  1. Seed Supplier

Written by the company

We see it as our mission to fill your life with colour, beautiful home-grown flowers, home-grown food and the joy of growing! Our founders Iben and Trevor both have a lifelong passion for plants & gardens. Iben started her career as a Landscape Architect in Copenhagen & Trevor started as an Estates Gardener after studying Horticulture at Writtle agricultural college. This passion for plants & gardening has grown (excuse the pun!) and culminated in the launch of Stocks & Green in 2021. Iben & Trevor hand-pick our range, featuring their favourite plants to grow from seed. Whether for cut flowers, vegetables or herbs - there is a mixture of old favourites and some new varieties that bring something unusual or different to your garden. Our HQ in East Anglia features a series of trial gardens, where we test different varieties. We regularly grow many of the varieties we sell - so that we can photograph them, demonstrate how they grow and illustrate our website & catalogue. Concerted efforts to be eco-friendly means that wherever possible we pack seeds & orders in materials which can be easily recycled (many can go directly onto your compost heap). As many materials as possible were recycled to start with. We are a small independent business based in the UK, and we really do appreciate all the support we get. Every individual order will bring a squeal of joy, you have the power to do that! Happy growing, Stocks & Green :-)

Fantastic company

I am so impressed with this company! I bought seeds from them ages ago, which had an excellent germination rate and I meant to review at the time!

Recently purchased again from them, as they have a brilliant and unusual selection or seeds and heritage seeds. Fantastic service from this company ordered seeds on Tuesday were here within two days. Fabulous! 💓

Five stars all round, brilliant company🫛🌷💕

Website a wow!

Firstly,I must say,I am sad to read theres concerns about low germination and just a few seeds in some. I wont know whether the ones I bought are ok until next spring! Fingers and toes crossed they flourish.
What I can give is 5 stars for the website, partically as they have some unusual seeds like watercress and rubarb!
I think in the case of watercress its got to be the habitat they grow in but I am going for a rainwater pond with a filter and gravel bottom so wish me luck!

Underwhelmed

Bought loads of seeds at a show last year, chose Stocks and Green for the variety and range, because I wanted a specific colour scheme. Had poor germination from some and poor growth from others, even the likes of calendula and aquilegia. I've really only had any success with nicotinia and pingpong scabious. Some packs had few seeds.

Always a good service!

This is my first stop for seeds. The website is beautiful and well organised and always lots of information about the products. Delivery is quick and seeds are always well packaged. I don't have a very big garden and can get a bit carried away! but I always get lots of compliments on the flowers and plants from friends and neighbours 😊

Poor germination

I have purchased a variety of seeds, the only seeds which germinated where the common standard variety of sweet pea, pea, salad, courgette and borage but really disappointed with lack of germination of other lesser known varieties which are the main purpose of using this company. Also some packets contained very little seed. All very disappointing.

Really good quality seeds and excellent…

Really good quality seeds and excellent germination rate. I have bought a few flower seeds from them and all of them germinated, even the ones I bought in sale! So I will definitely be buying from them for next year.

Very pleasing

I bought a number of packets of seeds over two orders. They arrived quickly and, pleasingly, came in fully-recyclable packaging. I've not sown the seeds yet, but they look to be in great condition.
