Speculative Tickets and Dubious Legality

I was sold tickets for an event that were not even on sale yet and nowhere on the site was this disclosed. I paid a markup of 230% after the fees, and StubHub does not provide refunds, only letting you re-sell the tickets. When you re-sell the tickets, they get to add additional feels to the tickets being sold, so they keep winning. They hide behind fine print that states that "we cannot promise the legality of the tickets being sold". They'll claim to refund you if the tickets do turn out to be fraudulent, but by that time you're probably at the event, and what should be a fun experience is just a miserable one.

Tickets blocked / already used to enter

We had two tickets for the game between Hamburger SV and St. Pauli in the German Bundesliga - tickets worth 178€, but paid 553€ as this was a present for my father.
When arriving to the stadium our tickets were blocked and at the ticket office onsite they informed me someone else had entered with the same tickets just 20-30 minutes before we arrived. We were there almost 2 hours before the game to start, so it seemed like someone knew they had to be there when the gates opened.
We went from Copenhagen in Denmark, and had booked a hotel in Hamburg - so had other costs to cover, not just the tickets.

Still haven’t heard anything from Stubhub.
I would not recommend anyone to buy from this platform!

Panic over

I must admit, I was in a panic after seeing the other reviews of this platform (after purchasing). I recently went to the Westham vs Lille friendly and the tickets worked fine and the seats were as described. Can’t complain and received the tickets a few days before the game.

Don’t take risk

Very poor service overall. Communication was unhelpful, and the process caused unnecessary stress. I would not recommend and suggest staying away.

Oasis 30.7.25

Purchased Oasis @ Wembley tickets on Monday morning for the weds. Received a call from Stubhub asking me to confirm I had SeeTickets app and then within an hour I had the two tickets sent over. Bit nervous turning up to the turnstiles after reading some reviews but everything worked absolutely fine. Really happy and would use again, thanks

Stubhub Football Tickets.

I bought a ticket for a Liverpool game earlier this year on Stubhub. All was confirmed but when I arrived in Liverpool I received a message that my ticket had been cancelled. I had to go to a dingy pub, where I collected my “replacement” ticket in a room above the pub, where three guys, about 25 mobile phones and a large wad of cash were based. And the seat I was given was nowhere near as good as the one I paid for.
I have complained to Stubhub via email and they have been nothing short of useless. Complete silence for the last two months. I paid for a service that I blatantly didn’t receive and Stubhub seem to have no intention of redressing this issue.
DO NOT USE STUBHUB TO PURCHASE TICKETS. EVER.

Parking Tickets

Parking Tickets: Don't buy them there with an event. Somehow they allow the reseller to provide bad information, i.e. "less than a mile from event" and non- refundable type tickets as well. In addition, a cheap $7.00 ticket was given for s $25 purchase suggesting it was " premium parking". I worked with their chat service, but it was more lip service than actually doing anything.

Stubhub international is a compleate scam

StubHub International is an absolute scam, and I’m warning anyone considering using them: don’t. I bought tickets for two separate Gold Cup matches and received nothing. No tickets, no solutions, just endless runarounds. Their customer service is completely useless, they’ll waste your time telling you all the things they can’t do while offering zero actual help. Every time I called, I was told “someone will follow up,” but no one ever did. This isn’t just bad service, it’s deceptive business. They took my money and delivered nothing. Avoid this platform at all costs.

Denied Entry to Event – No Refund or Accountability

I purchased tickets through StubHub in good faith, only to be denied access at the event. I followed all instructions to request a refund, including submitting the required affidavit — within the timeframe they provided. Despite this, StubHub rejected my claim based on vague and shifting reasoning, claiming my affidavit “wasn’t validated” even though it met the requirements.

When I attempted to clarify and comply again, StubHub told me I had missed the deadline — even though they caused the delay by changing the goalposts. I received no replacement tickets, no refund, and no real explanation. Just a closed case and zero accountability.

StubHub promises "FanProtect," but in reality, the customer is left carrying all the risk. I was left out of pocket, and the handling of my complaint was evasive and dismissive.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious when using this platform.

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLE OF A COMPANY!!

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLE OF A COMPANY!!! AVOID!!! Would give 0 stars!

They do not tell you of the issues that may happen if you use your apple email… though it caused us to lose our tickets 2 hours before the concert started. This seems to be a very common issue, I think a lot should be done preventing people signing up this way if it causes issues? Thank god we didn’t fly to be here but we’re still at a complete loss now.

I will happily name Shayla to be the worst most useless customer service agent I have dealt with. It was very obvious she never took on board or actioned anything we asked when we called first thing this morning… and so when we called back an hour and a half later to hear our tickets had been sold to someone else. She was very standoffish very difficult and was only alert and listening to what we were actually saying after we lost the tickets.

We had then been offered tickets with no view, limited sound with no refund at all. We suggested tickets available on the website that were right next to ‘ours’, we were denied these. Presumably because these were 3 tickets and we purchased 2.. money hungry but completely incompetent.

