Early delivery of sofa

Bought a sofa and Sterling said unfortunately it won't be delivered before Xmas 2025, low and behold we got it 1 week before. There was an issue from the supplier in that the wrong cushions arrived with sofa, informed Sterling and they sorted out. Good company to work with and great customer service.

Two Faulty Sofas in 10 Months - Appalling Experience with Sterling Furniture Aberdeen


I purchased a leather sofa from Sterling Furniture Aberdeen (Bridge of Don) on 26th August 2024, and was told to expect delivery in 12 weeks. In early December, I was informed of a shipping delay, and the sofa finally arrived on 23rd December - just in time for Christmas.

Within Days, I reported multiple faults including a misaligned electric headrest. A technician confirmed the issues, and the sofa was returned. Despite this, I had to continue paying monthly whilst the replacement process began!

Rather than reorder the same model, I chose a completely different sofa, hoping this time the quality would match the price. Again, I was told to wait another 12 weeks.

The second sofa arrived on 23rd June 2025 - and UNBELIEVABLY, it was also faulty straight out of the box. Major defects were visible immediately. I submitted photos as requested, but Sterling's management offered no accountability and no explanation.

They simply picked it up and refunded me - no compensation, no goodwill gesture, nothing!!

Nearly a whole year wasted. Two Defective Sofas. SHOCKING Quality Control and complete lack of customer care.

**AVOID STERLING FURNITURE ABERDEEN AT ALL COSTS**

Fantastic customer service!

Fantastic customer service!

We visited the Abz Sterling branch yesterday to look for some new sofas for our upcoming move. We had a very clear idea of what we wanted in terms of style and comfort, but also had a maximum budget in mind, and I was initially concerned that Sterling could be out with our price range. However, the current Spring Sale offer meant that we could purchase two beautiful sofas within budget. As we also added in a dining table and 4x chair set, the order was further discounted by Jason and Aaron, which we are very grateful for. Jason initially greeted us and talked us through fabric options etc before handing over to Aaron for the rest of the sale and both were very helpful and knowledgable. Aaron in particular was very clear when talking through the pricing list and explaining what the benefits were for taking out the 5-year care policy. It made an expensive experience very easy and painless, so thank you! I'd also like to thank the rest of the staff on the shop floor for being so friendly to my toddler when he was initially roving about.

nicoletti suite

Order a nicoletti suite, cost over £5000. Got it delivered 3 weeks ago. Moved it today to hoover and all you hear is a screech, look under and here instead of a plastic foot is a bare bolt! And my laminate scratched. When we looked over the suite, as we haven't used it and been away. We discovered numerous faults with stitching, staples, pitting etc, duly reported. Contacted trading standards that advised that because its less than 30days we are entitled to a refund. But no you want a "technician" to look at it even though we sent over 20photos. It's a poorly made suite that won't last over 12 years like our other suite. TS also said they need to sent the inspector within the 30days or we can "reject" the suite. Also phoned the furniture ombudsman.
Ive got a progressive lung disease and told the salesman that it better be a good suite as this would probably be the last one I buy and better be comfy. Looking for a stressfree conclusion to this fiasco. Never had an experience like it.

New flooring

Great sales and measuring service kirsty very helpful in the shop no rushing us and had samples sent out to us. Bridge of Don store.
Unfortunately their installation people are letting the service down, or 3 to 4 week wait us now going to be 3 months. Had we known this we may not have made these purchases, we may have looked at service elsewhere.
