Overall an excellent service that has allowed me to connect with a variety of playlist curators, bloggers, and other artists. Have been using for years and would highly recommend for any artist trying to naturally and organically grow their following.

High Marks for SubmitHub New Artist Exposure

I have been using SubmitHub for a number of years successfully. I highly recommend SubmitHub as a low-cost way for independent artists to increase fan base and streaming presence globally as well as receiving important feedback from the industry.

Music as any creative field is subjective so curator responses will vary depending on their preferences for the audiences they are trying to reach. Overall, the declines I have received offer constructive criticism from curators that has helped me fine-tune future releases. The approvals/shares have bolstered my streams and monthly listeners dramatically on Spotify.

As a tip, I find the genre match function very helpful to filter the curators that would be interested in sharing. I think it is also important to read what they are looking for in each listing as well as the number of songs that have been shared for your genre. Even more importantly is to listen to their playlists to see if you really do match. All this is in each curator listing.

In addition, I recently ran a meta-ad for my own playlist in Spotify, and this also has been a big plus for positive exposure.

Enjoying the process of sharing my music.

I don not have unrealistic expectations for my music because the greater audience has a displeasure for AI generated music. But I consider myself an aspiring songwriter and enjoy sharing my lyrics and song arrangments with curators and listeners for honest reviews and possible audience growth. SubmitHub is an awesome and fairly inexpensive way to connect with others through music.

Game Changing Music Promo

For the last couple years, I've utilized SubmitHub for all of my music promo needs. From playlist curation to blog submissions and everything in between, they have a solid selection for a number of genres. What's making me submit this review today is my experiences with working with their Meta Ads campaign. The way they set up their Meta Ads campaign is a game changer. The simplicity of it comes second to none. Specifically, when it comes to running ads to a playlist you made that includes your music, whether its a collection of your songs or a "mood" playlist. It's the best way of feeding the algorithmic healthy data and leaves no risk of any sort of shady business tactics that many playlist companies pull. Especially given SubmitHub's high reputation on top of how YOU control the playlist ads are running to. With all these tools at your disposal, there really is ZERO EXCUSES any indie artist should have regarding music promo. This is, by far, the most budget friendly way of getting new ears on your music. Don't skip out on this!

I’ve used SubmitHub for years and have…

I’ve used SubmitHub for years and have built genuine, ongoing relationships with playlist curators who consistently support my work. It’s always the first place I go when I have a new release, and it’s been a reliable way to generate streams and exposure.

While experiences can vary, I’ve personally found SubmitHub to be an excellent tool for cultivating real connections with curators. Like any platform, you need to learn how to use it effectively, but once you do, it’s amazing. For me, it’s the go-to resource for launching and promoting my music.

Horrible Platform

Badly enforced platform, full of curators fishing for credits and never accepting artists unless it's a popular track already that can make THEIR playlist better. The average share rate keeps lowering and that's the best reflection on how bad the platform is for small artists who just want to connect their music to others. Also, there are so many "curators" that own playlists with not even as much as a monthly listener. They're dead, but somehow out there getting their fake playlists out, effectively scamming artists that pay for credits.

Edit (reply to SubmitHub): I understand the need to reply to the bad reviews as a method to squash them, but this is just misinformation disguised as good PR. First of all, for example, the average share rate was 31% until a few days ago, so 30% is definitely not an all time-high (or a good one for that matter). Second of all, anyone can search curators and playlists and see there are so many with >5 monthly listeners. While, sure, the exact number isn't shown, I can tell with certainty those playlists don't get artists any streams ever, and as I was saying, they are effectively dead. While the number may not be 0, it could be one, and that one user isn't gonna stream the whole playlist. (might as well be the curator streaming it on another account all day). The SubmitHub team could really use these reviews as a warning and check out some of the curators out there that hurt the community, but instead they'd rather kill any bad comment about them and say "they're lies". If I was staff, I'd personally review the stability of the website instead of trying to hide them.

Hi, sorry to hear you had a bad experience. We have a full-time staff constantly monitoring curator behavior and we're working to make it better every day.

