixed fees that they didn't honor; it was nothing but a FARCE. I’ve told them I cannot afford to keep this up, but they are holding me hostage unless I pay a massive balance for a service we never used. My husband passed away, and I’ve sent his death certificate to try to remove his name, but they won’t even do that!! They are unethical and have absolutely no respect for their customers.
Sapphire Resorts Lies
Sapphire Resorts has been a scam since day one. We contacted them to attempt to cancel their absurd loan and increasing membership fees, but they informed us that the contract they tricked us into signing was a lifetime binding contract. We’ve since done everything we can to try to exit their scheme, but time and time again, they hold firm. We were told we would get affordable vacations–that this would be an investment in our future. Instead, it’s an investment in their wallet. They are a shady business and you absolutely should NOT do business with them.
They are a terrible business
They are a terrible business! Despite having paid our membership in full, when we emailed Member Services to cancel, they demanded a $2,000 fee just to close our account!
Sapphire Resorts SCAM!
Sapphire Resorts sales representatives will say anything they can to get you to sign up for their timeshare. Don’t be fooled–they’ll call it a “vacation club,” but this is absolutely a timeshare. They sold us on their resorts being pet-friendly and beautiful, showing us a variety of resorts that actually belonged to RCI. When you sign, they don’t tell you it’s a lifetime contract, either. Then, they lock you in for a huge interest rate loan and membership fees that increase every year. We want them to cancel our contract and membership, but they keep saying “there’s nothing they can do,” as if they don’t have the ability to close one of their own contracts. They’re liars, they’re crooks, do not do business with them.
