Cricket bat Repair - Duncan Fearnley Magnum
My Duncan Fearnley Magnum cricket bat had split in the body of the bat. I brought it into Sturdy Sports and the gentlemen who repaired the bat did a fantastic job with the repair. It looks close to new again. Thanks so much for your time and effort with the repair.

Abby was such a legend and a great help, helping me find a new cricket bat set for my game, and told me how to prepare my new bat
Bad Warranty
I purchased a top-end cricket kit bag from Sturdy Sports for $218.99 about 5 months ago. Unfortunately, both sides where the cricket bats are stored have already ripped. My previous bag cost half the price and lasted me 5 years, so I’m really disappointed with the durability of this one.
What’s even more frustrating is that Sturdy Sports only offer a 3-month warranty on cricket bags, which feels unreasonable for a product at this price point. I expected much better quality and support given the cost.
Disappointing service
Unlike any other retailer that I’m aware of, they require signature for delivery. You may be able to opt out of this but it was not obvious when you Apple Pay. It was hardly an expensive purchase that should require signature. As most, I work full time and am not at home waiting for packages. It was then delivered to a post office 2 suburbs away for pick up during business hours. Needless to say, I never received and they happily retained the $10 for shipping. I repurchased elsewhere and it was left at my protected doorstep as every other item I order. Of course, I had to pay double shipping. Will certainly purchase elsewhere next time. Customer service was not accomodating and certainly did not offer to resend without signature required.
Avoid this site at all cost, even if it’s cheaper here, there is a reason for it
Their website is pretty funny when selecting a desired weight for the bat. They will accept the purchase regardless of their stock, since they modify the bat to reduce the bat. I purchased a GN Scoop bat from them and they completely ruined it, the bat shape was uneven head to toe. When I confronted them about it, they told me this is what they do and it’s normal practice. These have people have no respect for the customers or the product they sell. Well I never got a refund nor they agreed to return the item. I would avoid them at all cost. If you stumble upon a bat that is sold out elsewhere or cheaper at this website, please move along. There is a reason it’s cheaper, most likely it’s damaged or altered.
Very worst customer service
Very worst customer service. All they do is pretend. I bought SS Master 5000 bat from them. I am a slow and defense player. All my club members "Youlden Parkville" knows about my batting.
After 4 or 5 matches I spotted a very minor crack. I proactively went to the shop and asked for their suggestion. They suggested me to go for refurbish which cost me around $130. After it is refurbished, I just played net session with proper cricket ball for just 5 mins and the bat got broken.
I returned the bat to them and they said they cannot help and simply said bats can even break on 1st day. They suggested to buy another bat offering me that they will give managerial discount. To avoid all this nonsense, I opted to buy another bat, they are neither giving any good discount not a store credit. Instead they are trying to sell another high priced bat. I was very disappointed and left the shop angrily and shared my experience with all cricket mates.
when anybody wants to buy stuff from this shop, please read thru the negative reviews and see whether it fits your purpose. Don't waste your money and time like me. As you can see their emails, the bat prices changes like any thing such as from $600 to straight $300. Very ridiculous yeah!!

Kookaburra Ghost 100
I purchased a Kookaburra Ghost 100 cricket bat from sturdy sports with full knock in service, I have used it in the nets a few times and played my first game today using this cricket bat, all I got to say it what a "weapon" feels nice in the hands, ball pings off superbly compared to my old bat and am just overall wrapped with the purchase, great cricket bat, made my highest score off it today cos its just quality, cheers. Really happy with the performance of the ghost 100.
No warranty for faulty / storm damaged willow
My other purchases from Sturdy Sports have been fine but forget about it when something goes wrong...
A "Pro Players" grade bat I purchased had strange horizontal markings and I was told during purchase that the marks were only cosmetic. Over a short time the bat cracked horizontally and degenerated into a useless plank so I bought another from elsewhere. I learned later it was storm/wind damage in the willow. Because it hasn't snapped, Sturdy Sports don't want to know about it. Forget about consumer law, they make up their own rules. For inexpensive items, fine but for larger purchases I recommend buyers don't risk it and purchase from elsewhere.

Junior Bat purchase
I needed a ready to go bat for my 7.5 year old son who plays under 9s club cricket. The person I spoke to was very polite, but in the end the junior Kashmir willow MRF prodigy bat we received doesn’t fit the bill to me of ready to go. Whilst i don’t require a professional bat, the bat I received is not oiled nor protected with some form of plastic protection which protects it, but I was told it was simply knocked in which I don’t quite understand. If I knew I would have purchased something else. It’s a shame as they have great products. Just ensure when you purchase be careful and clear in terms of communication what you will get.