Over the years, we've managed to get average approval rates up from 12% to ~30%, so I can say for a fact that the approval rates are *not* lowering over time, thought there is some fluctuation at the top as you've pointed out.

For curators, we have strict requirements about the minimum number of listeners. It's possible you may have seen some very small ones, but they can't properly share to those. You can easily filter the list to see which playlists they do share to and how engaged those playlists are.

Wishing you the best of luck as you continue your journey!

Extremely versatile

Submithub offers really good and versatile services for artists at reasonable prices, some of them even free of charge. Another big advantage is that response times for pitches are fast, unlike with other services.

I’m beyond angry

I’m beyond angry. Groover and Submithub claim to be platforms where “music curators” listen to your songs and give you exposure – but in reality, they’re a well-packaged scam preying on independent artists.

These so-called “curators” often have just one or two mildly successful playlists, and suddenly think they’re music industry experts. Truth is, many of them have no idea what they’re doing. You send them your music, pay $2–5 per submission, and they give you some generic, useless feedback – clearly copy-pasted or barely thought through.

What’s worse: you have no way to give them feedback in return. They can say your song is bad, or not a fit, but you can't say their playlist is dead or their taste is garbage. Groover and Submithub protect them like they're infallible gods, when most of them are just making money off musicians without delivering anything real.

In some cases, they’ll accept your track, add it to a playlist, and make you think something is happening. But 20 days later, they silently remove it. No notice, no reason. Why? Because they never intended to support you. They just wanted your money and to look legit.

Even worse, some curators offer "additional promo services" after accepting your song – asking for extra payments in exchange for fake results. They’ll promise you thousands of plays or new listeners, but they’re just bots, recycled traffic, or irrelevant exposure. Total manipulation.

These platforms are built to favor the curators, not the artists. There’s zero accountability. Zero honesty. And if you complain, they ignore you. Groover, Submithub – stop pretending to help musicians when all you’re doing is monetizing false hope.

I hope more people speak up. Don’t fall for this.

These freaking "CURATORS" should be committed to leave your song in their playlists at least 3 month if they accept it, and GROOVER AND SUBMITHUB, should make em to be compromised to do it!

Hi, thanks for sharing your feedback and sorry to hear it was a disappointing experience for you.

To be clear, what you're asking for is a violation of Spotify's terms. Under no circumstances are you allowed to guarantee placement in exchange for money.

If someone did indeed try to sell you "additional promo services" via SubmitHub I'd appreciate it if you could notify us? That's a violation of our terms, and you'll be refunded & they'll be removed from SubmitHub.

We do not work with any curators who work with bots. And we hold our curators accountable for making sure that they are genuinely curating and promoting new music.

Good and helpful

I'v had significant success on SubmitHub. That said, curators can be a hit or miss. On one hand there a few who give excellent feedback that could improve future work. Others provide feedback that is confusing. To maximize your limited resources, always send your songs to a few curators to get a feel first. Ensure you listen to playlists before submitting. This will ensure you are submitting to curators with aligning tastes.

SubmitHub is a great platform for indie musicians. It makes it easy to share your music by suggesting curators who are genuinely interested in your style. They let you use smart filters to find people who already promote similar genres, and check what kind of music they’ve accepted before. They are proposing tools to check AI generated music and to tag your track accurately (genres) so it reaches the right ears. The feedback is quick, the interface is user-friendly, and it's a great way to get your music noticed without the guesswork.

Excellent Platform for Music Promotion and Feedback

Submithub has been a game-changer for getting my music in front of the right ears. The interface is easy to use, and I really appreciate how transparent the whole process is — from submission tracking to feedback. I’ve received helpful, constructive responses from curators, and have even landed placements on playlists and blogs that actually care about the music they feature.

The premium credits are worth it if you're serious about promotion, and I’ve seen real results from my submissions. Submithub helps bridge the gap between artists and tastemakers in a way that feels fair, fast, and authentic. Highly recommend it to any independent artist trying to grow their audience.
