Overall, good service and nice place with high quality bikes. I was a little disappointed, however, that my brand new bike developed a front wheel alignment issue within a week or so from purchase. I took the wheel in, however, and they corrected the problem promptly.

I ordered the big calendar for the 3rd year, and the shipping was very quick this year. Love the calendar and this year's format. Great service.

SVB worked very hard and communicated well to get a steel bike I ordered to ship to the USA. They even gave me a discount on shipping. Great communication and the bike was packed well. They even included extras like a vintage bike book, calendars and new bar end plugs for my bike purchase!

I bought new brake hoodies for my 1974 Bottechia bike.. They came to my house in about a week from Germany to Wisconsin, USA.
These are excellent reproductions with original insignia for Universal Brakes out of Italy..

Super Service, super Bike.

First off let me say that the company's communication is excellent. As soon as you put in an inquiry it is answered ASAP. They are also very friendly.
This is more of a cautionary experience that may or may not relate to other customer's experience.
I ordered ITM scatto handlebars from the SVB's website. They were branded exactly like the ones I am replacing. Exact same markings. I ordered size 44cm (mine are marked 44cm and measure 44cm from centre to centre and 42 cm from tip to tip.
When I received mine they were marked 46cm. I inquired about my order. They got back to me quickly but stated that their 46 measure 44 centre to centre and 46 tip to tip so when you order 44 you're actually ordering 46. Somehow what seems to be the exact same product is totally different.
What this means is that ordering vintage bike parts online is iffy at best and when the company is far away you are really taking your chances. Not anyones fault necessarily but when you can't see it up close you never know what you are going to get.
My suggestion would to be to put all the dimensions on the website: Tip to tip as well as centre to centre ( I couldn't find tip to tip).
If I lived close I would use SVB's again but given the distance, cost and chances for mistakes I'll take a pass next time.

The general experience has been very good, with first competent answers to questions on the item I was interested in and then a very quick shipping process. The impression has been one of reliability and competence.
