No nonsense, practical training delivered by Simon and Kate.

Well run days shooting, perfect for those with little experience of game shooting. Friendly, relaxed and welcoming hospitality.

Only thing I would suggest could be improved would be that communication could be a bit more structured and proactive.

purchased a couple of pegs on a game day (season 2019) good value for money and a great day had by all. Would definitely book through Stoneycairn again

Recently purchased a puppy from Stoneycairn and would highly recommend. Very thorough and straightforward experience. Excellent standard of litter and comes complete with a high standard puppy pack. Support given since owning my pup has been wonderful also. Can't wait to book in some 1-2-1 training sessions

Simon and Kate are really helpful in there gundog training and create a friendly and enjoyable environment in which to learn. Also great hosts of events and shoot days, never without great humour. Would happily recommend to anybody.

Stoneycairn are a very caring supportive dog training organisation who also care and give advice on the dogs welfare, I cannot wait till I can start training my puppy.

Simon & Kate are fantastic at what they do, me and my youngest daughter have been going for over 2 years now, with young and older dogs weather this be 1 to 1, or group sessions, it is always tailed to suit all occasions.

It says everything that in normal times I’m more than happy to travel for over an hour to train with Simon and Kate at Stoneycairn .
1-2-1 and group sessions are always informative and FUN for both dogs and handlers. I love the way they come at problems from different angles to find a solution.
In these strange times they are happy to help with any problems and queries - hope to be allowed back there soon.

I have known Simon and Kate for nearly 4 years now... I had looked for dog trainers to help me train my working Labrador for months moving between different trainers but none of them made me feel particularly welcome until I went to stoneycairn. I drive approximately an hour and a half to train with Kate and Simon in group sessions, one to one sessions and for residential training, I am always made to feel welcome and would say that we have formed a very good friendship beyond that of just business.
Both Simon and Kate make an effort to address any training problems I may have and help with problems over the phone also.

Stoneycairn we great in responding to my email query promptly. The jacket and trousers they sent were very good quality and exactly as described. I’ve really enjoyed wearing them

Visited these guys a few times with my new Clumber pup. Despite the dog being very stubborn, both Simon and Kate helped me with simple but effective ways to get the dog working in the way I had hoped! I am looking forward to going back now that he's been introduced to live game and I am confident they will be able to help him further. The whole setup is very relaxed, well thought out and extremely welcoming. Couldn't ask for more!

We are fortunate enough to use Simon and Kate of Stoneycairn for all our sporting bookings. We have always been very well cared for from initial enquiry through to feedback after ours days. Each and every day we have booked has been carefully planned and nothing is too much. I'd urge anyone to use their services.

If you do intend on joining one of their fantastic shoot days we highly recommend asking for their fabled 'sausages in a bread loaf'.

Fantastic Training, Advice and Products. One hour with Stoneycairn gives me more than several hours value at other providers. Always helpful and understands that all dogs (and their handlers) are different so the approach needs to be tailored.
