I have never seen a sh** show sooo shi**y! I wouldn't let this company
water my grass!
Approximately 1.50/2.00 higher then anyone else per gallon. They let me run out the night before Easter while on automatic delivery for 6 years. With a family of 15 guests my holiday was canceled. No confirmation to fill me up whatever for an emergency delivery. It's been 57 days and exactly 4.4 miles away from their location the tank is an eye sore waiting to be picked up on my property.

Don't Do Buisness with Suburban Propane

They overcharged me $1300 on a bill that was $330. It's been over 3 weeks and still no refund. All this company does is make excuses by saying management isn't available. Definitely switching companies.

I never even made it to customer status...

I went with Suburban Propane for the fact that they lease a 500 gallon propane as Blossman was my only other option and they do not lease a 500 gallon tank. This process started in May of 2021. As of of yesterday....May 12th,2022...still no tank. Even called on 05/09 to co firm tank was to be set on 05/17. Was assured I was still on the schedule. Recieved an email on 05/10 that both boom trucks were down and that tank installation might be postponed. But I was still on schedule... So...on 05/13 I dro e to their office...I needed a definate answer if tank was being installed...as I had to dig the trench for gas line. POSTPONED! I drove directly to Blossman a d spent $8500 and purchased a 500 gallon propane. This is one of the worst....worst...worst businesses I've had to deal with. Lady in front office "forgot" when I made contact initally...so was never put on schedule...was willing to loom over that to get the tank leased. But....it has been one thing after another. My tank from loss man was ordered today...will be in their office 1st of June...and on calender for 06/23 installation. Suburban SUCKS! Pensacola,Fl office is a joke....

They are the worst company

They are the worst company, I have ever dealt with. They were going to shut my service over a 140 bill that are not willing to work with customers at all. I’m switching companies as soon as my tank is almost empty. Stay away

Poor customer service with a capital P

Poor customer service with a capital P! Each time I called I learned new things that were NOT made clear to me when I decided to go with Suburban. This most recent call during which I requested a tank refill and line recheck, I was given a 7-10 day service window. Seven to ten days?!?!? (And I always thought the 2-4 hour cable company window was bad😂). I explained that the home needing gas is not our primary residence and that I cannot possibly get to the home on only 24 hour notice (the terms offered) due to work and other commitments. Instead of looking for a mutually acceptable delivery date, I was told I could have extended terms to pay the fee. That was never the issue: coordinating delivery to my GATED 2nd home is the issue. Listening skills sorely lacking in addition to a can-do, we-are-here & care-about-you attitude. I might add Suburban had no problem setting a mutually agreed upon date for the tank installation but now that I’m on the hook it’s suddenly 7-10 days with 24 hour notice??? I’ll look elsewhere, thanks. I think they know what they can do with their empty tank…

Beware, they may try to stiff you too!

The company owes me a refund of close to $1,000 and has not paid me for three months!!

I was a propane customer and while I was on contract the company was fine. When I sold my house the Suburban Propane representative told me my meter would be read the day of the sale and I would receive a refund within a week or so for the propane left in the tank. Well, that was the beginning of January. It is now about ten phone calls and three months later, still no refund!

When I was a customer I pod my bills promptly. Now that they owe me, I get delays and no payment. This is just WRONG! A horrible way to treat anyone, especially someone who always paid them promptly.

Terrible

Terrible, awful, no-good company. Refilled my tank in Nov 2021 without me ordering the propane. I haven't ordered propane for years. They offered to come remove the tank (full of propane I never ordered). Took two months to come get the tank. Charged me a removal and restocking fee when I had the tank removed. Charged me numerous late fees on the propane I NEVER ORDERED. Called repeatedly to try to fix the problem. Now am told I owe money for closing my account. Very frustrating! Do not use this company.

Horrible

Horrible. One problem after another. When you're NOT on automatic fill, then come and fill anyway and then charge you. They put my tank partially in front of the gate to my backyard, unbelievable. I was told the tank needed to be near empty to move it. No problem, DO NOT FILL. They filled THREE more times with me calling every time to ask to take me off of automatic. I was never supposed to be on automatic.
Last year they came out and filled my tank instead of a neighbor and charged me. Once again, they filled last month and billed me again. Find another company.

