Absolutely appalling scamming…

Absolutely appalling scamming disgusting Chinese business once again trying to scam pretending that it’s a Melbourne based company owned by an old local couple that is finally retiring promoting a sale. The items are completely different to what the images are showing, I’m trying to return the item and now they’re asking me to return it back to China even though the items were sent from a Queensland warehouse. Complete scammers another disgusting Chinese rip off products.

A scam site - be wary

I was persuaded to this online seller by a Facebook post. The “story” about being beaten down by bigger companies and being forced to close seemed reasonable until closer inspection revealed that they still had full stock of all items on display - strange for a company about to close. The photo of “Emma and Liam Carter about to retire” is a stock photo from the web of a retired couple on a beach and the photo of the impossibly good-looking staff in the non-existent store in Melbourne is clearly AI generated. So, a visit to Trustpilot revealed the true story - another Asia based scam. Very professional but a scam nonetheless. Agree with other reviewers: be very wary.

The order arrived and the boots are completely unwearable as I cannot even get my foot into the boot despite it being a size bigger . The returns process…. Well basically your given a email that they don’t respond to and ask for delivery payment which will never happen as they are still yet to respond to the email !!! $69 down the drain !!! Absolutely appalling ! They are NOT based in Melbourne but Asia !!!!! A pure rip off !!!!

Same here like all the other reviews

Same here like all the other reviews. Cheap nasty plastic look-alike remakes of the shoes you see on the website. Feel silly as I did not research the company before I ordered. I think the word "Melbourne" gave us the indication that it would be a honest Company. And the lovely story about 'closing up shop after so many years' was another cute anekdotal fact=NOT
Yes watch your bank accounts, now they got your details. Soon after I got a phone call from "PPal" where they warned me about $800,- outstanding or some rubbish. Do not order.

Same as other reviews

Same as other reviews. This company is not from Melbourne and is total BS. I ordered the vintage cowboy boots and received a totally different cheap and nasty pair of Chinese rip offs. They weren’t even the right colour. I’ve launched a report with PayPal as of today. I knew when they took so long to come it wasn’t looking good. I’m so sick of these companies scamming us.

Like the other reviews I too thought…

Like the other reviews I too thought I was purchasing a pair of stylish, vintage style cowboy boots from an Australian company that was closing down due to retirement. Instead I received boots that did not look like the photo, were hard as a rock, slightly different colour to the photo, have a very strong chemical smell and were shipped from China. I emailed their returns email address only for it to 'bounce' back to me as 'Undeliverable'. I paid $139.90 for two pairs and put a dispute in with PayPal yesterday. Now Stepora were quick to respond; offering a part refund of $34.90. Which I am declining. Be careful people they are a total SCAM

Fake Leather Boots

I saw their website on line and it was a very Aussie looking couple saying they were closing their shop and selling down their stock. I saw a pair of suede /leather distressed looking cowboy boots. They were above the ankle style and slouchy well worn in looking boots. They were just what I was looking for so I snapped them up. They were also reduced from $169.99 to $69.99. What a bargain I thought. They arrived today, fresh out of China. The synthetic smell was overpowering when I removed them from the bag. They are fake suede; not leather at all. In fact they look nothing like what was advertised on the website. The style is different and I can’t even get half my foot into them.

I am absolutely furious as I purchased these thinking they were from a shop in Melbourne as the name of the shop is Stepora Melbourne.

I’m not even going to try for a refund as Chinese companies pretending to be a Melbourne shop are definitely not about to refund anything.

The biggest scam site ever was charged twice on my card without my authorisation. Numerous emails to them and they refused to refund my money.

The so called boots I ordered arrived today vinyl rubbish that smelt like petrol, I wouldn't even let my dog wear them. Off to the bid they will go.

Brynn Orthopaedic Mules

The shoes I ordered but ended up with were a total abysmal let down. I ordered the "Brynn Orthopaedic Mules" size 40. What I got was the stamped size 40 but two sizes too small plus they were not the nice suede expected but a cheap knock off of an inferior fabric. Disappointed and deflated. Never again. You just get sick of these China advertisements that look great but absolutely rubbish.

Thought l was buying a dress from a store in Sydney Australia.
My parcel took so long to arrive and when it did it was poor quality.
When l asked for a refund l was offered 20% discount which l refused.
Was told it had to be mailed to China? at my own expense.
Do not buy from Stepora or Nelly Nolan Sydney.

Bad in so many ways. Website is a scam. Not Australia company like it says. Not shutting down and clearing stock like it says. Boots I got are cheap and nasty and look nothing like online. Customer service is awful. DO NOT BUY!

Absolute SCAM WEBSITE

Absolute SCAM WEBSITE. Ordered 4 pairs of size 41 shoes. After numerous contacts they finally sent them and they were a size 36. Completely plastic, not leather at all.
Then I had just received a call from a man pretending he's from my bank's Fraud Team advising that the card (that I used for Stepora, brand new card ... only 1 transaction on it) was being used illegally and I need to send money back on my card to get reimbursed! What??? I hung up and called my bank immediately. Stepora collects your info and then sells it to scammers. Watch out please.

Cheap plastic shoes - scam alert

Cheap plastic shoes, not orthotic, china based - a scam.
* Update* Stepora are clever though. Because they provide an address for returns and offer a refund, Visa terms don’t accept a dispute of ‘product received, not as described’. This little loop hole means that consumers aren't protected. My bank, who have been good with scams in the past, also wouldn’t hold up the dispute because of this.
The best outcome (and believe me I tried it all) is to complain to Stepora until the refund amount gets up as high as possible. I managed 45% - which they did refund. And then try to forgive yourself for adding to landfill. :/

I got a fake tracking number a month ago, and every time I email them they tell me I will get it in 7 days (nothing has happened) I have raised a dispute on PayPal and they have sent the same fake tracking to PP as well.

Beware. If they don’t fit, no refund available.

I bought a pair of shoes from this company calling themselves Stepora Melbourne.
I always take a size EU 44. The shoes arrived about two weeks after I placed the order and they’re way too small for my feet even though I ordered the correct size.
Returns are impossible.
This company is a scam
