Several years ago when I needed exchanges they were very accommodating and made it easy.
If your looking for hard wearing or heavy material that wont snag or bobble, these probably arent for you. But if your looking for breathable sportswear that stays in place, is comfortable and is a little different then you cant go wrong. I got about a year or wear from a short set being worn weekly in the pool, sauna and steam room. They didnt develop holes or tear, or split at seams, just became a bit worse for wear looking on the bum. Ive worn the leggings and shorts for gym, walking and running, again no issues at all. The long shorts are also good for avoiding chub rub under the likes of a shirt dress. They wash and dry fast. The shorts or leggings with pockets hold a plus size phone no problem (and securely), plus a zip pocket for key/gym pass.

Took ages to arrive/swimsuit loke material
Took ages to arrive. When I emailed to find out about my order I found out that one of my items was a pre-order. The other one wasnt a pre-order so I was disappointed that I had to wait several weeks for both items. When they arrived I thought the prints looked amazing but I was disappointed with the quality. They are like a thin swimsuit material and I feel they do not match the price i paid. The bra/crop top has no shape or support. Too expensive for what it is.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really pleased to hear you liked the prints.
Just to clarify for anyone reading, one of the items in this order was a pre-order item, which has a stated lead time of approximately three weeks. This is clearly shown on the product page before purchase. When stock items are ordered at the same time as pre-orders, they are sent together unless a customer asks for the stock item to be dispatched separately. I'm always happy to do this, customers simply need to email to request it.
We also exchanged several emails before dispatch to confirm the order details, including the bra choice, and the expected delivery timeframe was explained at that stage.
Regarding the fabric, my printed sports leggings are designed using a performance sports fabric, which is intentionally lighter and breathable so it works well for running, gym training, fitness classes and other high-movement activities. This differs from our thicker premium or winter ranges, which are designed for a different feel.
I’m sorry the style didn’t meet your expectations, but if there had been any issues with the items themselves I would of course have been very happy to help arrange a return but as I've not heard from you I assume you are keeping them which is great

Hi Carmien, Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad the delivery was quick, but I’m sorry you felt disappointed with the exchange process.
Just to clarify for anyone reading, I absolutely do hold stock for exchanges once a customer confirms what item they would like. In this case the leggings purchased were from the winter clearance section, where stock was extremely limited as these are end-of-line items.
During our conversation it became clear that the issue was actually that the wrong product had been ordered, as the customer didn’t want winter leggings at all. I offered to send the next size up in the winter style so the correct size could be established, but this was declined because the customer didn’t want winter leggings.
I also explained that there were many standard leggings available on the website that could be exchanged for, but as the original items were heavily reduced clearance products, the alternatives were from the regular range.
The items were returned and the refund was processed immediately upon receipt.
I’m sorry we couldn’t find a suitable alternative on this occasion, but I do genuinely try my best to help every customer where possible.
Excellent Quality, Attractive Designs
I am delighted to have found Sturdy by Design leggings. The fabric designs are so attractive and unusual, while the quality of the fabric and manufacturing of the leggings are excellent.

Who does like a vibrant legging
Never purchased from sturdy by design before, so being such a big spender brought one pair in the sale, adorned in some lovely union Jacks and a lucky dip pair, which were covered in green, pick and lilac stars.
fit its good, the toggle is great at keeping them in place.
The colours are great, means I don't have to don Hi Vis. they are comfy and dry quickly. Will be returning to buy more.

I bought 2 pairs of leggings and the patterns are lovely. Unfortunately they are not squat proof as advertised. Both pairs fold over on the waist band.