Suburban Propane are con artists.

I was a customer of suburban Propane and about a month ago I sold my house and moved and propane was no longer needed. When you sell a house you’re supposed to get the difference paid back of what is left in the tank. Well it’s been over a month and I’ve not received it yet. When I called they said it would be another 10-15 because they “forgot to process it”. I got upset and asked for a manager. Of course there is no manager and if you call corporate which I was non politely informed by Anita it will only get sent back to them. So basically they have already resold the propane that I paid for and they have their money but I’m still waiting for mine. They are con artists. I want everyone to know. I’ve always had poor service from them but this is the last straw.

Price gouging

Price gouging. Unfair billing. There is no way, whatsoever, to monitor what these people are actually doing, and they take advantage. They do not fill the tanks all the way, but bill you for it. You place an order for them to come regularly on a schedule, they do not come and then charge an extra $195 to come out on 'will call,' meaning it is urgent that you get propane because the temperatures are 30*, but you've ordered it a week ago. Then they tell you ,
oh, we have been too busy to get to you, but if you pay the extra fee, we can come provide your heat and hot water. Someone should shut this place down!

I never made it to customer status…

I never made it to customer status because Suburban ghosted me.
I contacted Suburban Propane Waldor MD, on 4 Feb and spoke to Tina, who was super friendly. I explained I needed to upgrade my currently owned 350 gal propane tank to a 500 or 1000 gallon. We spoke for a good 22 minutes discussing the reasons I wanted to upgrade, how I ended up with a 350, how Suburban could asset, again, she was very friendly & compassionate and she scheduled a tech visit. 10 Feb, Tina called to inform me of an emergency situation & we rescheduled for the 14th. 14th Tech came out and it was an absolute waste of time, all he said was yeap, you need to upgrade, I’ll let Tina know and have her send you something in writing as the pricing is done by the office and maybe they can swap out your tank but I don’t get involved in that which was part of the reason for him coming out. So, I hear nothing from the office or Tina so I called on the 18th and spoke to Tina, she said she would be working over the weekend & would definitely email me an inventory for a 500 gallon and I asked for one for 1000 as well. She assured me she’d send both. Welll, it’s 24 February and not only have I not received the promised inventory I have not heard back from Tina or anyone at Suburban, they ghosted me for whatever reason. I didn’t ask for the tank for free. I stated I was willing to pay out right for whatever upgrade and costs. If something happened where circumstances changed, no longer in stock, complications from whatever or you simply chose not sell me a tank for whatever reason, you let a customer know. You don’t ghost them. Unprofessional, Horrible customer service and disrespectful, they wasted 3 weeks of my time.

PRICE GOUGING

I tried to order propane from Suburban propane. I asked them for a price to deliver propane and that price came in at $4.30 per gallon. I literally live 1 mile from Suburban propane.
Suburban propane owns my 1000 gallon tank that is underground and I am currently paying a yearly leasing fee to lease the tank.
I contact NUMEROUS other propane companies with the cheapest coming in at $2.17 per gallon and the most expensive coming in at $2.99 per gallon.
I had my wife call Suburban Propane to "act" like she lived in a different location and wanted to have propane delivered. She told Suburban Propane that she was not a regular customer and she was quoted at $2.99 per gallon.
It seems that because I do not own my propane tank and other propane companies can not fill this tank because it's owned by Suburban, Suburban has taken it upon themselves to completely price gouge me.
This is completely unfair especially in the Covid-19 climate.
This should not be allowed!

Seriously if I could give them zero…

Seriously if I could give them zero stars I would. I’ve been dealing with an incorrect bill and their extremely poor customer service for over a year. I finally paid them because they threatened to cut my service even though ALL I WANTED WAS FOR THEM TO CORRECT MY BILL. I wasn’t asking for discounts or anything unreasonable. I was told by multiple employees that this would be resolved. Lies. I was told multiple times that our deliveries wouldn’t be put on hold until this was settled. More lies. I wrote a letter to their customer service team 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. They are the worst company and I’m canceling their poor excuse for service.

