When deciding to start Stud & Stone one of our main reasons was to stop the cycle of throwing out your favourite jewellery after only a few uses because it would lose its colour. Our pieces, by being waterproof, mean that this will be a distant memory. However, please keep it away from chemical materials such as perfume. When your jewellery does get wet or dirty, clean it with a dry cloth and leave it to air dry. Product material Stainless Steel Did you know Stainless Steel is 100% recyclable? Some of its main components (chromium, nickel and molybdenum) can easily be separated from other materials, making the recycling process easy. Besides this, stainless steel is one of the least energy and resource intensive metals: being necessary to dig only up 2-5 lbs of ore for every 1 lb of iron and using only about 20-30 MJ/kg of embodied energy (according to an MIT study). And it isn't toxic, by itself. Packaging Our packaging is made from 100% recyclable card and as part of our zero waste policy we also include reusable jewellery bags to keep your jewellery safe.