Our first time using this American, unknown company and will be our last. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like an ear full will be happy to provide. You clearly do have my number on which you could have contacted me to begin with…

HORRIBLE SCAM COMPANY

HORRIBLE SCAM COMPANY. NEVER BUY FROM THEM.

They sold me fraudulent tickets. I drove four hours to the show to be denied entry at the door. StubHub is refusing to refund me because I didn’t call them then and there. For the record it was midnight and I was able to purchase other tickets at the door. They told me repeatedly that there’s nothing they can do. I asked if I could speak to someone else and they ignored me multiple times.

Apparently they are full of scams. I will never buy tickets from them again.

They certainly don’t seem interested in keeping their customers, only in making money.

Do not trust stubhub.ie

Ordered tickets for the IIHF world championship and we never recieved them.

The day prior and day of the event they reassured us that the tickets would arrive. When I asked if I should cancel the hotel I was told not to worry.

Just prior to the event we were told the tickets were not going to be transfered. They provided no alternative tickets.

They offered a refund, but we have traveled 800 kms and paid for hotels. There is zero compensation for this.

1st and last time I will use stubhub.ie.

AVOID!

AVOID!! Bought tickets for the last game in Goodison 10 months ago. I requested that StubHub guarantee the seller was legitimate and they assure me they were a frequent seller. Flew to Merseyside from Ireland with my 8year old only to be rejected entry due to invalid tickets!!! I cannot express how bad this was! I will never ever use this SHAM COMPANY again

Don’t use!

I purchased tickets from Stub Hub for an upcoming Premier League game. I subsequently received an email from Stub Hub stating the tickets had been delivered and could be downloaded. On clicking the link the tickets were marked as cancelled. I contacted customer service and have been provided a variety of contradictory excuses and promises of when the tickets would be delivered, but still no tickets. I would avoid using the site as they take your money (in this case over €800) and leave you with nothing I return. Also they keep talking about replacement tickets that can be delivered but these still haven’t been offered. A complete joke!

This is a scam website

This is a scam website. Flew from the US to watch a premier league game and the seller cancelled the ticket. I made repeated emails to the customer care team months leading up to the game to verify if the tickets were still active and they said I am still good.

Their guarantee of a replacement ticket is not a guarantee. There were several other tickets available for my game but they were much more expensive than the ones I had got and they refused to give me those tickets.

Stay away from Stubhub international.

Hope

I bought tickets thinking that stubhub.ie was the same as the UK version. After purchasing Manchester United tickets, I realized the mistake. I panicked, but there wasn’t much I could do at that point. I considered disputing the charge with my credit card, but I had to wait until I returned to my country.

Meanwhile, I also needed to sell some tickets (West Ham vs Tottenham) because the match date had changed, and it was practically my only chance to sell them just one day before the game. I felt like I had nothing more to lose.

The app told me I’d receive the United tickets one day before the match, but luckily the seller sent them 5 days earlier, which helped ease my anxiety a bit. My biggest fear was showing up at the stadium and the tickets not working, missing the United match, and not getting a refund either.

In the end, I successfully sold the Tottenham tickets, got the money in PayPal, and withdrew it. The United tickets worked perfectly at the stadium.

I’m writing this review to give hope to someone out there. I believe the system fails mainly because there’s no way to fully ensure the tickets you receive will be valid, which makes the whole process quite risky afterward.

I Won’t do it again, lol.

No Protection for Sellers

Do not use Stubhub. I had bought tickets for an event in Madrid last year but when the time came around, I could no longer attend. As I am living in a different country and could not give the tickets to someone in the area, I decided to list them on Stubhub so that they would not go to waste. That was my mistake. I purchased the tickets directly from the event organiser for the Saturday and Sunday just past. I got an email on Tuesday morning to say that the order had been cancelled by the seller because 'they received the wrong tickets'. No they did not. I immediately got on to Stubhub customer service and after about 20 minutes was told that the tickets were invalid and the purchaser was refused entry. The tickets were not invalid and I provided Stubhub with evidence of this. I had not attempted to sell or provided any other person with copies of the tickets. I'm then told that they will have to escalate the issue and that it can take 45 business days! On top of that, this morning I was charged €180 euro as the order was not fulfilled. I have disputed this charge but again a response can take 45 days. This is entirely unacceptable and if I do not receive a satisfactory response I will be taking legal action given that I work in legal practice myself. I fulfilled my side of the contract in providing valid tickets and yet Stubhub has offered no proof whatsoever of the issue with the tickets. There is absolutely no protection from Stubhub for sellers. It has now cost me more money to sell the tickets than it would to not have attended in the first place. Also, Stubhub has removed any trace of the order from my account when I log in so I cannot even verify the details. I will never use Stubhub again and would not recommend anyone to do so. This is supposed to be a reputable company.
