Some people were dissatisfied with the product itself, citing buggy games, hardware issues like scuffed lenses or flickering, and problems with game functionality. Best place to game

Best place to game, you won't get the selection anywhere else, although they could add the ability to change your actually account username as you can only change the display name.

Steam is great when it works

Steam is great when it works. But lately the inventory feature, trading feature and so much more is just down most of the day. The whole inventory lags. Really really bad experience lately, but there is no alternative. So GG

ZERO customer service !

Steam has a policy now where they accept payment for items but, should any problems arise, will not offer even the most basic customer support.
I have been a Steam customer for years and, after this latest issue, I will never be buying anything through/from them again.

Steam is amazing

Steam is an amazing PC games platform that allows you to buy and play games through their services. They have great customer services, and are always happy to help.

Steam has to be one of THE WORST…

Steam has to be one of THE WORST platforms out there. Payment of any DLC is prohibited because you are not in your country of residence, even if you are. By the time you are tired of the nonsense and decide to contact customer service, you first get spammed to no end with messages that spending money will get you access to things. Obviously this is a no go, because you could not spend money in the first place. So you need to select your country of residence, but Spain is not on the list because it no longer exists and no one lives here. Guess CV19 did a real number on it... Anyway, I just closed the whole thing and will be switching to rockstar or one of the other platforms. Not sure they will be any better, but they sure won't be worse. My friendly advise is just to avoid steam alltogether if and when you can.

Bugs galore and no apologies

Besides the constant bugs inherent in Steam as compared to any other gaming platform, whenever it goes down they just stonewall you. No announcements, nothing. Zero respect for people.

Steam allow scammers

This is a real bad site that allows scammers to play around. I was recently a target for a API-scam, which means someone could hack my account even though I have mobile authenticator... They could log-in to my account and change everthing on my account. They managed to steal all of my inventory which had a value of close to 750$! I contacted support and they won't do anything. They don't even ban the account who scammed me! They just got away with it without any ban... I have no longer trust in Steam or their bs support, becuase they are as much scammers when they don't act. They wouldn't help me get my inventory back even though I had enough proof. Please don't use steam and don't buy inventory items.

Gotta love the negative reviews.

been using steam for years, across multuple computers. really just wanted a second review on this trust piolet thing so came to steam but i gotta say.

Gotta love the negative reviews. most of them are just people who got banned and are complaining or peolple who didnt refund in time,

when a products only negative reviews are because of comsumer error, you know its good

Never had a problem with Steam!
I've bought many games over the decade and never a problem.
There has been a few times where the games I've bought haven't matched my expectation and Stream have always refunded the same day. Great!

No support for paying customers.

Once upon a time I had an issue with Steam Guard.
It did counted as active for one part of store and didn't counted for another.
I tried to reach customer support with my problem.
Wasted three weeks trying to persuade them that it's an issue indeed and that I really need help with it.
No success.
The conflict escalated: I tried to reach their Legal Dept regarding lack of service (it's against our country's laws).
The conflict continues... like for 2nd year - and my problem is still not resolved.
0/10 least competent customer support ever. Will abstain from buying anything at their store.

The best PC gaming store!

This is by far the best PC gaming store and the only go to place!

I have been a Steam user for 15Years plus but an active account for 10Years (I was using a friends for a while)

If the game is not on Steam then I tend not buy it. Only specific reasons I’ll buy if not on Steam.

With Steam it’s a platform you have an account, download the client and all your games, saves, profile is stored in one place.

You can download the client on any PC and your details follow you once signed in, so you can pickup and resume where you left off due to cloud saves.

No need for finding drivers to install to play a game, you want a game? You purchase it or activate a key, it adds to your library and then you press download, once downloaded you press play and Steam will then install anything it needs to play the game, then start, done. Super easy and simple to use.

Once done, it saves your stuff to the cloud with all achievements etc. It also has trading cards, badges, huge sales, profile customising, biggest platform, friends chats with calls, messages etc even remote play app so you can play the games on your phone or any device with remote play for free at no charge.

Steam is the go to gaming platform with the biggest range of games on PC to date. It’s huge and something like 3K games are added each month (mostly indie crap but still, some people might like them)

I’ve had an issue and submitted a ticket to the support, they’ve helped me pretty quick. Sometimes longer than normal but still I’ve got my answers and if they cannot answer my support, they’ve pointed me on the direction of who can.

Steam has a lot of features that are just to good to pass up. If you are a PC gamer not using Steam then something is wrong with you... if you are gamer looking to get into PC gaming, then Steam should be your first choice.

Steam mobile services

Mobile application service is quite bad, I tried to link my account to my phone number so I don't have to wait for 15 days for trading anything but it just does not send the verification text to your mobile and keeps asking for the code, my steam market is blocked for 15 days now, and I would have to wait 15 more days after the block is lifted because of not having mobile authenticator and as they do not send any confirmation code to my number i cannot enable mobile authenticator