DO NOT USE THEM

We have been trying to use their service since 11/09/21, when they so kindly took a large down payment. Service technicians have shown up once, on 01/14/22, then didn't pass the County Inspection days later. We hurriedly got a plumber to get all of the preparations complete on our end, as we assumed they'd return promptly to address the issue and complete our hook up, but that has not been the case. They invoiced us on 01/20/22 for the FULL AMOUNT, no down payment reflected, showing DUE UPON RECEIPT, despite the fact that we still have NOTHING hooked up. We had previously received STATEMENTS showing $0 due, as well as reflecting the credit for the amount paid. Interesting how this one was an INVOICE, despite a phone call (in response to our complaint) stating it was not a bill. What is it then? We were told last week that 02/07 we would have someone here. We waited and no one showed so we called around 3pm to make sure we were on the right day and were told yes, someone would be here. We got an email at 4:11pm stating a technician was on the way. It is now 6:37pm, no one has shown up. This customer service is the absolute worst and the billing isn't any better.

Not acceptable!

I will start with what happened last winter. We were without heat for two weeks. We live in the higher mountains and our driveway is steep. We did have snow during this time. I personally hand shoveled the entire driveway and salted it so the truck could get up, but the driver said he could not get up. This was not true. The driveway was completely clear. So I was told they would be back in a few days. Still no truck. Then we got more snow. So had to clear the driveway again. Finally after two weeks without heat, we got our propane.
Fast forward to today. Our tank was down to 25%. I called on Jan 20th to order, was told it would be delivered by the middle of the following week. On Tuesday of the following week, I called to make sure it was going to be delivered. I was then told it would be delivered that Thursday. I got home Thursday evening, no delivery. So I called and was told sorry they must be running behind. I told her we were expecting snow by Friday evening. She said she would make note of it. On Friday morning I get a call from the local office and was told it usually take 14 days for delivery. Remind you that's not what I was told when I ordered. So here I am today with a good 8" of snow, the tank is down to 19%. I have it turned down low and having to run a space heater. Praying it doesnt run out. This is totally unacceptable. Not to mention their prices are higher than others. We can't have the tank removed because of were it's at. We wanted to buy it from them and was told we couldn't. So we're stuck with this company that needs to very desperately needs to make changes to better serve their customers.

On Jan 7 BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

On Jan 7, 2022 I called Oakhurst office as I live in Mariposa to make a complaint about driver I just saw drive by my window talking on cell phone which he was holding to his ear with his right hand while attempting to put on his glasses with his left hand. The lady who answered the phone started arguing with me, I said "what is your bosses name and phone number" she hung up the phone. I called another CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER I found on line this person was polite, I reminded her that it said "all calls are recorded" so they could listen to my call. She said she would check in to it and someone would call me back. It has been 3 weeks NO ONE CALLED ME BACK??

I recently had a delivery from…

I recently had a delivery from suburban. I was very happy with Brain, the delivery guy. He was very nice and I enjoyed talkin 2 him very much. I would luv 2 have him as my reg del guy, if I decide 2 stay. I was a day early with my delivery and, they charged me 195.00. I was very unhappy with that. I've been a customer for over 2yrs I believe and with the weather the way it's been, if I need another early del, I don't wanna pay that fee again but I am happy with the people that work with me. 2 b honest I will b shopping around 4 another company, I just hate 2 leave Colleen,Stephanie and all the other;s who have been so nice and helpful.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service, they keep calling for a payment even when I am using the monthly budget payment plan service. If you log in to a Suburbane account and select enroll now in Budget Payment Plan the web site suggested I call customer service but gave me the number for a medical alert device company. I especially don't suggest using the budget payment plan service. There is a bad disconect between the local office and corporate. I will probably keep renting my tank from them but have another company fill the tank.
