Google. What the hell is going on with your prices?? Google hardware was always great value for money but now, it's got out of control. It's ridiculously expensive, especially compared with Amazon. I'... See more

For staters I would give a zero star…
For staters I would give a zero star rating on my experience. I would also like to add that its not the tech that Google offer but the support they give, or not give is more aligned to the truth. I was an advocate of the Nest Heating Thermostat way before Google aquired them. Its a great system to use for my home, however, after many years its gone wrong. I have been speaking to Google support for 17 days trying to get a new thermostat. I have raised maybe 20 tickets and beyond the initial call center where you are able to speak with someone, 99% of all other contact is via email. Once a ticket is raised Google state that you would hear back in 24 to 48 hours. This is not alsways the case and its unbelievably fustrating. Having a back and fourth with 48 delays inbetween is pathetic in this day and age. Added to this they do not really understand that I have no heating or hotwater control for all this time. They see themselves as a tech company, one of which sell headphone on the same Google store as products which are used for heating. They do not care enough that I have had no control of my heating or hotwater for over two weeks. To add insult to injury, due to the time Google have so for taken, I can no longer buy the Thermostat as the product is out of stock. I Have asked when stock will be replaced and they do not have an answer. These 17 days have been hell for me and my son. I still have no idea when I will be able to get a replacement. The last weekend I have been quite unwell and all this back and fourth with silence inbetween and having no conrol of my hotwater and heating is making be have heart pulpatations. There is also a great deal I have not said on this review. I caution whomever, please consider when things go wrong. Google do not care for wellbeing and health. Its a piece of tech to them and do not really understand the complications when a thermostat goes wrong. Its considered the same as a phone or headphones, and I can assure you its NOT. Please can someone help me overcome this nightmare.
Repair scam
Sent my Google Pixel 8 off for repair of a manufacturing defect. Was told there was additional damage but they refused to send any evidence such as photos. I suspect they were trying to cover the cost of the warranty repair or turn a profit. Do not send your phone to Google for repair without taking multiple clear photos of it or they will scam you!
Appalling support from Google
I've ordered a pixel 10 with a trade in estimate of £421 for my existing iPhone. Immediately I made the payment the trade in value for reduced to £157. No evaluation was done as I didn't even send the device to evaluation yet and without even checking the IMEI or the device the price reduced. I contacted Google support and they didn't help so I had to cancel the overall purchase. Google Support team lack knowledge and also they are unhelpful and unprofessional. They don't respond

I believe it is immoral of Nest to set a time limit in which employees are allowed to opt out of the Nest pension scheme. Who are Nest to withhold peoples own money from them?
Employees should be allowed to do what they want with their money and their pensions.
Employees should be allowed to withdraw their money from Nest whenever they like. IT'S THEIR MONEY.
Poor advise from Google Support for 1+ month..
My Pixel 6 device bricked after an update; Used an official Google repair service who quoted £450-550 to repair. Didn't go ahead, spoke to Google support who provided me with a 20% discount code for their store (no specifics, or terms & conditions provided with the code).
After speaking with 3-5 advisors from Google Support, they advised that I will be able to use this code to purchase a Pixel 10 device once their current promotion of £100 store credit on purchase is finished (11/09/2025).
The code is still not working after they stated it would work.. they have now turned around and told me this is for older devices only and I have now missed all promotion benefits for the Pixel 10 after receiving false advise for a whole month from their own official support team.
They will not budge on this, they are a JOKE.
Don't buy anything here
I ordered a charger on August 21 and it was supposed to arrive on August 28. I never received it. I contacted Google Store customer service about 5 times, and they still haven’t refunded my money. Instead, I just got another email today asking if I had already received the charger, which shows they have no idea what they are doing. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. This has been a complete waste of time and money—Google Store is not trustworthy.
Google money grab
Since google bought Fitbit their customer service is nonexistent the software does not work and the older Fitbit products are not supported. Probably a money grab by google but not supporting existing products for a company you bought is bad business. I will never by any fitness products associated with google
paid more and waited 2 weeks
My pixel 6a had a battery issue, and I could choose cash compensation or google store credit. I wanted to buy a new pixel, and google store had a price match, so I though the store credit was just easier. Big mistake - Google store treated my legal compensation for a faulty phone as a discount, and thus decided price match does not apply - which just does not make any sense. So not only did I have to wait for my phone for 2 weeks, I also ended up paying more than I would have elsewhere.
Ordered P10pro XL
Ordered P10pro XL on 01.09. and received on 09.09. even there was some issues with my bank. Google kept my order in place, gave extra time to resolve my issue with my bank. Agents were helpful! The new buds works perfectly with the phone, and it was the easiest transfer from my 7 Pro. Thank you.
