Absolutely atrocious and inefficient

I wouldn’t even give them one star. Prebooked a cab to take us to coach for Heathrow and it didn’t turn up. I was told they never guarantee prebooked cars - so what is the point of prebooking?? I’d even checked with streamline I was leaving enough time to catch the coach and was assured I was. You cannot run a taxi business which means people miss flights. This is not the first time I have been let down by them. I should have learned my lesson. Will never use again and advise everyone the same.

If your pre-booked taxi being punctual is important to you - look elsewhere!

I should have read other reviews first. I booked a taxi for 8-30 a.m. the following morning as we needed to catch a train to the airport. At 8-35 a.m., no taxi - so I called Streamline. To my disbelief, I was told that there were no taxis available in our area - so it would be at least 10 or 15 minutes. So what the hell is the point of pre-booking?!? I cancelled the cab and eventually managed to get one with another company - but we still missed our train. The firm's website talks about their history. Being Brighton "born and bred" and getting on a bit, I do remember the days when their taxis were shiny black with cream bonnets. Like the cars, the drivers were always immaculately turned out, always polite and ALWAYS ON TIME for a pre-arranged booking. Perhaps Streamline need to turn the clock back.

Not sure what’s happened to this…

Not sure what’s happened to this company. Used to be so good. Now they turn up very late every time, even when I pre-book. Not point in dealing with a taxi company you can’t rely on. I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on. Such a shame.

Unreliable as a person reliant on Oxygen

I phoned to say I needed my taxi earlier to take my daughter and I home waited for 10 minutes or so as no taxi I was told that it would be another 10 minutes. I told them that I was partially sighted and reliant on oxygen. They said they would make my priority. Waited another 10 minutes or so still waiting and my daughter and I saw at least 6 taxis go past so phoned again and with a sigh the operator said well we have no taxis in the area and I reminded him I was running out of oxygen and was crying but the attitude I got back was that he couldn’t care less and tough luck I would have to wait. I had to call an ambulance as I could hardly breath and got a friend to pick up my daughter. I’m appalled and disgusted at the way I was treated. They just don’t care about the person that needs a taxi

staff refusing to take job because its a short distance and requires large car. im disabled. horrendous service

im a disabled student trying to move several large bags down the road. I have been kept waiting an hour.
last guy said its also because its short distance. clearly their staff just dont want to take the job because its not a long distance away. im diasabled and cant walk the stuff.
im stuck out here with my things and they keep saying 10 to 30 minutes.
my calls are recorded so I have the last phone call of them being rude as well as the one before where they just hung up on me.

completely unacceptable.

Unreliable to the point of uselessness

This company is too unreliable. Even taxis booked well in advance may fail to turn up. Recently a wheelchair-friendly taxi booked to take a disabled relative for an afternoon out turned up over four hours late. Ten minutes I could understand and forgive; four hours is taking the proverbial. The afternoon was ruined and relatives who had travelled down from Hertfordshire to enjoy a day by the sea were not happy.
Phoning the cab controller is no use, they just say they're busy and have no idea when the taxi will arrive. Unfortunately the above experience is not a one-off. My advice would be to avoid this company and use Uber, or the bus.

Wish there could be a zero review

Taxis can run late if there is no availability in the area.. this is understandable.. and it happens.. but the last three occasions we have needed a taxi.. the driver or the office are just rude and abusive?.. when asked for a name its answered with "I don't have to give you anything".. there's no professionalism or respect.. just stay away or use a different firm.. not worth the agro..

Can see why 75% reviews are bad

Can see why 75% reviews are bad. Gotta be the worst taxi service ever.

Every time I've booked a cab I've been told it will arrive in 10mins, ring up 15mins later to be told one hasn't even been dispatched & will have to wait another 15mins.

I'm heavily pregnant & this taxi service are diabolical. Will not be using them ever again

Booked a taxi back from Greyhound…

Booked a taxi back from Greyhound racing . Booked it 3 hours previously . Taxi didn’t turn up . We missed our train . Phoned them they said would be 10 mins . Called again told another 20 after they hung up on me . We had to walk in the end as would have missed last train home . Luckily we flagged another taxi down . So caught train by skin of our teeth .

Unproffesional Service Avoid

This review is by Kevin Roberts. If I could give 0 star I would. Appauling service. I pre booked a taxi for 1130, 30 Apr 22 in order to catch Train. At 1135 hours, I rang control office as taxi had not turned up, informed by controller they wete trying to find a taxi even though I had pre booked. I booked taxi through another company, however received text message at 1249 stating taxi was outside my address. 1 hour 19 minutes sfter pre booking time is totally unacceptable and reflects the unprofessionalism of this company. Avoid at all costs.

I can’t give a zero review. I live in Hove and after my last journey home AVOID this company. Phone a private company for your journey, this outfit employ rude unprofessional staff. Shame they have such presence in our city. AVOID

Fed up with this company

Fed up with this company. Every time i get in these filthy run down cabs I wonder how their allowed to run a Buisness. They are the rudest people I have ever come a-crossed. They don’t welcome you, don’t talk to you, don’t say thank you, and they constantly go the wrong way, and have no clue where the destination is. This company needs a major shake up. Need a cab do not ring this vile company. Lived in Brighton all my life and never in my life seen a taxi company go so down hill so fast.