Order delayed
Order delayed, delivery dates changed, no updates only able to see dates changed is by going to the order page. Customer service chat specialists are useless .
Don’t buy
Don’t buy, look nice but on our second one and keeps breaking - losing WiFi connection after 6 months use. Really poor AVOID AVOID AVOID
Fitbit has gone to the dogs
Fitbit has gone to the dogs. Constant problems syncing. Reconnect the device and restart device time after time and still the same problems. I thought Google were tech savvy? The only explanation is that they are trying to kill the brand. I will never buy a fitbit product again. It has it has become no more than an expensive wrist-watch.
Worst customer service ever
It’s hard to believe how bad their customer service is. My 2 month old Fitbit charge 6 died, and it’s now 3.5 weeks and I still don’t have a replacement. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Please someone, come out with a competitive device.
My plumber sourced and installed a…
My plumber sourced and installed a Google nest. 3 weeks ago it broke due to a technical fault. It's a well know software fault with the Google nest when Google have decided to keep selling defective products on the market as its cheaper than destroying all of their bad stock. First of all it stopped connecting to the Internet, then it lost its own wall mounted based and wouldn't charge. Now it charges back up and powers back down continuously. Still can connect to the Internet. Still can't controll my central heating.
Google also don't allow you to call or email them. They make you interact through Facebook and twitter which is absolutely ridiculous! I raised a complaint on 25/08/25 and it got completely ignored. I tried to raise a new complaint last night and they told me my old one is still active so I can't. Then claimed the active complaint dates back to 2021 which is ridiculous as I didnt own a nest in 2021.
They have refused to help me further and advised me to wait for an email which after 2 weeks I dont think is ever coming.
I want this rectified and as they are refusing to help me as we enter winter with a 22 month old and a pregnant wife in the house. Not to mention my own health issues with chronic asthma I don't know where else to turn other than to trading standards and trust pilot reviews.
The reality is I would like to remove this system completely from my property and charge them for the pleasure but I will have to speak to a solicitor about the possibility of that.
DO NOT BUY A FITBIT - THEY NO LONGER WORK
Fitbit used to be so great but because they are killing it off they’ve basically made it non functional software wise, while still charging.
I had an inspire 2 for a few years that was awesome and helped me so much in my fitness journey. After a couple of years it stopped tracking my exercise. I assumed this was related to the age of the device and upgraded to the inspire 3. Only to find out that no it’s not device related it’s the app and the software!
My brand new Fitbit doesn’t track my exercise AT ALL. If I manually log exercise (which kind of defeats the purpose anyway) it deletes from the app. So with my shiny new expensive device I now apparently do ZERO exercise.
It also does random stuff like tells me I’m overtraining when I’ve been in bed for a week with covid! Or tells me I’m being lazy because it won’t store any exercise.
If you read the Fitbit community forums or Reddit you will see EVERYONE is having the same problems. Just wish I’d read them before I paid for a new one!
My Fitbit suddenly forced an update…
My Fitbit suddenly forced an update that it cannot complete after all the troubleshooting steps they tried to sell me a new device when there is nothing wrong with the one I have but apparently they are forcing me to buy another one, or at least trying. So a tech support call turns into a sales call and they failed that too. Never buy a Fitbit.
Don't buy a Fitbit customer support is exceptionally poor
I have owned quite a few fitbits and when there has been a fault there has never been a problem replacing it , till now with Google bought a Versa 4 and it was great to start with but now it loses its memory when you recharge it , so I contacted support what a nightmare asked what the problem was so I explained then told me to send a video and I did on their link then asked to verify my Google account and I did and then asked again and again . It seems like they are just trying to make you give up . Last time I buy a fitbit
I bought a pixel 7 from google store…
I bought a pixel 7 from google store after i had a pixel 2 and 5. The 5 had a charging issue with 99% of various cables and when tried to fix it, phone completely died and couldn't be repaired. I thought it was just a glitch with that phone. I bought pixel 7 and exactly the same thing happened with this after 2 years. No wonder why they give oy 1 year warranty. Will never buy any Google product ever again. Scam and waste of money.
Changed delivery dates after order
Much like lots of reviews, Google store are selling products they don't have stock of. Item ordered and given a delivery date only for this to be changed days later to much later date and told it is down to stock levels.
A joke such a large company cannot allocate stock to orders when they are placed to ensure customers get Thier orders on time.
Customer service is useless and un willing to help.
Fitbit the worst product I ever bought
